— year 1485 —

One year had passed since the infamous God Valley Incident.

At this point in time, Monkey D.

Dragon was only eighteen years old.

He was talented, yes.

But far from the terrifying figure who would one day shake the entire world as the leader of the Revolutionary Army.

Right now, the World Government did not consider him a major threat.

Because of that, they had only dispatched weaker CP agents to hunt him down after the events involving the Lunarian woman he had rescued during God Valley.

Fortunately, Dragon managed to escape their pursuit.

…

The next morning.

A Marine battleship sailed calmly across the sea.

At the front of the ship was a massive dog-faced figurehead.

Standing near the bow of the ship was a tall, muscular man with crossed arms as he silently stared toward the horizon.

The man was none other than—

Monkey D.

Garp.

Beside him stood his trusted right-hand man, Bogard.

Bogard adjusted his hat slightly before speaking.

“Vice Admiral Garp, we’ve reached the destination.”

Garp remained silent for a moment before replying,

“We wait.”

“He said he’d come here.”

Bogard nodded calmly.

Within the Marines, Bogard was one of the very few people Garp genuinely trusted.

Minutes passed quietly.

Suddenly—

Garp’s eyes narrowed.

Using his Observation Haki, he sensed a familiar presence several kilometers away.

“He’s here.”

Bogard looked toward the distant island.

“Should I accompany you?”

Garp shook his head.

“No.”

“I’ll go alone.”

The next moment—

BOOM!

The wooden deck beneath Garp cracked slightly as he leaped high into the air.

Then—

Geppo.

Moon Walk.

By kicking the air repeatedly, Garp shot through the sky like a cannonball toward the distant island.

Only seconds later, he landed heavily on the shore.

Standing there was Dragon.

And in his arms…

Was a small infant wrapped carefully in cloth.

Dragon looked toward Garp calmly.

“Father,” he said quietly.

“It’s good to see you.”

Garp walked toward him without saying a word.

Then suddenly—

BAM!!

A fist slammed directly into Dragon’s head.

Dragon’s body bent slightly from the impact, but he did not fall.

Garp clearly held back due to the baby in Dragon’s arms.

“You idiot!” Garp roared angrily.

“First you abandon the Marines, and now THIS?!”

His eyes moved toward the child.

“…Is that your son?”

Dragon slowly nodded.

“Yes.”

A rare softness appeared in Dragon’s eyes as he looked at the infant.

“His name is Ramon.”

“He’s my son… and Amelia’s child.”

Garp’s eyes widened slightly.

“…Amelia?”

“You mean the Lunarian woman you saved during God Valley?”

Dragon nodded silently.

“Yes.”

For a moment, Garp fell quiet.

Then he asked,

“…Is she alright?”

Dragon’s expression darkened.

“She died after giving birth to him.”

Silence.

Only the sound of waves crashing against the shore remained.

Garp sighed heavily before scratching his head.

“So,” he muttered, “what exactly do you want me to do?”

Dragon looked directly at him.

“I want you to raise him.”

Before Dragon could continue—

BAM!!

Another fist landed on his head.

“You damn fool!” Garp shouted.

“Do you think I’m some kind of babysitter?!”

Dragon rubbed his head painfully before replying seriously,

“Father… I can’t take him with me.”

“CP0 and Cipher Pol are already hunting me.”

“If they discover Ramon…”

Dragon’s fists clenched tightly.

“…they’ll never let him live.”

Garp’s expression slowly became serious.

A half-Lunarian.

And a member of the D.

Clan.

The World Government would absolutely see the child as a threat.

After several moments of silence, Garp finally sighed deeply.

“…Fine.”

“I’ll take care of him.”

Dragon visibly relaxed slightly.

“But,” Garp added while glaring at him, “you better stay alive.”

Dragon smiled faintly.

“I’ll try.”

Slowly, Garp reached forward and carefully took baby Ramon into his arms.

The moment he looked down at the child, his stern face softened slightly.

“Well then,” Garp muttered.

“I’m your grandpa.”

“Don’t worry.

I’ll raise you into a fine Marine!”

Hearing that, Dragon immediately frowned.

“Father… I don’t think becoming a Marine is good for him.”

Garp instantly exploded.

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!”

“Just because you became some revolutionary brat doesn’t mean my grandson can’t become a Marine!”

Dragon sighed helplessly.

“That’s not what I mean.”

He looked at Ramon seriously.

“He’s my son.”

“And he’s half-Lunarian.”

“If the World Government or the Navy discovers that…”

Dragon didn’t finish his sentence.

He didn’t need to.

Garp understood perfectly.

After a long silence, Garp finally sighed.

“…Fine.”

“If he doesn’t want to become a Marine, I won’t force him.”

Then he grinned proudly.

“But I’ll still try to recruit him.”

Dragon chuckled softly.

“As long as you don’t force him, that’s enough.”

For a few moments, father and son stood there silently.

Then Garp finally turned away.

“I should head back.”

“The Marines will notice I’m gone soon.”

“Bogard can cover for me, but not forever.”

Dragon nodded slowly.

