Madara Uchiha stood within the forehead of Susanoo.
With his arms folded across his chest, he looked down at Diablo below.
The next second, Madara burst into wild laughter.
“Diablo, there’s still time to admit defeat.” “Once we really start fighting, surrendering halfway won’t save you.” Diablo did not take Madara’s words seriously.
The corners of his mouth curved upward.
At this moment, just like Madara, he was incredibly excited.
“A giant with nothing but raw power won’t be enough to defeat me.” “Tch.” Madara did not bother continuing the verbal exchange.
Blue light suddenly surged across the Susanoo he controlled.
Before long, the light visibly condensed into a massive bow.
Susanoo pulled the bowstring back.
A gigantic blue arrow immediately shot forward.
Diablo naturally had no intention of foolishly taking it head-on.
A pair of wings instantly appeared behind him.
He flew straight into the sky.
BOOM!
The blue arrow struck the ground like an enormous bomb, triggering a violent explosion.
Whoosh!
Whoosh!
Whoosh!
Susanoo drew the bow again.
Blue arrows were fired one after another.
However, with Diablo’s speed, avoiding attacks like these was effortless.
“Madara, if this is the only trick you have, forget defeating me.” Diablo hovered in midair and could not resist mocking him.
“Even touching me will be a problem.” Madara did not seem bothered in the slightest.
“You have a point.” As he spoke, he brought his hands together.
The bow in Susanoo’s hands transformed into an enormous sword.
Whoosh!
Susanoo instantly vanished from where it stood.
When it reappeared— it was already directly above Diablo.
The massive sword came crashing down.
Diablo’s pupils contracted slightly.
He had not expected such an enormous giant to possess movements this agile.
BANG!
The gigantic blade of light struck Diablo directly.
His body immediately plummeted toward the ground.
BOOM!
A vast cloud of dust exploded outward in every direction.
…
At the same time, on a high slope some distance away— Momousagi and her Marines were watching everything that had just happened.
“It really is them…” “It really is those guys from the Whitebeard Pirates.” “What kind of Devil Fruit ability is that?
Even watching from this far away without being involved in the battle makes my back feel cold.” “They’re both Devil Fruit users, and judging from this, they’ve developed their abilities to an extremely high level.” “Thinking about it now…
if we’d fought them earlier, these are the monsters we would’ve had to face.” “Whew…
good thing we didn’t start anything with them.” “So this is the Whitebeard Pirates’ newly established 17th Division?” “No wonder they managed to defeat Jack, one of the Beasts Pirates’ top fighters.” “There’s one thing I don’t understand, though.” “Aren’t those two on the same side?” “Why are they fighting?” “Did they have a falling-out, or are they sparring?” “What kind of spar looks like this?!
Every move looks lethal!
Who could possibly handle this?” “Vice Admiral Momousagi, should we stop them?” “The shockwaves from their battle are already reaching the town.” “If this continues, the entire town could be reduced to ruins.” Hearing that, Momousagi frowned.
Stop them?
What kind of joke was that?
She believed she could fight them herself.
But if an actual battle broke out, the Marines behind her would practically be cannon fodder.
More importantly— these two were only division members.
Their Division Commander had not even appeared yet.
And Momousagi knew almost nothing about the strength of their commander.
“What exactly are these people from the Whitebeard Pirates trying to do?” Momousagi’s expression was extremely ugly.
Then something suddenly occurred to her.
“Request reinforcements from headquarters.” “Yes, Vice Admiral Momousagi!” …
Meanwhile, Ren Mori was even more frustrated.
He had been sleeping peacefully at the inn when a violent tremor suddenly struck.
The next thing he knew, he had been buried beneath part of the collapsed roof.
He did not even need to think about it.
This absolutely had something to do with Madara and Diablo.
What annoyed him even more, however, was that while heading toward the center of the battle— he somehow ran into Momousagi and her Marines again.
“I really should’ve checked the almanac before leaving today.” Ren Mori rubbed his forehead as he looked at Momousagi and the others ahead.
The instant they noticed Ren Mori, every Marine immediately entered a state of maximum alert.
What rotten luck.
I was planning to hide nearby and wait for reinforcements.
Then I turn around and immediately run into a dangerous guy.
Momousagi silently complained to herself.
“What a coincidence.” Ren Mori greeted them with a helpless smile.
“I didn’t expect us to meet again so soon.” Momousagi stared fixedly at him.
Her hand was already resting on the hilt of her sword, ready to draw at any moment.
In truth, Momousagi did not want a battle.
She would much rather Ren Mori simply treat them as though they did not exist and leave.
However, when Ren Mori saw her hand resting on her sword, he assumed she was prepared to draw it and attack him at any moment.
“In that case…” Ren Mori spoke calmly.
“Looks like this fight is unavoidable.”
