.
Ramon was an ordinary young man, eighteen years old, with nothing special about his appearance.
Yet to the children living in the orphanage, he was someone irreplaceable.
He had spent his entire life there alongside countless other abandoned children.
To outsiders, the orphanage was simply a shelter.
But to Ramon, it was home.
The thing he loved most was acting like an older brother to the younger kids.
He helped them study, protected them from bullies, and comforted them whenever they cried.
The children adored him and often called him “Big Brother Ramon.”
At that moment, Ramon was walking back toward the orphanage while carrying several heavy grocery bags in both hands.
Beside him walked a ten-year-old orphan named Peter, who struggled to keep up with Ramon’s pace.
Peter looked at the bags with concern before saying softly, “Brother Ramon, are you okay?
Those bags look really heavy.
Let me help you carry some.”
Ramon glanced at him and smiled warmly.
“Don’t worry.
I’m fine,” he replied.
“You should focus on yourself instead.”
Peter let out a helpless sigh.
“You always say that,” the young boy muttered.
“Brother Ramon, you always take care of everyone else and never think about yourself.”
Hearing that, a small chuckle escaped Ramon’s lips.
He lifted his head and looked toward the evening sky.
“As long as I’m alive,” Ramon said quietly, “I’ll always take care of you guys.
You’re my family.”
Peter’s eyes softened.
“You’re family to us too, Brother Ramon.”
The two continued walking peacefully down the street, completely unaware that tragedy was about to strike.
Peter unknowingly stepped off the sidewalk and began crossing the road absentmindedly.
Ramon’s eyes widened instantly.
A speeding truck was rushing directly toward them.
“PETER!!”
Without hesitation, Ramon dropped the groceries onto the ground and sprinted forward.
The truck driver slammed on the brakes, but it was too late.
The vehicle was moving far too fast.
Peter froze in terror.
His legs trembled violently, refusing to move.
At the final second, Ramon reached him.
He shoved Peter away with all his strength.
The next moment—
BOOM!!
The truck crashed directly into Ramon’s body.
Peter rolled across the pavement while Ramon was thrown several meters away like a ragdoll.
The truck screeched to a halt farther down the road.
For a moment, the entire street became silent.
Then chaos erupted.
“Someone call an ambulance!”
“Oh my God!”
Peter quickly stood up and turned around.
The moment he saw Ramon lying in a pool of blood, his face turned pale.
“NO!!
BROTHER RAMON!!”
He ran toward him desperately while tears streamed down his face.
People soon gathered around the accident scene.
Some looked horrified, while others simply watched in fear.
One man hurriedly called the police while another contacted an ambulance.
A woman stepped forward anxiously.
“We need to take him to the hospital right now!”
However, another man immediately shook his head.
“No!
Don’t touch him!
This could become a police case.
We’ll get dragged into trouble.”
The woman stared at him in disbelief.
“A kid is dying, and you’re worried about yourself?!”
The man yelled back defensively.
“If you care so much, then why don’t YOU take him?”
The woman fell silent.
Soon, arguments broke out among the crowd.
But Peter ignored all of them.
He knelt beside Ramon while his small body trembled violently.
Ramon’s breathing had become weak and uneven.
Blood continued flowing from his mouth as his fading eyes slowly turned toward Peter.
“Peter…”
Peter grabbed Ramon’s hand tightly.
“No!
Brother Ramon, stay awake!
Please!”
Ramon gave him one final weak smile.
“Take care… of everyone…”
Those were his final words.
His hand slowly lost strength.
And then—
It fell lifelessly onto the ground.
Peter’s eyes widened.
For several seconds, he couldn’t believe it.
Then a heartbreaking scream echoed across the street.
“NOOOOO!!
BROTHER RAMON!!
PLEASE DON’T LEAVE US!!”
As Ramon slowly closed his eyes, the sounds around him gradually faded away.
The cries.
The screams.
The sirens.
Everything disappeared into silence.
Then…
Darkness.
Endless darkness.
Ramon did not know how much time had passed.
Seconds?
Years?
Or perhaps only a single moment.
Suddenly, a bright light illuminated the darkness around him.
Ramon slowly opened his eyes and found himself floating in an endless white space.
Everywhere he looked, there was nothing but pure white.
No ground.
No sky.
No people.
Only silence.
Ramon looked around nervously.
“Where… am I?”
Before he could think further, a calm voice suddenly echoed throughout the space.
“Hello, Ramon.
It is good to see you.”
Ramon immediately jerked in shock.
He quickly looked around in panic.
“W-Who’s there?!” he asked loudly.