“…Take care, Father.”

Without wasting another second, Garp kicked the air repeatedly and launched himself back toward the Marine ship.

Dragon silently watched his father disappear into the distance.

Then he looked toward the sky and muttered softly,

“Live freely, Ramon.”

“Become whatever you want.”

“No matter what path you choose…”

“I’ll support you.”

After watching his father disappear into the distance, Monkey D.

Dragon silently stood on the island for several moments.

The wind blew through his hair as he stared toward the sea.

Although his expression remained calm, sadness could still be seen hidden deep within his eyes.

Slowly, Dragon turned around and began walking away.

Meanwhile—

Monkey D.

Garp finally returned to the Marine ship.

BOOM!

He landed heavily on the deck, causing several nearby Marines to jump in surprise.

At the front of the ship, Bogard immediately approached him.

However, the moment Bogard noticed the small child wrapped in cloth inside Garp’s massive arms, his eyes narrowed slightly.

“Vice Admiral Garp…” Bogard said calmly.

“Who is this child?”

Garp glanced at him before replying quietly,

“My grandson.”

Bogard’s eyes widened slightly.

“Dragon’s son?”

Garp nodded.

“Yes.”

Then his expression became serious.

“Bogard, take the kid inside immediately.”

“Make sure nobody notices him.”

Bogard instantly understood that something was wrong.

Without asking unnecessary questions, he carefully took the child from Garp’s arms.

“…Understood.”

Garp crossed his arms and looked toward the sea with a dark expression.

If the child had only been Dragon’s son, Garp could have protected him without much difficulty.

But Ramon was different.

He carried Lunarian blood.

And if the World Government discovered that a Lunarian child connected to the Monkey D.

family still existed…

They would never stop hunting him.

Garp clicked his tongue in annoyance.

“Tch.”

“What a damn troublesome family of mine.”

Meanwhile, Bogard silently carried baby Ramon below deck without attracting attention from the surrounding Marines.

Since this is only one year after the God Valley Incident, Monkey D.

Garp is still in his prime, not like the older Garp from the main timeline.

Several days later, the Marine ship finally arrived in the East Blue.

Its destination—

Foosha Village.

A peaceful village surrounded by forests and sea cliffs.

At this point in time, the village was still quiet and ordinary.

The future Pirate King’s era had not yet begun.

As the massive Marine battleship slowly docked near the harbor, several villagers looked toward it curiously.

Standing at the front of the ship was a tall and muscular young man wearing a Marine coat over his shoulders.

The man was none other than Monkey D.

Garp.

Unlike the older version people would know in the future, the current Garp was still in the absolute prime of his youth.

Full of energy.

Loud.

Wild.

And terrifyingly powerful.

“HAHAHA!!

Finally back home!” Garp laughed loudly.

The Marines behind him sighed helplessly after hearing his thunderous voice.

“Vice Admiral Garp,” one Marine said nervously, “please stop shouting…”

“HAHAHA!

Shut up!” Garp replied while picking his nose casually.

Hidden carefully beneath his large Marine coat was a small infant wrapped in cloth.

Baby Ramon quietly rested in Garp’s arms without making a sound.

Honestly, Garp felt surprised.

During the entire journey, Ramon had barely cried even once.

For someone like Garp, who had absolutely no experience raising children, this was a blessing.

“At least you’re quieter than Dragon was,” Garp muttered.

Ramon simply blinked calmly at him.

After landing on the harbor, Garp stretched his arms lazily before shouting toward the Marines behind him.

“Alright, unload the supplies yourselves!

I’m going to meet the village chief!”

“Yes, Vice Admiral Garp!”

Without wasting time, Garp quickly walked into the village while making sure nobody noticed the child hidden beneath his coat.

Even though he trusted his subordinates, Garp still didn’t want to take unnecessary risks.

After all…

Ramon was not just Dragon’s son.

He was also a half-Lunarian.

If news of his existence ever reached the World Government, trouble would immediately follow.

A few villagers greeted Garp cheerfully as he walked through the streets.

“Garp came back!”

“Hahaha!

Looks like the Marines finally returned!”

Garp waved casually before eventually stopping in front of a familiar house.

The home of the village chief, Woop Slap.

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

Garp loudly knocked on the door.

“Oi!

Open up!”

“I brought a troublesome kid again!”

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

The loud knocking echoed throughout the small house.

A few seconds later, the door suddenly swung open.

“What is it now, Garp?!” an annoyed voice shouted from inside.

“You just arrived and you’re already trying to destroy my door!”

The man standing there was none other than Woop Slap, the village chief of Foosha Village.

Monkey D.

Garp laughed loudly.

“BWAHAHAHA!

Sorry about that!”

Without waiting for permission, Garp casually walked inside the house while carefully hiding baby Ramon beneath his coat.

Then he quickly shut the door behind him.

Woop Slap immediately frowned.

“…Garp?”

His expression slowly became serious.

“Why are you closing the door?”

“Is something wrong?”

Garp took a deep breath before speaking.

“Woop Slap… I need your help.”

