His bright amber eyes met mine and ffo a moment, it seemed as if the whole world melted away and I found myself unable unable to look away.

Then they narrowed and flicked away, breaking the moment without a care in the world and I scoffed internally.

Yeah, yeah, priorities.

Also, if you can recall..you made him the most simplest of all the five males.

So getting close to him should be more easier for you Now, that’s useful information.

If you didn’t remind me, I would have forgotten all about my characters.

But with the wolves and beasts being able to speak, are you sure his character description haven’t changed?

Valid question, let’s check and see then I’ll go check with the main system Fair enough.

“Lyrielle, come here.” A voice snapped me out of my thoughts and I opened my eyes fo find father smiling warmly at me.

I returned the smile and quickly stood up to go meet with him.

When I got to his side, he bent down to retrieve somethings bundled up at his feet for me.

“I heard what happened at the riverside, good job.” He whispered conspiratorially as he passed the five bundles to me and my eyes widened slightly before my lips tipped up into a bright smile.

“Thanks father,” he smiled and patted my head which I responded a bit embarrassing to….like a cat would.

He laughed as he continued before the sound of throat clearing fille my ears and I snapped open my eyes only to find numerous eyes staring at our exchange with different emotions on their faces.

Some showed horror, others shock and the others…I couldn’t even describe them if I tried.

I felt my cheeks flush at the attention and swiftly turned to escape the stares only for a hand to shoot out and grab mine.

Instinctively, I turned around and twisted the arm but before I could fully break it up, alarm bells filled my head.

Stop!!!!

She’s the female protagonist!!!

Stop!!!!

Quickly, I stopped and finally looked at the person I was holding.

If you don’t stop now, we’ll be preparing for a regeneration sequence for you!

What?

I jumped away from her like she was some sort of life threatening item I just couldn’t get close to and she was.

What do you mean by that?

Think of it, every novel has that female protagonist favored by the heavens which is…you, the author.

And in every novel, these female protagonists are automatically blessed with what we call Halo and are protected by the heavens from harm.

If you harm her, you will suffer the consequences that you as the author set Huh?

What sort of cheat code is this?

Right?

A percentage of you authors always act as if if you’re thrown here…into your own book, you will survive it.

Look, I had no clue whatsoever about this tid bit of information, if I did then there would be no female protagonists in any of my books!

Oh please, do you want me to mention a few for you that you’ve written and read that spoke of this?

Um…you didn’t have to be such a blowtorch.

Blowtorch?

Party pooper….whatever.

“You vile female, how dare you lay a hand on our Luna?!!” A sharp voice filled the air just before the sound of a slap landed on my face and I returned back to reality.

What the actual hell?

I raised my head back up to find the culprit only to find an elderly female glaring down at me and instantly memories filled my head.

“Matriarch?” I asked, my hands turning into fists at my sides as she glared down hatefully at me.

This was the original owner’s mother.

The matriarch has always haboured a unique hatred for the original owner of this body, she never wanted anything good to go to the original owner, beat her up anytime she saw her or cursed at her but treated the female protagonist with so much care…like a porcelain doll.

This was one of the reasons why the original owner was that evil, she hated how the female protagonist was treated.

You could say, while Luna was treated with love, gentleness and care…lyrielle got the bad end of that stick.

And her looks were not even helping at all…neither was her mean character.

“What, you want to fight me?

I should pluck out those eyes sof your if you cannot make use of it ag—” My hand moved without a second thought and backhanded her hard across the face, sending her sprawling to the ground.

“Lyrielle!!” Father’s voice filled my ears and I glanced up at him before stepping back.

“Don’t…don’t you ever..lay a hand on me again.” I mumbled to the stunned female before I tightened my grip on the bundles in my arms and began to walk away.

The crowd of onlookers parted as I walked by and it was at that moment that my stomach knew it would embarrass itself…not me.

It growled loudly twice in hunger and I stiffened..oh crap.

I quickened my pace, practically rushing back to my cave but I didn’t go too far before a voice filled my ears.

Host, Elias cave is up ahead this small cliff.

Of you transform into your cat, you can sneak into his place and help heal his younger brother who’s sick.

Younger brother?

Sick?

Oh yes, he had this younger brother of his that had always been sick.

The tribe healer and shaman has done all they could but couldn’t heal him and the child had refused to step out at all because males were always seen as too weak if they weren’t at all strong and females hated them too.

He was also a lion and they had this blizzard pride about them that I didn’t even understand most times.

He was just about twelve I think?

Yes, he’s down with a very high fever now and due to it accumulating overtime in his system, he has been bedridden for days now.

You could try healing him with your abilities.

Will that even work?

I’ve not even checked to see if I have this earth ability you said you gave to me.

It’s there, this system would never lie to it’s host Yeah, yeah.

Let’s go try it out, who knows…it might reduce some hate points for me.

Hopefully Big problem, how do I transform into the cat?

Didn’t you write the book?

I…did…n’t…?

Don’t play coy with me, host.

Just imagine it and whoops!!

Abracadabra!!

Really?

What do you think this is?

Harry Potter?

No, it’s not.

It was a rhetorical question.

Yep, I’m aware of that host!

Shaking my head helplessly, I tried what the system had suggest and imagined a cat in my mind and then peaked open one of my eyes to be see but unfortunately, I was still human.

Let’s try again.

Cheer on, host!

I visualized the cat more better this time and slowly opened my eyes to find myself staring face to face at the ground.

I raised a hand only to find a tiny paw full of fur staring back at me.

What the… Host, hahahahahaha you look so funny.

Hahahahaha you’re so all, hahahaha.

What’s so funny?

You…you…you look like a ball made with fur!!

What?

Yeah y— Oh cut it out, let’s go get this over and done with.

That shut the system up instantly and I began the daunting task of hauling my overweight cat form up the small hill that led to Elias’s cave.

When I finally made it, I collapsed at the edge of the cave in exhaustion.

My tongue wa hanging out as I rushed inside after resting for a few seconds and there, lying on the bed all sweaty was Elias brother, Aziel.

I quickly transformed back to my human form, grateful that I was still clothed then stepped up to his side and touched his forehead.

I yelped at how hot he was but quickly slammedy mouth shut to avoid waking him or attracting potential trouble.

Alright, here goes our amateur healing session.

Do your best to survive.

I forgot to tell you, the points will also decide how long you live too.

Wait, what?

What do you mean by that?

Silence System?

Silence.

Don’t play this game with me and tell me what you meant by that!

Silence.

Fine.

I laid my hands on his forehead and on his chest as I reached into myself in search of the earth ability.

Well, that ass as vague as I could go because I had no clue what I was doing.

Earth ability, come forth!

Nothing happened at first and I almost deflated when a warm feeling rushed through my system and put my hands.

It washed all over the boy, clothing him in a greenish blanket and if I wasn’t making use of the two of my hands, I would have clapped for joy.

It felt so magical.

My limbs grew heavier the longer I continued and I found myself unable to keep my eyes open after a while…even the blanket had thinned and was fading away.

You should stop before you pass out.

He should be healed plenty now.

I nodded, quickly pulling back and almost collapsing to the ground but held myself and quickly transformed into the cat and staggered away like I was a drunk puss in boots.

That’s oddly fitting Shut up
