Calisto was sitting and listening to Molu’an report on the other matters when he suddenly heard a gunshot.

Clody had already been taken away. They had originally intended to throw him into the sea, but in the corridor, Clody suddenly began struggling violently and actually managed to escape.

The bodyguard instinctively drew his gun and shot him dead.Full novel: Overwhelmingly Spoiled: The Possessive Tycoon’s Cross-Border Romance — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

There was no one else on the top floor, but the top floor held the most important person of all—Jiang Xuning.

The next moment, Calisto opened the door and strode out, his face dark and murderous.

He left behind only one sentence: “Go and receive your punishment yourself.”

He opened the bedroom door and, as expected, saw that Jiang Xuning had already sat up in bed.

Hearing the sound, Jiang Xuning turned her head. When she saw Calisto, she put on an aggrieved expression and reached out to him.

“Where did you just go? I think I heard a gunshot.”

Calisto pulled her into his arms and coaxed her softly.

“I’m sorry, Baby. I went to deal with a little work just now. Everything’s fine now. The sea isn’t calm, and it’s noisy outside. You must have heard wrong.”

Jiang Xuning leaned against his chest and rubbed against him. “It’s all your fault~”

Of course, she did not really blame him. She was only being coquettish. Jiang Xuning felt that ever since she had fallen in love, she had become much more spoiled. Perhaps this was what it meant to be fearless because one was loved.

Her little hand slid down to his waist, intending to pinch him, but this man’s physique was too perfect. There was no flesh for her to pinch at all.

Calisto took her hand and guided it over his abdominal muscles. “Baby, I was wrong. How about I make it up to you like this, hmm?”

The rising inflection at the end of his sentence was full of seduction.

The temperature in the room slowly rose, and the two of them became entangled once more.

Morning light spilled through the gap in the curtains and fell across Jiang Xuning’s body. The fabric beneath her fingertips was not the familiar material she had felt every day before.

The moment she opened her eyes, she met Calisto’s smiling gaze.

He was half propped up, his fingertips stroking the ends of her hair.

“Awake?” His voice still carried a trace of hoarseness. As he leaned down, his breath brushed over her earlobe.

“Take a look. Are you satisfied with this place?”

Before Jiang Xuning could react, he had already lifted her, blanket and all, into his arms and sat her up.

Only then did she realize that this was not the bedroom on the cruise ship.

“This is your home?”

Jiang Xuning looked around curiously. The bedroom was very large, and its overall decor was done in shades of gray and white.

“This is our home.”

Calisto pinched her little cheek, as if punishing her for saying it wrong.

“If there’s anything you don’t like, tell the butler and have him change it according to your preferences. Anywhere in the entire Estate—anywhere at all.”

His lips pressed against Jiang Xuning’s cheek as he spoke and kissed her.

He wanted to be pressed against Baby every moment of every day. It felt so good. He loved it so much.

“Really?”

Jiang Xuning looked at him in surprise. The light in her eyes was like stars crushed into pieces, so bright that Calisto’s heart grew hot.

“Of course. Baby is the master of this house now.”

“Master?”

Jiang Xuning suddenly turned and hugged Calisto. Her eyes were sly, and she was as mischievous as a little cat.

“Then does that make you mine too?”

Calisto’s Adam’s apple rolled involuntarily. A faint flush quietly spread over the tips of his ears, and even his gaze softened a little. It was obvious that she had lured him so thoroughly that he had lost all sense of propriety.

“Baby is my master too.”

He stared at her as though his gaze were a vine winding tightly around her. Deep in his dark eyes, a possessive, obsessive light churned.

Baby…

He loved her so much.

He still could not restrain himself from holding her tightly in his arms and kissing her for a while longer.

After getting up and washing, Calisto led Jiang Xuning downstairs. The butler and servants had already been waiting below.

“Sir, Madam.” Dozens of voices rang out in perfect unison, as if they had practiced.

Jiang Xuning stopped in her tracks and instinctively waved her hands. “Ma… Madam? I’m not Madam. My surname is Jiang. Just call me Miss Jiang.”

