The lightning gradually subsided, and Doctor Octopus and Tombstone recovered from their daze.

The paralysis from the full-body electroshock had not yet faded when a green shadow whipped past the corner of their eyes with a whoosh.

Behind them, a familiar figure with mechanical legs was thrown flying, landing deep within the Brooklyn subway station below, his fate unknown.Full novel: One Punch Man: A Stand User of The Multiverse — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Tombstone struggled to raise his hands to protect his head and face, adopting a defensive boxing stance as he involuntarily swallowed hard.

Doctor Octopus, also an enhanced individual, had taken a heavy hit from the electricity; the mechanical tentacles on her back twitched as if still coursing with current.

The two exchanged a glance: What just happened?

“One down,” Kenji cracked his neck.

“Two to go.” “Darling, you really exceed my expectations…” Doctor Octopus flexed her hands, and the arthropod-like tentacles behind her thrust forward violently.

Bang, bang, bang!

Coordinating with her sudden attack, Tombstone professionally drew his handgun and fired rapidly at Kenji.

“Whoa, that is not very friendly.” Suspended in mid-air, Kenji took his time.

He extended a hand, spreading his five fingers, and his A.T.

Field expanded accordingly.

The bullets began to decelerate drastically as they approached Kenji, their kinetic energy absorbed by the forcefield until they hung suspended in the air.

Doctor Octopus’s tentacles packed much more power, but they only managed to slightly dent the forcefield, achieving nothing more.

Their expressions froze, and they looked at each other in dismay.

They couldn’t break his defense?

How were they supposed to fight this!

Seeing the situation turning sour, Doctor Octopus remained calm in the face of danger.

She raised her arms and shouted, “What are you staring at?

Start the collider immediately!

And then…

kill that Spider-Man!” In the control room, the researchers, who had been happily watching the drama unfold, snapped back to reality.

They operated the preheated collider, which shot out two blinding streams of high-energy particles.

Then, they drew their high-energy weapons and fired frantically at Kenji.

For a moment, colorful beams of energy flew everywhere.

Kenji was treated as target practice and took a beating.

Realizing that the AT Field was reaching its limit, he didn’t dare act arrogant and began dodging back and forth in the air.

The AT Field was strong enough, but it wasn’t without its limits.

The black-tech weapons wielded by Kingpin’s researchers were quite powerful; seeing them made Kenji want to grab a couple to take back home.

But not now.

Wherever he flew, a massive barrage of energy attacks followed close behind.

On the other side, Gwen was taking the giant Green Goblin for a spin, but she was completely overwhelmed by his practically zero-cooldown fireballs.

She was in constant peril; if it weren’t for her reliable Spider-Sense, the white Ghost-Spider would have instantly become a charred, blackened roasted spider.

“Hey!

Guys, are we late?” Miles’s voice echoed from the ceiling.

Everyone present, regardless of their faction, looked up.

They saw figures clad in Spider-suits hanging upside down or crawling across the smooth ceiling, cracking their knuckles and eager to fight.

Crack.

In the control room, Kingpin crushed the ballpoint pen in his hand.

Hiss— Down on the ground, Tombstone drew a sharp breath, his scalp tingling with dread!

“One, two, three, four, five, six…

plus the two from before, that makes a total of eight Spider-Men?” Doctor Octopus pointed her finger, a sickly fanaticism swirling in her eyes.

“This is simply…

wonderful!” Kenji flashed the newcomers an internationally recognized friendly gesture with his middle finger.

As he dodged attacks, he yelled in annoyance, “Hey, get down here and help!” “Roger that!” “Spider-Men, attack!” Rapid figures joined the fray, and the tide of battle instantly turned!

Every enhanced villain found themselves dealing with two or more Spider-Men.

The Parkers from different dimensions couldn’t help but sigh with emotion.

Ever since their debut, they had always been the ones getting ganged up on.

This was the first time they were fighting with such a massive numbers advantage!

“Enough!” Peter-616 had just punched the Green Goblin flying when he heard an angry roar from above.

With a loud crash, a shower of glass shards rained down, accompanied by a massive dark figure dropping from the sky.

“Hey, brother,” Peter-616 caught Kingpin’s plunging fist with an agility that completely contradicted his dad-bod, “you are overweight!” “Damn it!

Why do you people always, ALWAYS stop me at the most critical moment!” Tearing away his usual facade of cold indifference, Kingpin’s facial muscles twisted into a ferocious scowl as he furiously rained down a barrage of punches.

Caught off guard for a second, Peter-616 took a vicious hit to the face.

Just as he tried to counterattack, Kingpin used his brute strength to flip him over and hurl him away!

Spider-Man’s strength was far beyond an ordinary human’s, but his body weight was not.

Thwip— Peter-616 swung on his web and landed atop the collider, cracking his neck.

“Why don’t you reflect on why we came here to stop you instead of stopping someone else?” “Hey, you are making my head spin,” Miles dropped down from the sky, stopping Peter-616 from lunging back into the fight.

