Chapter 9 Fu Sheng’s Abandoned Kingdom

With Fu Sheng pressed against his back, his breath grazing his neck and gland, goosebumps rose layer by layer. Even without saying a word, He Yuan could feel Fu Sheng’s anger.Full novel: Pheromone Scam — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He Yuan felt a chill run down his spine, his scalp tingling. He had already started trembling out of fear.

He dared to deceive Fu Sheng, to play him, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t afraid of the truth being discovered by Fu Sheng.

Fu Sheng, on the other hand, was frustrated by He Yuan’s reaction, his chest feeling heavy. Angry to the extreme, he laughed in response. When He Yuan had deceived him, he had done so without hesitation, using him thoroughly and spinning him around. Yet, he dared to be so scared.

“Why are you running? You haven’t explained anything properly to me, and you’re already running. Once is forgivable, but you want to run a second time, huh?” Fu Sheng gripped He Yuan’s neck, lifted him up like a little chicken, and secured his hands and feet tightly. He pinched He Yuan’s chin, his sharp gaze sweeping up and down, confirming that He Yuan wasn’t injured or thinner. He smirked coldly, “Living well without me, huh? Have you gained weight?”

He Yuan lowered his gaze, pursed his lips, and remained silent.

Fu Sheng became even more frustrated seeing this.

He had a bad temper, to the point of being explosive. The entire military district knew that Fu Sheng was like a ticking time bomb, capable of killing someone if provoked. Especially during those years in the military, where he had to subdue one troublemaker after another, his temper would alternate between cold and fierce. When he had a dark expression on his face and said he would break the ribs of a 1.8-meter tall man, he would do it.

However, in front of the refined He Yuan, Fu Sheng would try his best to restrain his anger. After being transferred back from the border a few years ago, he had even managed to restrain himself to a respectable level, not displaying his temper like a brute.

But now, he was exceptionally angry. It had been a long time since someone easily provoked him like He Yuan did.

The angrier Fu Sheng felt, the calmer he appeared. “Speak.”

He Yuan raised his eyes. “What do you want to know?”

Fu Sheng, on the other hand, didn’t know what to ask anymore. He already knew what he should know, and what he wanted to know, He Yuan might not be forthright about it, and the answers might not satisfy him.

Was he just going to gloss over it so easily?

Impossible.

Fu Sheng coldly denied, his thumb caressing He Yuan’s cheek as he said, “You lied to me, and then you ran away without a word.”

He Yuan asked, “Do you hate me? Or do you want to kill me?”

Fu Sheng stared straight at He Yuan, gritting his teeth, “If you hadn’t run, I would have killed you on the spot as soon as I knew the truth!”

He didn’t ask, and Fu Sheng could tell what he was thinking. He pressed He Yuan onto the bed, biting his ear from behind as he said, “Now, I want to take my time.”

During the days when He Yuan had run away, Fu Sheng couldn’t find him. He hadn’t acted impulsively in a fit of anger. After several days of calm, he now had enough rationality to handle He Yuan and their relationship.

Fu Sheng caressed He Yuan’s gland, pressing down on the scar on his gland, and the skin quickly turned reddish in response to the heightened sensitivity.

His palm trailed over He Yuan’s spine, and under the thin clothes, there was a shivering body, trembling like a fallen leaf in the autumn wind. But at this moment, Fu Sheng felt excitement. He Yuan’s fear, his dread, and the fact that he couldn’t move against him made Fu Sheng feel like he had complete control over He Yuan, from body to soul. He didn’t need to fear that He Yuan didn’t love him or worry about him running away. He had complete control over He Yuan.

“Being afraid is okay, lying is okay, using each other is okay…” Not loving each other was also okay.

Fu Sheng kissed He Yuan’s gland and lightly bit it, causing He Yuan to tremble even more. It brought him a sense of pleasure.