The moment she finished speaking, the hand around her wrist tightened. Calisto’s knuckles turned white, and his voice grew hoarse. “Xuxu…”

Jiang Xuning turned to him in confusion. “What’s wrong?”

Calisto naturally could not bring himself to be angry with Jiang Xuning, but since he was in a bad mood, someone else might have to suffer for it.

He raised his eyes, and his gaze shot toward them like icy glints. Butler Luo Wen and the servants behind him were nearly covered in cold sweat in an instant.

It was all these fools’ fault. Why had they called her that so carelessly? He liked the title, of course, but what if Xuxu thought he had instructed them to call her that and decided he was being frivolous?

Although Jiang Xuning did not know what was wrong with him, she did not want outsiders watching them there, so she said to Luo Wen,

“There’s nothing else here. You can all go down first.”

Luo Wen and the people behind him did not dare move. They looked toward Calisto.

His voice was cold. “What are you standing there for? Didn’t you hear what she said?”

If Jiang Xuning had not been there, what he would have preferred to say was: If your ears are useless, go cut them off.

After everyone had left, Jiang Xuning led Calisto to sit beside the dining table. She held his hand and gently swung it while placing her other hand against his face.

“What’s wrong with you? You suddenly started acting strange just now. Is it because I wouldn’t let them call me Madam?”

Calisto exerted a little force and pulled her into his arms, settling her on his lap.

“Will Baby leave me? Why can’t they call you Madam?” His voice was filled with deep grievance.

Jiang Xuning found the tone of his voice rather novel. She cupped his face in her hands.

“Achi, are you being coquettish? You’re so cute.”

After saying that, she pecked him several times on the lips.

Calisto’s gaze froze, and his body stiffened slightly. “Baby…”

“I won’t leave you. As long as you continue to love me, I’ll love you forever too. I didn’t want them to call me Madam because I think it’s too soon. We’ve only been together for less than two weeks.”

“Achi, Baby, Hubby.”

The more she called him, the more affectionate she became. At the same time, she bent down and whispered into his ear, her warm, gentle breath brushing over his ear.

“Do you really not know whether I love you?”

He was coaxed back into a good mood again.

Jiang Xuning thought: Her boyfriend was really obedient and so easy to please.

Molu’an, Luo Wen: …

Calisto understood what she meant, but clever as he was, how could he let this opportunity pass?

“Good Baby, Madam is only a form of address. It shows how close we are, so let them call you that. Calling you Miss Jiang sounds too distant, as if you were a guest.”

As he spoke, he pulled her hand beneath his clothes.

“Achi, are you seducing me?” she demanded with her mouth, but her hand was not hesitant in the slightest.

“As long as it works on Baby, anything goes.”

“All right. It’s only a form of address, anyway.”

Calisto smiled in triumph. His darling might not understand the power of subtle influence. If they kept calling her that, little by little, she would come to accept that identity herself.

Of course, whether they called her that or not, the outcome would never change. But he liked hearing those two words. They represented one thing: she belonged to him.

After breakfast, he took her around some parts of the Estate. Elmont Estate was far too large to explore in its entirety, so they only visited a few of the more interesting places.

“Achi, this place is far too big.”

Jiang Xuning’s estimation of just how wealthy her boyfriend was had been refreshed once again.

“It’s fine. We still have a long time ahead of us. You can take your time exploring.”

After walking around so many places, Jiang Xuning felt a little tired. Calisto carried her to the screening room to watch a movie, then coaxed her to sleep.

He tucked the blanket around her, left the room quietly, and went downstairs.

In the living room, Luo Wen and the others were waiting. When they saw Calisto come down, they greeted him.

“Sir.”

Calisto sat in the seat of honor on the sofa. His fingertips tapped the armrest carelessly, every strike seeming to land on the very tips of their hearts. When he raised his eyes, there was not the slightest trace of warmth in his dark gaze.

“From now on, Madam’s word is my word. The way you served me before, you must serve her with even greater devotion from now on.”

“I do not want what happened this morning to happen again.”