“Who are you?!
Where am I?!”
The mysterious voice chuckled softly.
“Allow me to introduce myself,” the voice said calmly.
“You may call me… God.”
Ramon froze completely.
His eyes widened in disbelief.
“God…?” he muttered.
Then realization struck him.
His expression slowly turned pale.
“Wait… if you’re God… then does that mean…”
He hesitated for a moment before asking quietly,
“Am I dead?”
The voice answered gently.
“Yes, child.
You died protecting another person.”
Ramon fell silent.
For several moments, he simply lowered his head.
Yet instead of panicking about his own death, another thought immediately entered his mind.
“Peter!”
Ramon quickly lifted his head.
“Is Peter okay?!
What about the children at the orphanage?!
Are they all safe?!”
The white space suddenly became quiet.
Then God spoke again, his tone filled with amusement.
“You truly are an interesting child,” he said.
“Most humans, after death, ask questions like: ‘Why did I die?’ ‘Will I go to Heaven or Hell?’ or ‘Will I be reincarnated?'”
God paused briefly before continuing.
“But you…”
“The first thing you asked about was the safety of others.”
Ramon scratched his cheek awkwardly.
“They’re my family,” he replied softly.
God laughed warmly.
“You have a kind soul, Ramon.”
Hearing those words, Ramon smiled faintly before asking once more,
“So… are they okay?”
“Yes,” God replied.
“Although your death deeply hurt everyone at the orphanage, they slowly managed to move forward.”
Ramon quietly listened.
“Especially Peter,” God continued.
“After losing you, he decided to inherit your role as the orphanage’s older brother.”
Ramon’s eyes widened slightly.
“Even when several families tried to adopt him, he refused to leave the orphanage.
He stayed behind to protect the younger children, just as you once did.”
A gentle smile appeared on Ramon’s face.
“After turning eighteen, Peter even became one of the caretakers of the orphanage.”
Hearing that, Ramon closed his eyes and smiled warmly.
“I see…”
Relief filled his heart.
“Thank you, God.”
For a few moments, silence filled the white space again.
Then Ramon finally asked the question he had been avoiding.
“So… what happens now?”
“Am I going to Heaven?
Hell?
Or somewhere else?”
God replied calmly,
“Neither.”
Ramon blinked.
“Huh?”
“I am pleased with the life you lived,” God explained.
“Therefore, I have decided to give you another chance.”
Ramon stared blankly.
“A… another chance?”
“Yes,” God replied.
“I shall reincarnate you into another world.”
Ramon’s eyes widened.
“Reincarnation?!
Like in fantasy novels?!”
God chuckled softly.
“Yes, child.”
“And the world you shall be reincarnated into is…”
“The world of One Piece.”
For several seconds, Ramon’s brain stopped functioning.
Then—
“WHAT?!”
His eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.
“The One Piece world?!” he shouted excitedly.
“The world of pirates, Devil Fruits, and Haki?!”
God laughed at Ramon’s reaction.
“Yes.”
“And not only that…”
“You shall be born as the older brother of Monkey D.
Luffy.”
Ramon froze.
“…What?”
God continued calmly.
“You will become the first biological son of Monkey D.
Dragon.”
“And because of your special bloodline, you shall also inherit Lunarian blood.”
Ramon’s mouth slowly opened.
“A half-Lunarian…?”
“Yes.”
“You will be born eighteen years before Luffy.”
For several moments, Ramon simply stood there silently.
Then suddenly—
“YEAHHHH!!!”
He jumped around excitedly like a child.
“The One Piece world!
I’m becoming Luffy’s older brother?!”
“Oh my God—wait, you ARE God!”
God watched Ramon’s excitement with amusement before letting out a soft laugh.
“You truly are an entertaining child.”
After several minutes of pure excitement, Ramon finally managed to calm himself down.
God looked at him with amusement before speaking once more.
“Now that you’ve calmed down, let’s discuss your wishes.”
Ramon blinked in confusion.
“Wishes?” he repeated.
“I actually get wishes?”
God nodded casually.
“Of course.
You impressed me greatly, child.
Besides, I don’t mind making you overpowered.”
Ramon’s eyes widened slightly.
“Really?”
“Yes,” God replied lazily.
“You get three wishes or perks.
So hurry up and choose.
I’m a God, you know.
I have many universes to manage.”
Ramon immediately straightened his posture.
“Alright!”
He thought carefully for a moment before raising one finger.
“My first wish is to be born with all three types of Haki.”
God nodded thoughtfully.
“You mean possessing natural Conqueror’s Haki like Shanks, Observation Haki talent comparable to Redfield, and Armament Haki potential on the level of legends?”
