He bounced across the tavern counter like an angry monkey.

“That’s not fair!” “Kahn’s only three years older than me!” Luffy pointed accusingly toward Kahn, who remained calmly eating grilled meat nearby.

But after eating the Gomu Gomu no Mi, his rubbery fingers flopped weakly in every direction, completely ruining any intimidation he tried to create.

“Why did you invite him onto the ship but call me a brat?!” “I’m strong too!” “My punches are like pistols!” To prove himself, Luffy swung his fist dramatically toward the counter.

Unfortunately— He used too much force.

Stretch— His arm elongated like rubber tubing, wrapped around his own neck twice, then rebounded violently.

Smack!!

His fist slammed directly into the back of his own head.

“Owwww!!” Tears instantly flooded Luffy’s eyes as he crouched on the counter while clutching his skull miserably.

The tavern erupted into laughter again.

Lucky Roux laughed so hard he nearly dropped the meat in his hand.

Yasopp wiped tears from his eyes.

“This kid’s incredible.” “A born comedian.” Meanwhile, Shanks rested his chin on one hand while smirking toward Luffy.

“Kahn might only be three years older than you…” “But he can eat ten plates of grilled meat in under a minute.” “Can you?” Luffy froze.

He looked toward the mountain of empty plates stacked beside Kahn.

Then down toward his own still-flat stomach.

“…No.” “Exactly.” Shanks pointed lazily toward Kahn again.

“He sits there like a mountain.” “And you…” Shanks pushed another glass of orange juice toward Luffy.

“Wipe the milk mustache off first.” Luffy instinctively grabbed the drink and swallowed it in one gulp.

“Delicious!” Then realization struck.

“…WAIT!” “Shanks, you tricked me again!!” “I’m not a little kid!” Ace immediately snorted from nearby.

Portgas D.

Ace had already grown completely impatient with Luffy’s antics.

“Idiot.” “You’re literally crying over juice.” Meanwhile, Kahn calmly finished his twentieth plate of grilled meat.

At only eight years old, his metabolism had already become horrifying.

Every second beneath sunlight strengthened his Kryptonian cells continuously, and maintaining such monstrous biological evolution required absurd energy intake.

Kahn elegantly wiped his mouth with a napkin.

“…Still not full.” He looked toward Makino.

Makino immediately looked embarrassed.

“Kahn…” “We’re out of meat.” “Even the emergency stock was eaten by these pirate uncles.” Kahn sighed softly.

Awkward.

Before he could respond— A massive roasted drumstick suddenly appeared before him.

Lucky Roux grinned while holding it out casually.

“Here.” “You’re still growing.” “For such a skinny frame, you eat pretty well.” Kahn accepted it without ceremony.

Crunch.

He bit away nearly half the meat in one mouthful.

“…Thanks.” Lucky Roux stared at him thoughtfully for a moment.

Then his grin widened.

“Hey, brat.” “I heard you’re ridiculously strong.” “How about an arm wrestling match?” The atmosphere inside the tavern changed instantly.

The Red-Haired Pirates immediately started shouting excitedly.

“OHHHH!” “The fat guy’s bullying children again!” “I’m betting ten thousand Berries on Lucky Roux!” “No way that brat lasts three seconds!” Even Luffy stopped fooling around and leaned dangerously far across the counter to watch.

Ace and Sabo also stepped closer.

Although they understood how monstrous Kahn truly was— Lucky Roux radiated terrifying pressure as well.

Underneath all that fat hid overwhelming muscle density forged through battles in the New World.

Kahn calmly swallowed the last bite of meat.

Then tossed the bone onto the empty plates.

“Fine.” “Good exercise after eating.” He extended his right arm casually.

Compared to Roux’s massive bear-like hand, Kahn’s looked smaller.

But only visually.

The moment their hands locked together— Shanks grinned broadly.

“Ready?” “Go.” The instant the words fell— Lucky Roux’s muscles exploded with force.

The fat across his arm tightened instantly like compressed steel.

Crack.

The tavern counter groaned beneath the pressure.

That level of raw power could easily snap a grown man in half.

Yet— Kahn’s arm did not move.

Not even slightly.

It resembled a steel pillar hammered directly into the earth itself.

Even more terrifying— The muscles beneath Kahn’s skin barely flexed.

Lucky Roux’s grin gradually froze.

The sensation felt wrong.

Completely wrong.

This wasn’t arm wrestling against a human child.

It felt like trying to overturn a mountain using brute force alone.

No matter how much strength he applied— Nothing happened.

Kahn calmly glanced toward him.

“That’s all?” Then— He pushed downward casually.

BOOM!!

Lucky Roux’s arm slammed violently into the counter.

The thick oak surface exploded apart instantly.

Wood fragments scattered throughout the tavern.

Silence.

Absolute silence.

The pirates who had been cheering moments earlier froze entirely.

Yasopp’s rifle slipped from his fingers.

Even Benn Beckman opened his eyes fully for the first time.

Instant defeat.

Pure physical domination.

Lucky Roux stared blankly at his reddened hand.

Then toward Kahn.

“…Monster.” His voice sounded genuine.

He was a veteran pirate who had survived countless battles in the New World.

Yet he had just lost completely in a contest of strength against an eight-year-old child from East Blue.

Nearby, Ace clenched his fists tightly.

The competitive fire inside him intensified again.

The gap between himself and Kahn kept growing wider.

Meanwhile, Sabo lowered the brim of his hat slightly while smiling faintly.

“As expected of you…” Luffy’s jaw nearly hit the floor.

“That’s amazing!!” “I wanna try too!” His rubber arm stretched outward excitedly toward Kahn.

Then— BANG!!

The tavern doors exploded open violently.

The wooden panels slammed against the walls hard enough to shake the building.

Sunlight streamed inward.

A burly man carrying a longsword stepped through the entrance arrogantly.

Behind him followed over a dozen rough-looking bandits carrying rifles and machetes.

The entire group smelled of dirt, alcohol, and cheap tobacco.

Their leader slowly scanned the tavern.

His gaze paused briefly on the Red-Haired Pirates before disdain appeared across his face.

“I’m Higuma.” “The Mountain Bandit King with an eight-million-Berry bounty.” He slammed his wanted poster directly onto the counter dramatically.

Inside East Blue, eight million Berries sounded terrifying.

But within this tavern— That number barely qualified as pocket change.

Shanks didn’t even look up.

He simply continued drinking quietly.

Meanwhile, Kahn casually spun a fork between his fingers while watching Higuma with faint amusement.

Finally.

The first real clown had arrived.

Higuma’s expression darkened immediately after being ignored.

He stomped toward the counter and shoved Luffy aside carelessly.

Luffy rolled across the floor like a rubber ball.

“We’re buying alcohol.” “Ten barrels.” “Bring out your best liquor.” Makino looked slightly nervous but still answered politely.

“I’m sorry…” “We’re sold out.” Higuma frowned deeply.

Then pointed toward the Red-Haired Pirates’ table.

“…Then what are those?” “Water?”
