After rеcоrding the evidеnce, Jiаng Zhengzheng turnеd around cаutiоuslу, intending tо sliр away.

Вut just as shе turnеd, she was stаrtled to sеe а middlе-аged mаn standing at thе stairwell, wеаring а black baseball cap аnd with а thin, short build—and he, toо, wаs holding a daggеr!

“Аh!”

From the moment she saw him, Jiang Zhengzheng’s face turned deathly pale, and cold sweat poured down her back.

“Tsk, tsk, tsk, fresh goods have come knocking again,” the middle-aged man in the baseball cap said, his voice tinged with a strange excitement.

“Who’s there?!” the Bearded Man in the hallway growled, his tone vicious and menacing.

“Annyeong haseyo! I didn’t see anything, seumnida~”

Jiang Zhengzheng forced herself to stay calm, glancing between the Bearded Man and the man in the baseball cap at the stairwell.

“Yo, Old Yong has tricked another girl looking to rent into coming here! We’re gonna make a fortune this time!”

The Bearded Man twirled his dagger, slowly advancing toward Jiang Zhengzheng.

Old Yong? That landlord?

Oh no, oh no—now there are enemies in front and behind me! What do I do? What do I do?

At that moment, Jiang Zhengzheng really wanted to post online and ask netizens:

When a stunningly beautiful and pitifully delicate damsel finds herself trapped between two sinister, cunning, and ferocious-looking bad guys, how should she save herself?

“Leg Brother, stop shaking!”

Watching the two men slowly approach her with knives in hand, Jiang Zhengzheng gave her trembling legs a hard punch, then began backing away slowly toward the other end of the hallway.

“B-big brothers! Both of you! I have selective blindness and deafness! I swear! I swear I didn’t see anything!”

The two knife-wielding men continued to glare at her with sinister expressions, inching closer step by step.

“Who cares if you saw or not!” the man in the baseball cap sneered coldly.

“Brothers, really! I… I have night blindness! I can’t see a thing once it gets dark!”

Glancing down at the cold, gleaming dagger, Jiang Zhengzheng swallowed hard.

Oh my heavens! Someone, please save me!

“Not even the heavens can save you today! Tonight, we’re emptying you of your organs!”

The Bearded Man snarled viciously.

Jiang Zhengzheng nearly fainted from fright at his words.

You xx! You’re the one who’ll get emptied!

Though she cursed him in her heart, Jiang Zhengzheng’s knees had already learned to hit the ground first.

“Big brothers! I’ve been sickly since I was a child—my eyes have pink eye, my heart has a heart attack, and my kidneys have kidney stones!

Don’t let my strong, ox-like appearance fool you! I don’t even need to walk—a gust of wind from outside knocks me over faster than a roly-poly toy, brothers!”

Jiang Zhengzheng cried and sniffled, looking as pitiful as could be.

“If your organs are useless, then I’ll sell you into the mountains!”

The Bearded Man let out a cold laugh.

“Stop wasting time with her! This sly woman recorded a video! Smash her phone!”

The man in the baseball cap lunged forward, reaching out to grab Jiang Zhengzheng.

“Hand it over!”

Startled by the sudden move, Jiang Zhengzheng’s knees buckled, and she stumbled back a step, reflexively hurling her phone out the window!

“Wow! What a shot! Jiang Zhengzheng, you’ve really outdone yourself!”

Watching her phone sail far into the small flowerbed downstairs, Jiang Zhengzheng felt a little impressed with herself.”Oh dear, I’m so sorry, so sorry, you two big brothers! This hand’s just hit its rebellious phase!”

As she spoke, she put on an angry expression, slapping the back of one hand with the other.

“Bad hand! Bad hand! Won’t listen! Let you throw it, let you throw it!”

This scene directly infuriated the two desperadoes facing Jiang Zhengzheng.

“Hah, you’re not deluding yourself into thinking someone will find the phone and call the police, are you? Let me tell you, no one passes by on this road!” The man in the baseball cap gritted his teeth and raised his dagger high again.

If it weren’t for the fear that you lot would put on an act when the police arrived, I would’ve secretly tapped to send the video evidence to a friend while kneeling on the ground! I was just waiting for the phone to regain signal outside so the video could successfully send to my friend!

Though Jiang Zhengzheng thought this in her heart, she remained honest verbally:

“Of course not! Wuwu, brother! Big brother! I’ve already scolded this useless hand of mine for you!”

Jiang Zhengzheng cried while secretly opening her eyes to survey her surroundings.

Whatever, staying here and stalling is just asking to die anyway. Might as well shove them aside and make a run for it first.

“Damn it! Let’s just kill her!”

The Bearded Man raised his knife and lunged at Jiang Zhengzheng.

Gritting her teeth, just as the knife was about to descend, Jiang Zhengzheng pushed hard with both hands against the shorter, thinner-looking man in the baseball cap beside her and quickly dashed away!

“Want to kill your daddy? Can you even catch up? Your daddy passed the fitness test in one go!”

“Damn it! I’m gonna slice you up!”

“Damn, you can’t even kill one person! Hurry up and grab this bitch!”

Hearing the furious voices behind her, Jiang Zhengzheng felt a surge of joy and ran even faster.

However, just as she ran downstairs and was about to reach the main door, a sharp knife came flying straight at Jiang Zhengzheng’s front!

“Thud!”

Unable to dodge in time, Jiang Zhengzheng was stabbed straight in the chest by the dagger and collapsed to the ground.

Damn it! Oh my goodness, how can it hurt this much!

Jiang Zhengzheng winced in pain.

“You… you old bastard! Give me back my rent!”

Jiang Zhengzheng saw clearly that the person who had stabbed her was none other than that landlord!

“Hahahaha, oh! Run, go on, run again!”

The Bearded Man and the baseball cap man had now run down too, circling around the bloodied Jiang Zhengzheng.

Looking at these three colluding villains with their smug faces, Jiang Zhengzheng trembled with rage as she raised an internationally friendly gesture toward them.

“Fuck you mom!”