“Let me handle him.

This is my job.” Peter-616 pointed at the glaring Kingpin.

“That big guy?

Are you sure?” “Absolutely.” Peter-616 said no more.

The two Spider-Men bumped fists and jumped off the collider in opposite directions.

“It is time to end this farce!” By now, the continuously running particle collider had begun to affect the surrounding space-time.

The closer one got to the energy core, the more apparent the spatial distortions became.

It was like a ticking time bomb, feeling as though it could detonate and destroy New York, or even the entire universe, at any moment!

The good news was that the current situation was completely out of Kingpin’s control.

The trigger-happy researchers were being hogtied one by one by Spider-Man Noir.

The furious Kingpin was gradually being suppressed by Miles, who had activated his bio-electric superpowers.

Green Goblin, Tombstone, and Doctor Octopus were getting thoroughly ganged up on.

Free from combat, Gwen climbed up to the ceiling with the override USB drive, fighting to seize control of the collider.

The tide of battle was visibly tipping in favor of the Spider-Men.

Kenji’s role shifted from a main attacker to a slacker.

He threw a punch here and a kick there, and after helping the Spider-Men stabilize the situation…

He slipped away on the spot.

His target was the weapons armory on the bottom floor of the building.

The alloy vault door, which was on par with the US Central Bank, was a bit tricky, but it couldn’t stop Kenji.

Releasing his telekinesis, he located a weak point in the wall.

Immediately, two massive balls of fire materialized in his hands.

The rarity wasn’t high, but it was unexpectedly practical.

Boom!

Bombarded continuously by the green-tinged fire bombs, the thick concrete wall might as well have been an Oreo cookie.

In the blink of an eye, a hole twice the height of a person was blasted open.

Stepping through the flaming hole, he found rows of different energy weapons displayed in the armory.

A portion had already been taken by the researchers outside, but what remained was enough to arm an entire company of soldiers.

Azure telekinetic energy began to spread, wrapping around all the display racks on the floor.

By the time Kenji left through the hole he had created, the room behind him was completely empty, cleaner than a licked plate.

[Fantasy Card: Private Armory] [Card Type: Item Card] [Rarity: R] [Description: A black-tech arsenal secretly developed by Doctor Octopus and Kingpin.] [Effect 1: Energy Weapons] [Mass-produced energy weapons of various models.

Starting a small war with these would be no problem.] Having finished his looting, Kenji returned to the underground chamber, thoroughly satisfied.

The collider was still spewing massive streams of particles, but seeing the villains tied up in a neat little ball of webbing below, and the young Black Spider-Man Miles standing victoriously in front of them with his hands on his hips, it was clear that the control of the giant machine had successfully changed hands.

“Where did you go?” A beautiful white figure landed silently behind him.

Gwen pulled off her mask, revealing her brilliant blonde hair and an inquiring gaze.

“Taking care of some personal business,” Kenji also retracted his faceplate.

“Is the battle over?” “Thanks to you,” Gwen pointed to the group gathered on the ceiling directly above the energy core.

“Let’s go.

Everyone is waiting for you.” “OK, need a lift?” “Hey, I haven’t agreed yet!” The two shot up into the air.

Seeing this, Miles swung his web and followed closely behind.

Miles bumped fists with everyone one by one to pay his respects.

“Everyone, it is time for you to go home.” “Yeah, it is time to go home.” Peni Parker stepped out of her mech, her tone carrying a mix of joy and a hint of sadness.

Hearing the usually cheerful girl say this, the surrounding air instantly carried a touch of parting sorrow.

Peter Porker nimbly climbed onto Spider-Man Noir’s shoulder.

“Don’t be like that, we will all miss you!” “Yes, we are friends now.” “Exactly.” Everyone nodded in agreement.

Recalling the heavily promoted Spider-Verse sequel from before he crossed over, Kenji couldn’t help but joke, “Who knows, maybe there will be a chance to meet again?” “Please no, I do not want to come over and save the world again!” “That is way too exhausting!” “For real!” x7 Kenji: “…” After joking around for a bit, Miles operated the particle collider and opened the space-time portal.

“I will be taking off first, everyone.” “See you around if fate permits!” The Spider-Men from different universes used their most familiar high-altitude diving poses, jumping one by one into the space-time portal formed by the energy torrents, and vanished.

“My turn,” Gwen nudged the dazed Kenji with her elbow.

She waved at a reluctant-looking Miles, a smile on her lips.

“I am going to miss you guys.” “Me too…” “Ah, see you later.” Their reactions were polar opposites.

Gwen shrugged helplessly, hesitating no longer.

She released her grip on the ceiling, spun around, and let gravity pull her into a freefall until she plunged into the colorful particle stream and disappeared.

Kenji snapped back to reality.

He was agonizing over a very serious question— How was he supposed to get back?

Just jump into the space-time portal like everyone else?
