Elise's brow furrowed, a flash of displeasure crossing her delicate cheeks, clearly unhappy with Mo Yu's change in attitude.

Yesterday, respectful and courteous.

This morning, lazy and languid.Full novel: Please Destroy the Main Timeline — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

This afternoon, downright neglectful.

This human was quite rude.

This shift in attitude also conveyed another signal to Elise.

The other party had nothing to fear.

Elise asked, "You actually have the leisure to come here and drink coffee?"

"Isn't this to avoid your pursuit and killing intent?" Mo Yu shot back.

Sincerity was the ultimate killing move.

Cards on the table, no more pretending.

"I have a precognitive ability. If I stayed at the villa this afternoon, a zombie dog would come to kill me."

Mo Yu threw it out bluntly.

Elise's expression was quite something.

"Are you sure?"

"Sure."

Elise fell silent. From her tightly furrowed brows, this matter likely had nothing to do with her.

Mo Yu continued speaking bluntly: "I know you didn't believe what I said yesterday, but it was true. When my ability awakened, I saw a very, very distant future—you became a Great Emperor, ruling this planet." "As for why I ended up in your house, that was an accident. I was fleeing from enemies hunting me, and a fail-safe left by my family sent me to your home."

Elise said expressionlessly, "Sequence 88—Prophecy? I see. I originally guessed you were Sequence 133—Strategist."

Under Mo Yu's sincerity killing move, Elise let her guard down somewhat as well.

Mo Yu continued, "I don't want to die. I still have revenge to seek. We can cooperate—you definitely need my ability, and I need a protective umbrella."

"Pledge loyalty to me." Elise's answer was simple.

Mo Yu grinned and said, "Of course, Young Miss!"

His tone held not the slightest hint of respect.

Elise frowned in displeasure. Mo Yu's attitude infuriated her, but she couldn't quite lash out over it.

Mo Yu pressed on, "Those zombie dogs, are you really sure you didn't send them? Does anyone under you have a similar ability? Could they have acted on their own?"

He described what the zombie dogs looked like.

Elise denied it: "Not my people."

Mo Yu rubbed his chin and told her about his own tests as well.

"I tried different actions, and the foreseen results were different each time..."

He finished explaining.

Elise's expression turned rather grim.

Mo Yu gave his conclusion: "Either you're being watched without realizing it, or you have a traitor among your people who's let the enemy into the village."

Elise didn't answer, staring at the tabletop, deep in thought.

Mo Yu said, "I suggest you start investigating from the people around you. Like... that Spirit Rabbit? You two seem quite close."

Elise's expression changed, and she immediately shot back, "Spirit Rabbit? What Spirit Rabbit?"

Mo Yu answered, "The super cute beautiful girl who ran over and hugged your arm after you got out of the car this morning."

Elise's expression visibly darkened, and she couldn't help but stand up, her voice rising, "Impossible!"

"Oh? You didn't know? You actually didn't know?" Mo Yu wore a teasing expression. "Her strength isn't inferior to yours, you know."

Elise sat back down, quickly composing herself. "If what you say is true, I can shelter you."

"What's your friend's name?"

"Alice."

"You two are close best friends?"

"Mm, we've known each other since childhood, we get along really well..."

There was a hint of dejection in Elise's tone.

Mo Yu recalled the Intelligence from Alpha.

The Spirit Rabbit belonged to the friendly faction.

He added, "Maybe she doesn't know your identity either, and you two have been deceiving each other."

"I'll investigate. If what you said turns out to be a lie... hmph!" Elise's expression turned cold.

Mo Yu laughed. "No need."

Elise sensed something and shot to her feet. "What do you mean?"

"I just wanted to know whether the zombie dogs were your doing, along with whatever information you know, and the reason you haven't killed me and your attitude toward me. Sorry, I lied—my ability is Rewind Time."

"You..."

Rewind!

2:30 PM.

Mo Yu yawned, rolled over, and kept lying down.

