The next day.
Yu Huan actually woke up early for once.
Zhu Heqing had already packed her luggage, so there was nothing for her to do.
Calling it luggage was a bit of a stretch. It was just some of the things Yu Huan was used to having around. Her family had everything she needed, and in the end, she hadn’t even filled a small suitcase.
Zhu Heqing had just returned from the gym.
Wearing summer workout clothes, he looked no different from a college student.
He wiped the sweat from his face. His loose sleeveless shirt shifted with the movement, faintly revealing his chest.
Yu Huan happened to look up and caught sight of his well-defined but not overly bulky chest muscles.
Although they were boyfriend and girlfriend and already living together, they had never gone beyond kissing.
Yu Huan didn’t have any particular aversion to physical intimacy between couples.
In fact, after officially getting together with Zhu Heqing, she had secretly looked forward to taking things further.
She really wanted to know whether it felt as amazing as the novels described, so addictive that you couldn’t get enough.
Unfortunately, Zhu Heqing had never touched her.
Sometimes, when things almost got out of hand between them, he would endure it, calm her down first, and then go take a cold shower by himself.
At one point, Yu Huan even suspected that Zhu Heqing might have some kind of problem.
So she searched online.
They said that looking up medical symptoms online always started with cancer.
When Yu Huan searched, one of the answers claimed, “Once a man turns twenty-five, he loses his right to be a man.”
Yu Huan had never been a man, so she had no idea whether that was true. But since someone had actually written it as an answer, there had to be some basis for it, right?
Having a boyfriend who looked good but apparently wasn’t useful didn’t exactly put Yu Huan in a good mood.
The next time they finished kissing and Zhu Heqing once again went into the bathroom to cool himself down, Yu Huan touched her swollen lips and kindly suggested,
“Brother, if you really can’t do it, maybe you should see a doctor.”
Zhu Heqing hadn’t understood at first.
But once he realized what she meant, he was so exasperated that he actually laughed.
He didn’t even go to the bathroom anymore. Instead, he pulled her into his arms.
His voice was slightly hoarse.
“Baby, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with my body. You’re still too young. I don’t want you to regret anything later.”
Feeling the substantial bulge against her back, Yu Huan immediately stopped teasing him.
Up until now, the only physical intimacy they had shared was kissing, but Yu Huan had already seen Zhu Heqing’s body countless times.
Zhu Heqing had originally had a fairly muscular build from working out.
Yu Huan didn’t like that.
She was young and preferred lean muscle, especially that pale, cool-toned, lightly muscled look.
So Zhu Heqing had adjusted his diet and training according to her preferences, cutting down his body fat and changing the way he worked out.
Between final exams, traveling, and then being sick for several days, Yu Huan hadn’t had much of a chance to see the results of his training.
Now that she suddenly saw him again, her little mischievous streak was completely awakened.
Thinking about how she wouldn’t be able to see Zhu Heqing for nearly a month, Yu Huan couldn’t resist.
She crooked her finger at him and called sweetly,
“Zhu Heqing, come here.”
Zhu Heqing draped the towel around his neck and obediently walked over.
His skin was naturally very pale, and even a little exercise made a noticeable flush appear across it.
He looked extremely tempting.
Yu Huan reached out and took his dangling hand, giving it a gentle tug.
Zhu Heqing immediately bent down obediently.
The distance between them closed.
Yu Huan sniffed him, wrinkled her nose, and complained shamelessly,
“You stink.”
She had just had some water, leaving her lips plump and moist.
Zhu Heqing’s eyes unconsciously lingered on her lips, and his Adam’s apple bobbed slightly.
“Mm. I’ll take a shower right now.”
“No. I want to inspect your workout results first.”
Yu Huan slid her hand up his arm and slipped it beneath his shirt.
The coolness of her fingers against his warm chest made his body tense instinctively, and his breathing quickened slightly, becoming uneven.
His abdominal muscles were clearly defined.
Zhu Heqing wasn’t someone who sweated heavily, so there was only a faint layer of perspiration on his skin. It didn’t affect how good he felt to the touch at all.
Zhu Heqing let Yu Huan’s hand wander beneath his shirt.
Once she was satisfied, he asked in a slightly husky voice,
“Baby, are you satisfied?”
Yu Huan wiped her hand on his shirt and flashed a little fang.
“Barely. While I’m away, you have to work out every day. Don’t get lazy. When I come back, I’ll inspect you again.”
She paused before adding,
“And don’t overdo it. Just stay like this. You won’t look good if you get too muscular.”
She walked over and lazily dropped onto the sofa, completely ignoring the fact that she had just worked him into a state of barely contained frustration.
“Go take a shower. Then make me breakfast.”
“I’ll make breakfast first, then shower.”
“No. You smell like sweat. That’s not hygienic.”
“What if I drink a bottle of yogurt first and wait? I need a little more time. I’ll make breakfast as soon as I’m done showering.”
Yu Huan tilted her head and glanced at Zhu Heqing.
“Fifteen minutes. If you’re not done in fifteen minutes, I’ll order takeout myself.”
Zhu Heqing had never liked her ordering takeout.
He always thought food from outside wasn’t clean enough. When he was too busy to cook, he would simply call a private chef and have food delivered directly.
There was no way he could agree to let her order takeout now.
Looking at Yu Huan’s smug little smile, Zhu Heqing’s face was full of indulgence.
Suppressing the heat she had stirred up in him, he quickly took a shower.
Then, with his hair still half-wet, he went straight into the kitchen to make breakfast for his girlfriend.
Breakfast was fairly light.
Yu Huan picked at it and ate about half, leaving the rest for Zhu Heqing to finish.
Afterward, he put the dishes into the dishwasher, changed into his suit, and prepared to leave for work.
Before leaving, he asked Yu Huan one more time,
“Baby, are you really sure you don’t want me to take you home?”
“No need.”
Yu Huan was watching a video her roommate had shared and didn’t even look up.
She waved him off dismissively.
“Go to work. I’ll call you when I get there.”
Zhu Heqing lowered his eyes.
There were countless things he wanted to say, but in the end, they became just three words.
“I’m heading out.”
“Wait.”
Yu Huan called him back.
“You come here. I forgot to give you something.”
Zhu Heqing froze for a moment before walking over at her urging.
Yu Huan motioned for him to bend down and gave him a quick peck on the cheek.
“A goodbye kiss. You can go now. Work hard, okay? And when I come back, you have to have a present ready for me.”
The warmth of her lips seemed to linger on his cheek.
Zhu Heqing’s heart was as sweet as honey.
He lowered his head, and his deep, magnetic laugh was irresistibly charming.
“Mm. I’ll be good.”
Yu Huan gave a soft snort.
As expected of a rich man.
Even his laughter sounded like old money.
Not long after Zhu Heqing left for work, his childhood friend Zhou Muyang arrived outside the residential complex.
“I’m sorry, sir. Without authorization, I can’t let you into the community.”
The residential complex was in an extremely expensive area, so security was understandably strict.
Zhou Muyang had barely parked outside and stuck his head out of the car window to explain why he was there when the security guard politely shut him down.
The guard gave him two options:
Either the homeowner could come downstairs to meet him, or he could call the homeowner and have them confirm his identity.
