Jiang Ranran: [Other things? What things??]

Jiang Ye fell silent again.

He seemed to be hesitating about something.Full novel: Perverted Noble, Surprises Me Every Night — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

A long time passed before he finally replied with a message.

[Jiang Ranran, you’re already an adult. There are many things I can’t control you on, so take care of your own health.]

Jiang Ranran: “??”

The car suddenly slowed down.

Jiang Ranran looked up and saw a villa before her eyes.

The gate opened, and the lights outside the villa lit up one by one. The warm yellow glow against the backdrop of the quiet mountain forest and snowy night created a somewhat fairy-tale-like romance.

Jiang Ranran realized that this was one of Yi Jingnian’s villas in the mountains.

It was hard to imagine that he owned property in such a remote, unknown forest.

“Why do you live here?” she asked.

“It’s quiet,” the man replied in a detached tone.

Jiang Ranran thought to herself that this place was indeed quiet enough—no one would even know if someone were murdered or set on fire here.

The garage was connected to the house, and their car drove directly indoors.

Yi Jingnian opened the shoe cabinet and took out a pair of warm slippers for her.

Jiang Ranran gratefully accepted them. “Thank you!”

She really did need a pair of dry shoes.

She got out of the car, the men’s bathrobe she was wearing trailing down to her ankles, and followed the man into the house.

The house wasn’t particularly large, but every detail of its design was exceptionally refined, paired with a full set of smart AI home systems.

The moment they stepped inside, the downlights automatically turned on, and the large curtains in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows obediently closed themselves, their movements so smooth they made no sound.

“Wow!”

Jiang Ranran couldn’t help but exclaim, “So high-tech, it’s almost like it’s haunted!”

Yi Jingnian chuckled. “Afraid of ghosts?”

Jiang Ranran said, “With you here, I’m not afraid.”

Yi Jingnian raised an eyebrow, signaling her to continue.

Jiang Ranran said, “Because I think you’re scarier than ghosts, so much so that I don’t even have time to be afraid of ghosts.”

“…”

Yi Jingnian asked, “Do I look frightening?”

Jiang Ranran shook her head. “Not frightening, and actually very, very good-looking.”

“Then what are you afraid of?”

“It’s just the feeling you give me…”

Jiang Ranran carefully considered her words. “If ghosts are like a sudden, terrifying image appearing before your eyes, then the feeling you give me is like the sound of breathing behind me.”

Jiang Ranran said, “The former is scary, but the latter is deadly.”

Yi Jingnian smiled but didn’t comment.

Jiang Ranran looked around the house, confirming there was no one else inside, and suddenly made a request.

“I’m hungry. Can I order takeout?”

It was a completely unnecessary question.

There was no way takeout could reach such a place, but she was just trying to pick a fight, hoping to establish some connection with the outside world.

Yi Jingnian seemed to see through her thoughts.

But he didn’t call her out on it, simply saying, “What do you want to eat? I’ll make it for you.”

“You’re going to cook?”

Jiang Ranran was surprised.

A powerful underworld boss who knew how to cook?

The man took off his expensive wristwatch and rolled up his shirt sleeves. The curve of his arm muscles was smooth, exuding a mature and steady sense of strength.

Jiang Ranran swallowed.

She really did feel a little hungry now.

Yi Jingnian took a bag of spaghetti from the refrigerator.

“How about this?”

Jiang Ranran nodded blankly. “Sure.”

Yi Jingnian took in her expression, his voice gentle and calm. “Aotian, go take a hot bath first.”

“…”

Jiang Ranran immediately became alert.

Taking a bath is both comfortable and unsettling.

It was already just the two of them, a man and a woman alone. The idea of her going to shower felt even more awkward.

But he had called her Aotian!

That name gave her strength and courage.

Jiang Ranran quickly made up her mind. Her hair was wet and sticky from the snow—she shouldn’t refuse a hot shower.

So she asked, “What should I wear after my shower? Are there any clean clothes I can change into?”

“There are some in the master bedroom closet. Pick whatever you like.”

Jiang Ranran walked into the bedroom and was met with a row of large wardrobes.

She opened the first door. Inside hung men’s clothing—various shirts and ties, clearly all belonging to Yi Jingnian.

So, after all that, she still had to wear his clothes.

But these clothes were all too formal. She opened the following doors one by one, hoping to find something comfortable.

Finally, when she opened one of the doors, she was stunned.

This wardrobe was filled with women’s clothing.

Jiang Ranran’s first thought was: So another girl has lived in this house before? Otherwise, why would there be so many women’s clothes?

But she quickly noticed that all the clothes were new, with tags still attached. Yet they had clearly been washed, all emitting a faint, soft, and pleasant fragrance.

What was even stranger was the style of the clothes.

She casually picked up one item—a pink puff-sleeved dress with an exaggerated bow tied at the back.

Then she picked up another—a white fluffy coat with two long rabbit ears on the hood and a round ball tail attached at the back.

Jiang Ranran: “…”

She went through them one by one, growing more and more uneasy.

The styles of these clothes were all extremely childish. Wearing them would make someone look either like a Barbie doll or a plush toy…

So what did Mr. Yi mean by specifically preparing these clothes?

Did he often bring girls here and make them wear these strange outfits?

Jiang Ranran didn’t dare to think too deeply about it.

She was now starting to suspect that this old man might actually be a pervert, with some kind of special fetish…

But now she was already alone with this pervert, a man and a woman in the same room, with nothing but forests and bears outside.

Jiang Ranran gritted her teeth and picked out one set from the wardrobe. She thought, since the contract was already signed, if he wants me to wear this, then I’ll wear it!

Besides, she kind of wanted to wear it herself.

Holding the clothes, Jiang Ranran walked out of the bedroom and asked, “Is it okay if I wear this?”
