Yu Wanwan hung up the phone instantly.

That man’s magnetic and provocative voice, echoing as if through a chamber, struck her delicate eardrums.

It felt as if blood had suddenly rushed to her heart, pounding wildly.Full novel: Pampered Darling — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Her fair, tender face flushed so deeply it seemed about to drip blood.

That man carried an air of steady, aloof pride, his entire presence and aura making others instinctively hold him in awe.

Yet in front of her, Xie Tingnan would often speak lewd words with a perfectly straight face.

Yu Wanwan’s heart raced with fear, yet she felt a shameful fascination.

Fascinated by his careless, wicked smile, his blatant, sexually charged provocation.

Holding the phone, she felt her earlier act of hanging up might have been inappropriate.

She was even more afraid he would suddenly return and take her by force, regardless of anything else.

Tomorrow was her first day of university; she didn’t want to end up unable to get out of bed.

Thinking this, the young girl sat half-upright on the bed, her back slender and delicate, holding her phone as she sent a message to that number.

“Xie Tingnan, it’s too late. Can we not make a fuss? Tomorrow is my first day at Peking University. I want to rest well tonight.”

On the other end, the man had vented some of his pent-up frustration with a crude remark, feeling much more at ease.

He opened WeChat and directly sent her a friend request.

The moment Yu Wanwan accepted, Xie Tingnan’s video call came through.

In the video, the man’s handsome face appeared, half-wrapped in a white towel, his muscles sharply defined, exuding a bold and sensual aura.

He lowered his voice: “Miss me?”

The girl’s face was still burning. Afraid he might go wild, she shyly replied, “Yes.”

“Then I’ll give you a little treat.”

Xie Tingnan fixed his phone in place, tossed aside the towel, and the lens captured his “full view.”

With a roguish smile, the man picked up a black diamond-encrusted lighter beside him. With a click, a blue flame flickered to life.

A cigar now rested between his lips, though no one knew when he had placed it there. He lit it, took a shallow puff, and smoke slowly drifted from his nostrils.

Holding the cigar between his index and middle fingers, he leaned casually against the antique carved railing by the window—a picture of superior masculinity, both noble and brimming with raw sexual energy.

For a moment, even Yu Wanwan found herself entranced.

Especially…

Her face flushed crimson, yet she couldn’t help thinking: at certain moments, sharing pleasure with such a top-tier man, even without emotional attachment, truly deserved to be called “worth it.”

To submit to him, to accompany him briefly for these two years—she would spend this time with him, leaving no regrets.

Afterward, they would go their separate ways, and looking back, it would still be a precious and beautiful memory.

Behind the man was a spacious, uniquely designed viewing terrace, concealed by silver-gray curtains, hiding the outside world from view.

Yu Wanwan asked in a sweet voice, “Xie Tingnan, where are you? It looks like the kind of place with a palace-like feel, grand and luxurious.”

The man narrowed his eyes: “Want to come?”

The girl pursed her lips: “Are you alone?”

“What? Interrogating me?” Xie Tingnan let out a scoff.

Yu Wanwan couldn’t help but laugh: “I don’t have that much courage.” In truth, she didn’t have the right either, and of course, not the inclination.

“Silly girl,” Xie Tingnan frowned slightly. “What a waste of your pretty face. Don’t you know how to keep someone around?”

Xie Tingnan was truly on the verge of laughing in exasperation.

Here he was, freshly showered and clean, even taking the initiative to offer her a treat—almost like walking a runway and striking a few muscle-man poses.

All she had to do was say: “Xie Tingnan, I miss you. Can you come back?”

He would have immediately put on his clothes and rushed back to Yi Garden despite the exhaustion of the early morning.

But this girl seemed utterly clueless. Apart from that flimsy, unconvincing “I miss you,” she actually started chatting with him about everyday matters.

Did he lack someone to talk to?

The man viciously crushed out the cigarette in his hand, his tone half cold: “Do as I say. Strike a few poses.”

Yu Wanwan’s large, watery eyes stared at the man on the screen whose face had suddenly turned cold.

She showed no emotion, her hands moving swiftly and skillfully.

Her vermilion lips parted slightly as she said, “Xie Tingnan, let me dance for you. A classical dance, okay?”

The man couldn’t help but shudder, his Adam’s apple bobbing as the name “Wanwan” rolled out from deep within him, scalding hot.

The young girl gave a light, gentle smile and casually pulled one of his ties from the wardrobe.

Turning her head, her clear eyes seemed veiled in a thin mist, breathtakingly beautiful to the point of intoxication.

She didn’t look at the changing expression in Xie Tingnan’s eyes on the screen, instead focusing on the dark checkered tie in her hands, her slender, jade-like arms lifting gracefully.

Amidst the soft, elegant movements of the classical dance, she appeared like a series of stunning, enchanting paintings.

From every angle, she was perfectly presented before Xie Tingnan.

On the phone, only the man’s breathing remained, heavy in the deep night, like a provocative prelude.

The dance she improvised using his tie was truly ingenious.

The tie was tied into a beautiful bow around her elegant swan-like neck.

Like silk satin, it half-covered, half-revealed her body.

Finally, the tie slid down to Yu Wanwan’s slender ankle.

The young girl sat on the bed, her small hands deftly tying the tie into a pretty bow.

Hugging her knees, her face buried in her dark hair, making it appear even smaller, she blinked her innocent, doe-like eyes and cooed softly:

“Xie Tingnan, save me.”

Xie Tingnan…

He knew that if he returned to Yi Garden now, he would take her without hesitation.

But right now, this girl clearly had no real feelings for him.

She was evidently an exceptional actress, flawlessly seducing him while keeping her heart sealed away in some icy abyss.

Indeed, body and heart could be separated, and she seemed to control it even better than he did.

There was no infatuation or submission to speak of.

This version of Yu Wanwan was absolutely not what he wanted, yet it ignited a fierce desire to possess and conquer her.

The man looked at the little white rabbit pleading, “Save me,” and the corner of his mouth curled darkly: “Save you? Wanwan, you’re too naive. A wolf only knows how to devour you.”

Yu Wanwan smiled sweetly and softly: “Xie Tingnan, even that might not be a form of salvation for oneself.”

Xie Tingnan watched the bewitching enchantress with amusement.

He was increasingly discovering that Yu Wanwan was a multifaceted woman, one worth savoring.

“Go to sleep. You were very good today.” Xie Tingnan’s tone was natural yet distant.

“Mhm, goodnight.”

After obediently hanging up the phone, a sly smile crept onto Yu Wanwan’s lips.

She was beginning to understand that man’s temperament.

The more she acted like a meek, bullied wife, the more he would bully her.

So she tried teasing him instead, like a heartless woman who only sought physical pleasure.

Ironically, this made the man back off on his own.

A man like Xie Tingnan had too many people throwing themselves at him, each one obedient and delicate. Yet Yu Wanwan had become the only rebellious one he had ever encountered.

On the phone screen were the screenshots he had taken of Yu Wanwan—images of her dancing a classical dance, breathtakingly beautiful and stunning…