This rewind had yielded quite a bit of Intelligence.

"Alpha, what exactly is Sequence 133—Strategist?"

"A method of winning over a target, gaining love in return."

Mo Yu reviewed yesterday's conversation with Elise and realized that the last few questions had almost all been about Elise's personal preferences—what color she liked, what flowers she liked, what type of books she liked.

He'd cleared it through a brute-force approach combined with his sincerity killing move.

But from Elise's perspective, he had precisely stated the correct Intelligence.

So that was it.

The other party was fixated on this ability, not on believing his words.

As for Elise, there was no need to worry—the other party wouldn't make a move until they confirmed his ability.

The problem lay with the zombie dogs.

Who exactly was behind them?

Mo Yu began staking the place out.

4:00 PM.

He heard movement on the first floor and went out to check. When he reached the kitchen, sure enough, he saw the window open, with two zombie dogs gnawing on meat from the refrigerator.

The two zombie dogs turned their heads alertly, and upon spotting Mo Yu, let out low growls and launched their attack.

Mo Yu could clearly see the movements of the two zombie dogs, as if in slow motion. Before, he could only make out afterimages, but his massively boosted physical quality had multiplied his reaction speed several times over.

The zombie dogs were about the size of medium-sized dogs.

He precisely gripped the throat of one.

The zombie dog struggled desperately, striking back with the Tentacle on its back.

Mo Yu precisely grabbed the Tentacle, yanked it out with force, slammed the zombie dog to the ground, and kicked the other one flying.

Both zombie dogs collapsed, wailing, their patched-together bodies splitting open, spraying blood that stained the ground red.

He glanced around and muttered to the empty air:

"Alice, I know you can see me. Come out and let's talk. These two little things can't kill me."

"Dear Alice, you don't want anything to happen to your good friend, do you?"

Mo Yu pulled over a chair, sat down, and waited.

The two zombie dogs died.

Their bodies gradually turned to ash, and the spattered blood dissipated as well. In just three short minutes, everything vanished without a trace, as if it had never happened, leaving only a ruined refrigerator behind.

5:00 sharp.

The maid returned.

Mo Yu knew the person behind this wouldn't show up now.

Rewind.

This time he rewound to the moment he'd brought Alpha back to the villa. He avoided the bloodthirsty bats, picked a fairly concealed spot to generate a Mirror Image, then lay in wait near the villa.

4:00 sharp.

The zombie dogs didn't show up.

This was bad news.

The other party could choose whether to act based on his behavior, meaning they clearly understood his movements and had been watching him all along.

This morning's actions might have exposed some of his abilities.

What means of Reconnaissance did the other party have?

Technology, or an ability?

Rewind.

Mo Yu brought Alpha back to the villa, ate lunch as usual, then lay down to rest.

He had no intention of startling the snake in the grass.

The person lurking in the shadows was quite wary, and their behavioral logic was somewhat strange—knowing full well Elise was a Vampire, yet still choosing to attack him.

Was it a probe?

Until he was certain of the other party's goals and methods, he needed to avoid exposing his ability, send out fewer Mirror Images, and not reveal too much information about himself.

Rewind was his greatest trump card.

If someone figured out the details of Rewind, he could be facing real danger.

He had no intention of explaining any of this to Elise.

The person lurking in the shadows clearly didn't want to be exposed and acted with great caution—either they feared Elise's strength, or they had some reason they couldn't reveal. Either way, this could become leverage in his negotiations with them.

Just before 4:00, Mo Yu pretended to wake up.

He grabbed a golf club from the villa's storage room, then went to the kitchen for a drink, opened the back door to look at the scenery, and then saw two zombie dogs climbing over the wall.

"Die!"

Mo Yu struck first.

Swinging the golf club, he easily smashed both zombie dogs' Dog Heads open. Boosted by his physical quality and Comprehensive Combat, his close combat ability had risen to a terrifying degree.
