“Oh…

Right, I see.

You want us to clean this place together?” Roxy clicked her tongue, gently waving her index finger side to side.Full novel: One Man Is Not Enough For Me: Fated To Four Alphas — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Her voice was calm, dripping with absolute finality.

“No, my dear Cynthia…

you’ve misunderstood.

*You* are going to clean this room entirely by yourself, while I go back down to the lobby to see about getting my heavy luggage carried up.” Cynthia recoiled a step, her face tightening with shock.

She had crossed paths with humans before; they were always the weakest, most submissive creatures.

But the girl standing before her now seemed molded from an entirely different, unyielding iron.

Cynthia hesitated, attempting to push back.

“But…

I don’t think I have the strength to clear all this filth by myself without some help…” Roxy took a sudden, swift step forward, erasing the distance between them.

She pinned Cynthia with a sharp, piercing stare that radiated a cold, dominant power, her voice dropping to a low, icy register.

“I am going downstairs now.

When I return and open this door, I want to see my room pristine and spotless, Cynthia.

Do I make myself clear?” A genuine prickle of terror struck Cynthia’s heart.

Despite her pride as a werewolf who shouldn’t submit to a clawless human, her body betrayed her.

Her feet moved automatically toward an old broom in the corner, as if a binding submission spell had completely hijacked her free will.

Roxy turned and exited the room silently, leaving Cynthia to throw herself into the labor without another word, completely stripped of the courage to say no.

Roxy returned to the wide lower lobby where mountains of luggage from the incoming students were stacked.

She stood proudly before her two massive trunks, which were crafted with a heavy, reinforced build that made it physically impossible for her human strength to budge them an inch without aid.

She arched her left eyebrow, sweeping her gaze over the lobby with a confident smile, looking for her next target to lift the weight.

Her eyes drifted across the hall, watching the students pass by.

She leaned her back against a nearby stone pillar, adopting a mask of perfect serenity a master predator waiting for the right moment to strike.

She didn’t have to wait long.

Her eyes locked onto a remarkably broad-shouldered young man.

He wore a tight gray shirt that emphasized the chiseled contours of his chest and muscular physique, effortlessly swinging a single small bag in his hand.

From his arrogant, loose stride and distracted eyes, she instantly flagged him as a Beta the class that ruled by relying heavily on physical dominance rather than intellect.

Roxy walked with measured steps and cut directly into his path, standing before a massive frame that easily doubled her size.

The young man looked down from his towering height, a patronizing smirk carving onto his lips.

“Get out of my way, human.

I don’t have time to waste on fragile creatures like you.” Roxy didn’t even blink.

Maintaining her icy composure and provocative stare, she spoke in a clear, elevated voice that carried across the surrounding students.

“I’ve heard rumors that the Beta students in this academy are the definition of physical strength and high endurance.

But it seems those rumors were just overhyping empty muscle.” The young man’s smirk vanished instantly.

His muscles tightened, his brow furrowing with absolute hostility as he stepped into her space.

“What did you just say?

Do you have any idea who you’re talking to, pint-size?

I’m Ethan, and I could snap your bones with a single finger!” Roxy’s lips curled into a sly smile.

She tilted her chin toward her two massive trunks resting on the stone floor.

“Fine, Ethan…

then prove it to me.

These trunks look far too heavy for your endurance.

I challenge you to carry them both together all the way up to the attic in the West Tower without stopping once to catch your breath.

Or is that muscle you’re flexing just for show?” The veins in his forehead bulged with a sweeping rage, his eyes flashing with a lethal promise.

His pride as a Beta werewolf couldn’t tolerate this public interrogation of his strength by a tiny human girl especially as a handful of students began circling to watch the spectacle unfold.

He marched toward the trunks with furious strides, bending down to grip the handles with immense force, growling through clenched teeth, “You’re going to deeply regret those words, redhead.

I’ll make you drop to your knees and beg for an apology when we hit the top.” Roxy raised her eyebrow with total indifference.

“I’ll be waiting to see it.

Lead the way, then.” Ethan ripped the two massive trunks off the floor simultaneously, putting his raw physical power on display.

He began marching toward the stairs with heavy steps dripping with fury.

Roxy followed at a leisurely, amused pace, sinking both hands into her pockets.

The stares tracking them through the corridors were a mixture of absolute shock and bewilderment; everyone was witnessing a massive, furious Beta hauling a human girl’s luggage like a loyal servant, while she trailed behind him with the absolute pride of a queen.

When they reached the end of the Elite Wing and began climbing the narrow, gray stone steps of the attic, Ethan’s ragged, heavy breathing became loud due to the immense weight and cramped space.

