Beside the beige velvet pillow, the phone that had been tossed there kept buzzing incessantly, messages popping up one after another:

“Di Zhe, why didn’t you come to class? Get over here!”

“Why aren’t you replying? Did you oversleep? You’re done for, you’ve been marked absent!”

Di Zhe had no time to look at any of it.

At this very moment, he was desperately covering his own mouth, his head thrown back, his entire face flushed a deep red. Beads of sweat rolled down, soaking into the pillow beneath him.

He was terrified of making any strange sounds that might be heard by the neighboring dorm rooms.

From time to time, footsteps and bursts of laughter passed by outside the door. The soundproofing in their student dormitory was terrible, every noise came through as if there were no barrier at all, making him feel as though he might be discovered at any moment, a wave of shame washing over him.

Every time that happened, Di Zhe’s body would instinctively tense.

And Shen Yandong would deliberately take advantage of that moment to tease him further, until Di Zhe was so overwhelmed he felt like he might cry.

Even though he was covering his mouth so tightly he could barely breathe, muffled whimpers still escaped.

To Shen Yandong, the sight was irresistibly enticing and his interest only deepened.

The thin sweater Di Zhe was wearing had been pushed up, at first it had been shoved all the way up to his neck but as his body moved, the fabric shifted along with it. After a while, it slipped back down again, concealing the view that had just been revealed.

Shen Yandong lifted his collar back up and brought it toward his lips, leaning down to coax softly by his ear, “Husband, bite onto your clothes, alright?”

Dazed and unsteady, Di Zhe didn’t even know why he complied but he did.

Satisfied, Shen Yandong straightened up again, licking his lips before suddenly pressing forward with force.

“Mm!!” Di Zhe trembled, squeezing his eyes shut. His hands flailed helplessly in the air, one grabbed onto the edge of the bed, while the other was caught and held by Shen Yandong.

Through tear blurred vision, he could just make out Shen Yandong lowering his head again, burying it against his chest. Before long, soft, rhythmic sounds followed, like a small animal drinking water.

The sense of shame gnawed at him.

Di Zhe had no choice but to let his mind wander wildly, trying to distract himself so he wouldn’t focus on what he was feeling.

How could those cool, aloof lips of Shen Yandong’s do something so intimate? The contrast was far too great.

And why was he so intent on it, as if savoring something delicious?

Shen Yandong seemed to truly enjoy this, just like the previous times, every single time, lingering over it with obvious relish.

Damn it, he was an alpha, so why did being touched like this still make him feel something?

The first time he’d been taken, it had hurt quite a bit but this time… it didn’t anymore. What was wrong with him?

How could he be this hopeless?

What exactly had happened?

It seemed… it seemed like when Shen Yandong called him “husband,” he had grown dazed, as if bewitched and ended up being led back onto the bed again.

And it hadn’t just been once.

Even now, Shen Yandong’s voice was at his ear, cool and clear, not sweet or cloying yet it made the tips of his ears itch.

“Do you like hearing me call you ‘husband’ that much? Then I’ll call you that every day. As much as you want to hear.”

“When we’re in the dorm, I’ll call you ‘husband’ all the time. What about outside? Do you want to hear me say ‘husband’ there too?”

“N…. no… don’t…”

“I didn’t hear you clearly, husband. Say it again.”

“I told you but you don’t listen…”

Di Zhe’s voice broke into soft, uneven sobs. He resisted weakly, half heartedly pushing back yet in the end, he still yielded.

What else could he do if he didn’t give in? Even when he said no, Shen Yandong never listened.

The sensitive period seemed endless. He had no idea how much time had passed when, sometime in the afternoon, his phone started ringing.

The first two times, it was ignored completely. When it rang a third time, persistent and insistent, Shen Yandong glanced at it with mild impatience and said, “Your uncle is calling. Seems urgent, he’s called three times already.”

Di Zhe remembered.

“Don’t answer it,” he said.

Shen Yandong looked thoughtful for a moment, then suddenly smiled. “Why not answer it, husband?”

“Just don’t.”

But Shen Yandong picked up the phone anyway.

Di Zhe lunged forward, reaching out to snatch it, sitting up abruptly.

He didn’t get it in time.

The call connected.

The speaker was turned on.

Shen Yandong paused for the moment, holding Di Zhe in his arms as he practically threw himself into him.

Di Zhe froze, tears still in his eyes, silently praying: Please don’t mention taking me out to those places…

His uncle’s voice came through the speaker, loud and clear.

“Where are you, Di Zhe? Why aren’t you replying to my messages?”

“Don’t tell me you slept until the afternoon? Hurry up, get dressed. The beautiful omegas are waiting for you at the club.”

Damn it… he said it anyway.

Di Zhe lowered his head, not daring to look at Shen Yandong’s expression at all.

When this guy got worked up, he was definitely going to torment him again.