The village chief blinked in surprise.

“My help?”

Garp nodded.

“I need you to help me raise my grandson.”

The moment those words entered his ears—

PFFFFT!!

Woop Slap instantly spat out the water he had just been drinking.

He coughed violently before staring at Garp with wide eyes.

“YOUR WHAT?!”

“My grandson,” Garp repeated casually.

Then he slowly pulled the infant out from beneath his coat and showed him to Woop Slap.

The baby quietly blinked back at the old man.

“His name is Monkey D.

Ramon,” Garp said proudly.

“Dragon’s son.”

Woop Slap stared blankly at the child for several moments.

“…Dragon has a son?”

“Yep.”

“And you’re telling me this so casually?!”

Garp scratched his cheek while laughing loudly.

“BWAHAHAHA!

Well, things happened!”

Woop Slap took a deep breath to calm himself down.

Then he looked carefully at baby Ramon again.

“…So why bring him to me?”

Garp’s expression slowly became more serious.

“His situation is complicated.”

Woop Slap immediately understood there was more to the story than Garp was saying.

After all, Garp would never hide something unless it involved dangerous matters connected to the World Government.

“You want me to help raise him?” Woop Slap asked slowly.

Garp nodded.

“You’re one of the few people I trust.”

Woop Slap sighed helplessly.

“You know I’m an old man, right?”

“And besides…” he continued while rubbing his forehead, “raising a child costs money.”

Garp instantly burst into laughter.

“BWAHAHAHA!

Don’t worry about that!”

“Just let the brat eat whatever he wants!”

“I’ll pay for everything later!”

Woop Slap stared at him silently for several seconds.

“…You better.”

Meanwhile, baby Ramon silently observed the entire conversation from Garp’s arms.

‘Well… this is interesting,’ Ramon thought inwardly.

Just as he was thinking—

A familiar voice suddenly echoed inside his head.

“Hello, child.”

Ramon’s eyes widened slightly.

‘God?’

The voice chuckled softly.

“I forgot to inform you about your current situation.”

“And also…”

“Your special gift will arrive earlier than expected.”

Ramon became curious immediately.

‘Earlier?’

“Yes,” God replied.

“Originally, you were supposed to receive it at the age of five.”

“But considering your situation, I decided to move it forward.”

“You will receive it at the age of three instead.”

Ramon mentally blinked in surprise.

‘That soon?’

“I hope you enjoy it.”

And just like that, the voice disappeared.

Ramon remained silent for several moments.

‘Looks like this life is going to become very interesting…’

Wanting to say something, Ramon tried opening his mouth.

However—

“Baah… gaaah… buh…”

Only incomprehensible baby noises came out.

Ramon immediately froze.

Then internally screamed in embarrassment.

After all…

He was still only a few days old.

A few days later, Monkey D.

Garp was forced to leave Foosha Village and return to Marine Headquarters.

The situation in the world had become increasingly chaotic after the fall of the Rocks Pirates during the God Valley Incident.

Although the crew had disbanded, its former members had begun causing massive disturbances throughout the New World.

Shiki was rapidly expanding his influence.

Edward Newgate had started gathering powerful allies under his banner.

Kaido was becoming increasingly violent and dangerous.

And Charlotte Linlin continued building her terrifying empire in Totto Land.

The New World had become increasingly unstable.

As one of the strongest Marines, Garp could not remain in East Blue for long.

…

Near the harbor of Foosha Village, a Marine battleship was already prepared to depart.

Villagers had gathered near the docks to say goodbye.

Standing near the shore, Garp held baby Ramon carefully in his arms.

The infant quietly stared at the massive Marine vice admiral.

“BWAHAHAHAHA!!” Garp laughed loudly while poking Ramon’s cheek.

“Don’t grow up into a troublesome brat like your father!”

Ramon internally sighed.

‘That’s probably impossible.’

Nearby, Woop Slap crossed his arms helplessly.

“You’re leaving already?”

“BWAHAHAHA!

Of course!” Garp replied proudly.

“The New World is becoming a complete mess!”

“Those Rocks monsters are causing trouble everywhere.”

Woop Slap shook his head.

“Try not to destroy half the ocean while you’re at it.”

“BWAHAHAHA!

No promises!”

The villagers could only sigh helplessly after hearing Garp’s ridiculous laughter echo throughout the harbor.

Then, slowly, Garp looked back down at Ramon.

For a brief moment, his expression softened slightly.

“Grow strong, brat,” he said quietly.

“You’re a member of the Monkey family after all.”

After carefully handing Ramon back to Woop Slap, Garp turned around and walked toward the Marine ship.

“Take care, Vice Admiral Garp!”

“Come back safely!”

“Don’t punch too many pirates!”

“BWAHAHAHA!!

I’ll punch ALL of them!!”

The Marines aboard the ship immediately groaned in embarrassment.

Soon, the battleship slowly departed from the harbor and sailed toward the horizon.

Ramon quietly watched the ship disappear into the distance.

Although he was still only a baby…

He already understood something very clearly.

This world…

Was entering the era of monsters.