Yet, his stubbornness prevented him from stopping or dropping the trunks for even a second.

Directly behind him, Roxy monitored his movements with complete detachment, thoroughly enjoying the details of her silent victory.

Finally, Ethan kicked the small door open violently with his boot and stormed into Room 404, slamming the trunks onto the floor with a loud crash that vibrated through the small space.

His chest heaved rapidly, sweat dripping from his brow as he whirled on Roxy, his eyes throwing sparks of pure hatred.

“We’re here…

Now, keep your word and apologize!” Before Roxy gave him an answer, she let her eyes sweep the room.

Cynthia had worked an absolute miracle in her absence.

The wooden floorboards were scrubbed and gleaming, the heavy layers of dust had completely vanished, and the old furniture had been rearranged with meticulous coordination.

Cynthia stood in the far corner, gripping a cleaning rag with trembling hands, staring in terror at the massive guest who had just violated the space.

Roxy turned her gaze back to Ethan.

Not a single trace of gratitude or awe showed on her face.

Instead, she commented with absolute dryness, casually inspecting the state of her fingernails.

“Not bad…

It took you a bit longer than I anticipated, but at least you’ve proven you possess a shred of physical capability.” Ethan recoiled a step, taken aback by her unyielding stability and the complete absence of fear in her eyes.

He felt entirely trapped by a lethal composure he had never witnessed in a human before.

Before he could unleash a violent reaction, Roxy raised her hand, pointing her index finger toward the exit.

“Thank you for the delivery, Ethan.

You may leave now.

I have a great deal of work to attend to.” Ethan couldn’t stomach this humiliating dismissal.

His eyes ignited with a lethal promise, and he surged forward a sudden, aggressive step, dropping his massive frame directly into her personal space.

A raw, predatory growl ripped from the depths of his chest, vibrating the very walls of the cramped room.

He hoisted a heavy, clenched fist, trembling with the violent urge to crush her, his voice dropping to a savage snarl.

In the far corner, Cynthia cowered against the wall, squeezing her eyes shut in sheer terror, bracing for the inevitable bloodshed.

But instead of flinching, Roxy’s hand moved.

Her arm extended with fluid, unbelievable steadiness.

With absolute, spine-chilling composure, she placed her palm directly on top of his head.

Her slender fingers moved, lightly stroking his disheveled hair with a mocking, patronizing gentleness exactly as if she were soothing a frantic, misbehaving puppy.

“Don’t lose your temper, darling,” she murmured, her voice a low, dripping taunt.

“Calm down.

Rage is so bad for your health.” Right then, the impossible happened.

The exact millisecond her fingertips brushed against his scalp, a jarring, icy wave surged through Ethan’s veins.

He gasped, his ragged breath catching in his throat.

The frantic, violent pounding in his chest began to slow against his own volition, as if every microscopic cell of rage in his body had been instantly paralyzed and dissolved by a localized, invisible spell.

Ethan recoiled a heavy step, panting as he stared at her in absolute shock and horror.

The raw fury was still burning white-hot inside his mind he wanted nothing more than to tear the very walls of the room down but his physical body and his nerves completely refused to execute his instincts.

He stood frozen, realized his pride as a Beta had been thoroughly broken, ground into the dust beneath the heel of this anomalous human girl.

Despite his staggering physical superiority, his limbs betrayed him.

He pivoted toward the threshold, his head dropping from the crushing weight of his stifled wrath and the venom searing his chest.

Gripping the doorframe, he squeezed his fists until his knuckles turned white, throwing one last poisoned whisper over his shoulder before slamming the heavy wood shut: “The welcoming ceremony is tomorrow…

Tomorrow, I’ll bring you back down to your actual size and show you your real place.” Roxy shut the door behind him with absolute quiet, then turned her face toward Cynthia, who was staring at her with wide eyes and total astonishment, as if she were facing a ghost.

Roxy’s lips parted into her usual cold smile as she took the lead.

“Excellent work, Cynthia.

Now, it’s time to unpack these trunks and organize their contents.” She took a few steps toward the window overlooking the academy, whispering to herself, “I imagined the first day in their territory would be an arduous uphill battle, but in reality, it seems much easier than I calculated.” Before the victorious smile could fully form on Roxy’s lips, a sharp, cutting voice pierced the silence from behind her, carrying a sickeningly familiar tone that drawled with heavy sarcasm: “The nobody human lives at the very top of the attic like a disgusting, annoying spider.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Z_Hira Don’t forget to leave me your comments.