Ramon immediately nodded.
“Yes!”
“Granted.”
A grin appeared on Ramon’s face.
“Then my second wish is to have the potential to reach the absolute peak of the world.”
God raised an eyebrow.
“In terms of physique, Haki, Devil Fruit mastery, and combat ability,” Ramon continued seriously.
“I want limitless growth potential.”
God smiled slightly.
“A wise wish.”
He folded his arms calmly.
“Many powerful people never reach the true peak because their bodies or spirits have limits.
Even among monsters, only a few can stand at the summit.”
God paused briefly.
“But your wish removes those chains.”
Ramon clenched his fists excitedly.
“Good.”
“Now,” God said, “your third wish.”
Ramon’s eyes lit up instantly.
“I want a Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit.”
God listened silently.
“The Kami Kami no Mi, Model: Destroyer.”
The white space trembled faintly.
“I want powers similar to a God of Destruction,” Ramon continued excitedly.
“Not fully at the level of Beerus, but powerful enough to permanently damage monsters like the Five Elders and the Holy Knights.”
God stared at him silently for a moment.
Then—
“Hm.
Interesting.”
“What form will your transformation take?” God asked.
Ramon answered without hesitation.
“I want my full beast form to resemble Acnologia.”
“And my hybrid form as well.”
God slowly nodded.
“And I also want an awakened transformation.”
“Granted,” God replied.
Ramon became even more excited.
“And add abilities similar to Whitebeard’s quake powers combined with Gildarts’ Crush Magic!”
God rubbed his chin.
“So… destructive vibration powers mixed with absolute crushing force?”
“Exactly!”
“And,” Ramon added quickly, “I also want size manipulation abilities.
I want to increase my size whenever I want.”
God chuckled softly.
“You wish to become a giant dragon god capable of destroying islands?”
Ramon coughed awkwardly.
“…Maybe.”
God laughed.
“Very well.
Granted.”
Ramon immediately bowed respectfully.
“Thank you, God.”
God waved his hand dismissively.
“There is one final gift.”
Ramon looked up curiously.
“You shall receive a special blessing once you reach the age of five.”
Ramon blinked.
“A blessing?”
“Yes,” God replied mysteriously.
“Consider it my personal gift to you.”
Ramon smiled gratefully.
“Thank you.”
God nodded slowly.
“Then go now, child.”
“And enjoy your new life.”
The white space suddenly began spinning violently.
Ramon felt overwhelming dizziness assault his mind.
His consciousness slowly faded away.
And then—
Darkness.
…
Moments later, Ramon slowly opened his eyes again.
The first thing he noticed was warmth.
The second thing he noticed was the giant woman holding him gently in her arms.
She was incredibly tall, nearly two and a half meters in height, with dark skin, long white hair, and black wings extending from her back.
Ramon’s eyes widened.
‘A Lunarian…’
The woman looked down at him lovingly despite the pain visible on her face.
“Hello, Ramon,” she whispered weakly.
“I am your mother.”
Ramon immediately noticed something was wrong.
Her breathing was uneven.
Blood stained the sheets beneath her body.
She was dying.
“I’m sorry…” she said softly.
“I won’t be able to stay with you for very long.”
Ramon’s heart shook violently.
No…
Not again.
His tiny infant body trembled weakly.
The woman smiled sadly.
“I wish I could watch you grow.”
Tears slowly formed in her eyes.
“But fate has other plans for me.”
She slowly turned her head toward someone standing nearby.
“Dragon…”
A tall man stepped forward.
Monkey D.
Dragon silently looked at both mother and child with a painful expression.
“Take care of him,” she whispered.
Dragon nodded heavily.
“I will.”
The woman looked back at Ramon lovingly.
“Listen to your grandfather,” she said softly.
“He may be a marine… but he is a good man.”
She gently kissed Ramon on the forehead.
“Live freely, my child.”
“Live the way you want.”
Then—
Her hand slowly fell lifelessly to the bed.
Silence filled the room.
Dragon closed his eyes tightly while grief flashed across his face.
For a moment, he looked like a completely broken man.
Then the door suddenly burst open.
A man rushed inside hurriedly.
“Sir!” he shouted urgently.
“CP0 is approaching!
They’ll reach this island at any moment!”
Dragon immediately regained his composure.
“Prepare the ship,” he ordered coldly.
“And contact my father immediately.”
Then he looked down at the crying infant in his arms.
Ramon cried endlessly.
Not because he was afraid.
But because, even in this new life…
He had lost his mother the moment he was born.
