It’s time to find the Goro Goro no Mi!
“Jellal, where are we going next?
Are we going back?” Boa Marigold asked.
The gold had been found, but they couldn’t take it back, so they could only return and find another way later.
“No rush, it’s still early.
We have one more place to go, but I don’t know the way.
I’ll have to find someone to ask.” After saying that, Jellal walked toward the residential area.
“One more place?” Marigold muttered as she followed behind him.
Boom!!
A violent explosion suddenly echoed from the forest!
Jellal looked toward the forest; it was likely the Skypieans and the Shandia fighting.
“Jellal, aren’t we going to take a look?” Marigold looked toward the direction of the explosion, eager to try her hand.
The people here seemed very weak!
On Amazon Lily, Marigold had only ever fought her sister, and she was always the one being beaten.
Now, she wanted to see what it felt like to be the one doing the hitting!
“No.
There’s nothing interesting about watching ants fight,” Jellal refused immediately.
Finally, they saw people!
Upon reaching the residential area, Skypieans were gathered in small groups, looking toward the forest with worry.
“Who are you!
What are you doing here?” Several Skypieans immediately took a defensive stance upon seeing Jellal and Marigold, while others watched them warily.
“Don’t be nervous.
We aren’t your enemies.
We’ve come from the Blue Sea!” Jellal said as he walked over.
“From the Blue Sea?”
“Blue Sea dwellers?”
The Skypieans looked at Jellal and his companion in surprise.
“It seems they really are.
They look just like the people from that Pirate Crew before!” A middle-aged man said after looking closely at Jellal.
The other Skypieans also remembered; they had hosted a Pirate Crew several years ago.
Then, these Skypieans looked at Jellal and Marigold with a strange feeling.
Though they were about as tall as adults, their faces were too tender—they looked like children!
“Does anyone know which direction Birka is in?
We’re going to Birka!” Jellal asked directly.
“You’re going to Birka?
Young man, what do you want to do there?
Outsiders aren’t allowed to enter that place!” an old man with a white beard said seriously.
Even though they were all Sky Islands, Birka was extremely xenophobic!
“You don’t need to worry about that.
You just need to tell me which direction Birka is in!” Jellal said calmly.
“Fine.
Even if I tell you, you won’t be able to get there.
Birka is to the south of our Sky Island, and it’s not close!” The old man pointed in a direction.
“Thanks, old man~”
“Marigold, let’s go!”
What happened next nearly caused the Skypieans’ jaws to drop!
Marigold transformed directly into a giant White-Tailed Eagle and flew rapidly toward Birka with Jellal on her back!
“Jellal, what are we going to Birka for?” Marigold couldn’t help but ask.
That old man just said Birka doesn’t welcome outsiders!
I want to check it out,” Jellal said casually.
“A shrine?” Marigold muttered, her wings flapping a bit faster.
…
“Is this Birka?
It’s much smaller than the Sky Island we were just on…”
With Marigold’s extreme speed, the two of them soon reached Birka.
“This should be it.
Marigold, look carefully for the shrine.
We’re going straight there!” Jellal said, observing the small Sky Island from above Birka.
“I understand.” Marigold circled high in the sky to search.
After eating the White-Tailed Eagle Fruit, her vision had been enhanced like never before!
“Look!
What is that!”
“Such a huge bird!”
“There seems to be someone on it!!”
Marigold’s circling above caught the attention of the people of Birka.
“Jellal, is it over there?”
“Let me see.” Jellal looked in the direction Marigold indicated and indeed saw a building that looked like a temple.
“That’s the place.
Let’s go down!”
With a sudden spiral descent from Marigold, the two of them landed outside the shrine.
“Halt!
You are not allowed to enter!”
Seeing Jellal and Marigold land at the shrine, the people of Birka rushed over to stop them.
“Damned Blue Sea dwellers!
The shrine is our place for sacrifices; you are not allowed to enter!”
“Marigold, step back a bit!”
Jellal drew his snow drinker sword and spoke in a low voice.
He didn’t want to waste words with these people!
Marigold obediently stepped to the side.
“Startling Cold Glance!!”
Jellal directly unleashed a thirty-nine-meter blade qi!
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!!
A series of sonic booms rang out!
“Argh!!”
“Cursed Blue Sea dwellers!”
“Save me!”
The dozen or so Birka people charging at the front were instantly blown into minced meat!
Several others near the explosion had their limbs blown off, becoming cripples!
The people behind them skidded to a halt, looking at Jellal with eyes full of terror!
“Come closer, and you die!!”
Jellal spoke in a voice that brooked no argument.
“High Priest…
sir, wh…
what should we do!” A middle-aged man looked toward an elder dressed in sacrificial robes.
“Don’t act rashly for now!”
The High Priest said in a low voice. Get faster updates on g.com.
He hadn’t expected these two tender-looking Blue Sea dwellers to be so powerful!
“Marigold, guard the entrance.
If they dare to barge in, kill them all!” Jellal looked coldly at the Birka people ahead.
“Don’t worry, I know what to do!”
Marigold immediately took a combat stance, glaring at the Birka people.
Jellal thrust the snow drinker sword into the ground at the entrance and walked into the shrine.
With Marigold’s strength, these Birka people were no match for her!
After entering the shrine, Jellal looked around.
The shrine was large, but the sacrificial hall only had a single birdman statue in the center.
The wings of this statue were much larger than those of the Skypieans!
Jellal thought it was likely a Lunarian, just like King.
After searching for a while, Jellal still hadn’t found the Goro Goro no Mi.
Finally, he turned his gaze toward the statue.
Jellal gathered strength in his legs and leaped up, jumping directly onto the statue’s head.
Finally, he saw a box in a hollow on top of the statue’s head!
“It should be here!”
Jellal smiled.
If he hadn’t come up to look, he really wouldn’t have found it.
He opened the box, and a golden pineapple-shaped Devil Fruit with lightning patterns on its surface appeared inside.
There was also a diagram at the bottom, which should be the blueprints for the Ark Maxim!
The Goro Goro no Mi, the most powerful Logia-type fruit!
Jellal didn’t hesitate; he picked up the Goro Goro no Mi and took a bite.
Gag!
“This tastes damn awful!!”
After Jellal struggled to swallow it, the rest of the fruit instantly rotted away.
His palm opened slightly, and with a thought, the crackling sound of electricity rang out!
The corners of Jellal’s mouth curled up.
“Eneru, sorry about that!
You won’t be the God of Thunder anymore!”
Time to go back.
Jellal put away the Ark blueprints, jumped down from the statue, and returned to the entrance.
The Birka people were still in a standoff with Marigold.
“Let’s go, we’re heading back!”
“Eh?
We’re going back already?”
Marigold looked at Jellal in surprise.
She thought Jellal was looking for something, but now seeing Jellal empty-handed, it seemed like he had nothing.
“The business is done.
Let’s go!”
“Alright!” Marigold didn’t think much more of it.
Carrying Jellal, she soared into the sky and flew back toward Amazon Lily.
“Go in and see what happened inside!”
“Yes!
High Priest!”
After Jellal and his companion left, the Birka people all rushed into the shrine.
