The summer sun beat down on the training grounds, radiating a scorching heat.

Elite Marines from all over the world were currently undergoing intense training.

Among them was a handsome young man standing two and a half meters tall.

Bare-chested with slightly bronzed skin, he was doing squats while lifting a massive boulder over five meters high.

“998, 999, 1000!”

Reaching 1000, the young man paused slightly before his fingers surged with power, piercing directly into the solid rock.

Using the sheer strength of his fingers and arm muscles, he steadily lowered the boulder onto the training ground.

“Phew, warm-up complete.

Time to find a sparring partner.”

Bordeaux Raizen casually wiped the sweat from his forehead, his sharp gaze sweeping across the faces of the other cadets in the training ground.

However, any cadet who met his gaze quickly turned their head away, not daring to make eye contact.

It wasn’t surprising.

He, Bordeaux Raizen, was an orphan picked up by the Marine Hero Garp on a deserted island in the East Blue a year ago.

He was a ruthless survivor who, after transmigrating, spent fourteen years playing castaway with a pack of wild animals.

He was a monster who displayed an overwhelmingly powerful physique the moment he joined the Elite Training Camp, and the personally acknowledged top disciple of Instructor Zephyr.

It was only natural that these ordinary cadets were afraid of getting beaten up.

That’s right, Bordeaux Raizen was a transmigrator.

And the kind who was left completely to his own devices, abandoned alone on a deserted island right after crossing over.

He thought his life would be cut short, but unexpectedly, he was taken in and raised by a pack of wolves on the island.

Raizen lived with the wolves for fourteen years.

It wasn’t until a year ago, while he was burying the old wolf king who had died of old age, that a passing Garp noticed him.

Thus, the current Bordeaux Raizen came to be.

Raizen looked around but couldn’t find a single cadet brave enough to meet his eyes, making him feel utterly bored.

“Sigh, these cadets are all too weak.

Even if they were willing to spar with me, it probably wouldn’t do me any good anyway.”

Raizen intentionally raised his voice, ensuring his words reached the ears of every cadet present.

It was the truth, albeit a harsh one, but the cadets simply pretended not to hear him, continuing their exercises at their own pace.

That bastard Raizen was provoking them, and they weren’t going to fall for it.

Besides, Raizen had used this trick many times before.

By now, there was basically no idiot left who would be affected by such a clumsy taunt.

But since it was only ‘basically’, there was always an exception.

“You bastard Raizen, stop looking down on people!”

A white-haired cadet wearing the standard uniform, sporting a scar running from his forehead to the corner of his eye, suddenly jumped up.

He closed the distance in a few strides and grabbed Raizen’s arm, looking absolutely furious.

Seeing the hothead jump out, Raizen mimicked the pursed lips of a certain flashy man who had eaten the wretched fruit.

“Oh, if it isn’t Smoker.

Back for another beating?”

Behind Smoker, a female cadet with long pink hair and a pair of sunglasses resting on her forehead sighed and facepalmed.

“Smoker, you idiot!

Hina is definitely not carrying you back this time!

You can crawl back to the dorms yourself!”

But Smoker, currently in a state of blind rage, ignored her.

He clenched his right fist, and white smoke suddenly erupted, transforming his entire right arm into a billowing cloud.

“Watch me defeat you this time!

White Blow!”

Seeing this, the corner of Raizen’s mouth curled up.

His entire body tensed, and he clenched his left fist as well.

In an instant, Armament Haki, as black as ink, coated his hand.

“Fist Bone: Normal Attack!”

The white fist and the black fist clashed.

The massive impact from the collision swatted Smoker away like a fly.

He spun seven hundred and twenty degrees in the air before his head smashed into the perimeter wall, instantly knocking him out cold on the ground.

Raizen stood his ground, retracting his punching stance, and spoke in a casual tone.

“How many times has Instructor Zephyr told you not to rely too much on your Devil Fruit powers?

How could you possibly be my match when you haven’t even mastered Armament Haki?”

Ah, that felt good.

The daily beating of Smoker was complete!

Smoker relied too heavily on his fruit and refused to listen to Instructor Zephyr’s warnings.

So, Raizen had volunteered for the job, maintaining a daily routine of beating Smoker up using Haki.

As long as the beatings continued, Smoker would eventually come to his senses one day.

Haki was the true foundation, after all.

Hina shook her head from the sidelines.

Smoker was such an idiot.

Standing there, Raizen felt his muscles and bones had finally loosened up.

He turned and walked toward the training camp instructor’s office.

He needed to fight strong opponents to hone himself, and obviously, Instructor Zephyr was an excellent choice.

Smoker?

At best, he was just a speed bump used to stretch his limbs.

But before he could take two steps, Raizen froze.

[Ding!

The corner of Raizen’s mouth twitched.

‘Seriously, bro, do you even hear yourself?’

‘I, Bordeaux Raizen, am a Marine!

And now you want me to go do something a pirate would do??’

‘Shouldn’t you give me some kind of slaughter system or justice point system, the kind where I get stronger by killing pirates?’

‘Yet here you are, telling me to be a pirate…’

Raizen felt his temples throbbing.

He had waited bitterly for fifteen years for a system, only for it to be a pirate system.

Was he supposed to announce his defection from the Marines right here and now?

Give me a break.

He had lived very comfortably in the Marines over the past year.

Instructor Zephyr, Instructor Garp, and Instructor Sengoku had all treated him incredibly well, teaching him without holding anything back.

A person had to know how to be grateful.

It was impossible, and he absolutely would not defect from the Marines at a time like this.

‘Forget it, forget it.

Even without this system, I can still become invincible in this world!’

‘Haven’t you heard that only Haki can transcend all?’

But despite saying that, Raizen felt he still needed to find someone to vent his frustrations on.

So, Raizen turned around, his gaze sweeping across the training ground once more.

Smoker?

No good, he had already been put to sleep.

Disqualified.

But the others weren’t strong enough either.

The only one left was…

Raizen’s eyes locked onto Hina.

Seeing this, Hina shuddered and couldn’t help but take a half-step back.

“You already beat up Smoker, so you can’t beat up Hina too!”

“…Never mind,” Raizen said.

“Hina, do you have any money on you?

I didn’t bring any when I left today, and I want to go buy some rum.”

Hearing this, Hina breathed a sigh of relief.

She fished a few bills out of her uniform pocket and handed them to Raizen.

“This is all Hina has on her, but it should be enough for you to buy a few bottles.”

“Alright, thanks.

I’ll treat you next time.”

Raizen turned to leave, but at that moment, the system popped up again.