From behind him, Shen Yandong pressed the phone against Di Zhe’s left ear yet spoke close to his right ear, his voice low and calm. “Answer it.”

Di Zhe forced himself to endure, steadying his breathing, adjusting his tone so it would sound as normal as possible. He kept his sentences short, less chance of giving himself away and spoke word by word, as if each syllable had to be pushed out with effort. “I’m not going.”

“Why not? You suddenly tell me you’re not coming?”

“I have something to do.”

“What do you have to do?”

“Anyway… I have something to do.”

“Is it because of that beta? Feeling guilty? I’ve told you before, don’t hang yourself on a single tree. There are plenty of omegas out there who are prettier and gentler than him.”

Uncle… it’s not that I’m unwavering and devoted.

It’s because… I’ve been caught!

Di Zhe cried inwardly.

“I’m not going. I said it already. Hanging up.”

“Huh? Hanging up what-”

Beep, beep,

The call was cut off.

Less than three seconds later, it rang again.

Di Chengyu’s voice came through, displeased. “Di Zhe, who are you talking to?”

But this time, the one who answered him wasn’t Di Zhe.

It was a stranger’s voice, cold and unfamiliar.

“Hello.”

Di Chengyu frowned. “Who are you?”

Shen Yandong’s chill seemed as if it could travel straight through the signal itself. “I’m Di Zhe’s boyfriend. The beta you mentioned earlier, my surname is Shen.”

“From now on, please behave like an elder should. Don’t say such improper, inappropriate things to Di Zhe again. Thank you.”

With that, without waiting for any response, he hung up once more.

This sudden interruption sent a storm of jealousy surging through Shen Yandong.

Di Zhe felt it too. The atmosphere shifted instantly, growing far more intense.

Shen Yandong said coldly, “You’re not allowed to go looking for omegas.”

“That’s not fair…” Di Zhe tried to explain, “I haven’t even gone to find them yet…”

“You’re really impossible to trust,” Shen Yandong replied.

Holding his breath, Di Zhe muttered, “Then… how about you just stop liking me?”

Shen Yandong was stubborn. “I already like you and I’ll keep liking you in the future.”

Di Zhe couldn’t understand. The confusion that had been lingering in his heart finally spilled out. “Why do you like me so much now?”

“I’ve always liked you,” Shen Yandong said. “From the very beginning, I liked you a lot.”

“Di Zhe,” he continued softly, “I like you. Do you like me?”

“I… don’t know.”

“Do you like me?”

“I said I don’t know.”

“How could you not know?” Shen Yandong said. “Back in high school, you told me you liked me eight thousand nine hundred and fifty three times. You said it that many times, of course you like me.”

Di Zhe was completely stunned.

Had he really said it that many times?

B… but…

“So,” Shen Yandong pressed again, “do you like me?”

“…”

“Do you like me?”

“…Fine,” Di Zhe finally gave in. “I like you.”

“Will you like me forever?”

“……”

“Even if you don’t say it now, sooner or later, you’ll have to.”

Di Zhe felt like crying.

Shen Yandong gently stroked the back of his neck, his movements slow and soothing. “Di Zhe, my definition of love is something unique and irreplaceable. Before, I hadn’t figured it out, so I couldn’t easily answer when you said you liked me. Thank you for persisting back then, you finally helped me understand.”

“I’m willing to give all my love to you. I love you. From now on, I will love you forever.”

“As a response, you have to love me forever too.”

Shen Yandong’s confession was like countless tiny needles of sugar, pricking into his skin, seeping silently and swiftly into every inch of him.

His overwhelming possessiveness surged like a tide, flooding into Di Zhe’s very soul.

And yet, Di Zhe found himself thinking, inexplicably, that in this entire world, there would never be a second person who could love him the way Shen Yandong did.

Once again, Shen Yandong asked, “Will you love me forever?”

Di Zhe, flustered and dazed, nodded.

Still unsatisfied, Shen Yandong frowned slightly, then leaned in to lightly peck his lips. “Say it clearly to me.”

Di Zhe said, “Forever.”

Only then did Shen Yandong seem barely satisfied. He grasped the back of his neck, pressing him forward, while leaning in himself, capturing his lips in a kiss.

He kissed him again and again, as if he could never get enough.

By the time they finally stopped, the sky had already darkened once more.

Di Zhe’s sensitive period had, more or less, come to an end. Exhausted, he lost consciousness and fell into a deep sleep.

Shen Yandong was tired as well. In the same disheveled state, he followed him into sleep, holding Di Zhe tightly even in slumber, as if trying to imprison him within his arms.

Di Zhe was like a gust of wind.

After all his effort, all his restless longing, he had finally managed to grasp a piece of that wind.

Closing his eyes, his thoughts drifted back.

Back to two years ago, to the night he first met Di Zhe…