“I was originally planning to question you about why you pushed me towards He Beijia that day,” Fu Sheng mentioned that matter with an unhappy expression, but he quickly abandoned his displeasure. After all, the person was by his side now. “But it doesn’t matter now,” he didn’t care anymore.

“I won’t ask for the reasons,” he wouldn’t ask why He Yuan didn’t want him, or whether He Yuan loved him or not. As long as he didn’t uncover those questions, it would be fine. “Just pay me back for how much you deceived and used me, one by one.”

He Yuan’s pupils contracted, and he groaned in pain. He felt his gland being bitten until it bled, and cold sweat appeared on his face. But what scared him even more was the Fu Sheng behind him. He felt that Fu Sheng wasn’t quite normal.

“Fu Sheng,” He Yuan finally became a little panicked, “Can you… can you just ask me instead? Scold me or accuse me of deceiving you in marriage, anything. Can I apologise? Fu Sheng, Fu Sheng…”

He Yuan pleaded softly. He had truly become afraid after the Fu Sheng’s e*trus last time. He still had some lingering fear now.

“It’s too late, He Yuan.” Fu Sheng remained unmoved. “I obtained the surveillance footage from the coffee shop where you went. I also found evidence of you intentionally revealing the trace of the truck carrying jade materials for the Fang and He families. I have all of it. These things won’t land you in jail, but if the Fang and He families find out, they won’t let you off.”

He Yuan froze, wanting to turn his head and look at Fu Sheng, but he couldn’t see him. Fu Sheng wouldn’t let him see. He didn’t know what expression Fu Sheng was wearing now.

“What do you want?” He Yuan asked in a low voice.

Fu Sheng replied, “They say that honesty is important between husband and wife. I think it makes sense. What do you think?”

He Yuan responded in a muffled voice.

But in reality, He Yuan’s response or lack thereof didn’t affect Fu Sheng’s decision. He said, word by word, “I think not only honesty is needed, but also settling accounts. If you obediently stay by my side, I’ll hide the surveillance and prevent any trouble from the Fang and He families. But deceiving and using me is another matter.”

Fu Sheng’s hand reached into He Yuan’s pants, pressing down on his abdomen. “I’ve been taking suppressants for six years, and I almost forgot that betas can get pregnant.”

He Yuan muttered, “Aren’t you in a rising phase in your career? Having a child would burden you.” This story is hosted at g.com.

Fu Sheng complained, “So you still care about my career? I didn’t know you had the potential to be a virtuous wife, He Yuan.”

Each retort stung, and He Yuan didn’t want to speak anymore. He tightly closed his eyes, feeling the throbbing in his temples.

Fu Sheng stared at the unresisting He Yuan, but he became even more furious. “Fang Ji has returned to the capital. He Yuan, if you stay by my side, obediently like before, I won’t hold it against you for deceiving and using me. I’ll protect you. Give me a child, and I’ll help you get revenge on Fang Ji.”

He Yuan trembled all over.

But Fu Sheng truly waited for He Yuan’s response, like an incompetent ruler who had thrown all his chips, both good and bad, just for a promise that may or may not be willingly given.

“Speak, He Yuan.”

He Yuan’s mind was in a jumble. When did Fu Sheng become so lacking in confidence?

Author’s Note:

He Yuan is the kind of person who would deceive and use Fu Sheng but still fear his anger, showing fear and trepidation. But sorry, next time he’ll dare to do it again.

He Yuan’s revenge is not over yet, and Fu Sheng has become a bit twisted now, on the verge of collapsing at the slightest touch.

There will be a dark room later, um, maybe even some running away with the bun? It’s so cliche, d*mn it.

The story of the older brother is in the extras, with amnesia, super melodramatic, no whitewashing of the scummy protagonist (bloody and cruel, but I can’t guarantee my writing skills can handle it).

The older brother’s CP is Wang Yuanyao.

The ending is one thousand words long, and I might (not necessarily) revise it later. It’s so frustrating.

I spent two hours working on these one thousand words (the mask of pain).
