Mo Yu put on his sunglasses, admiring his new look from left and right. He was rather pleased with himself.

The maid stood off to the side, looking thoughtful.

Suddenly, she reached out and tugged at Mo Yu's pants.Full novel: Please Destroy the Main Timeline — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Mo Yu reacted swiftly, grabbing the maid's wrist and stopping her.

"What are you doing?!"

"Nothing."

The maid released her hand, her expression composed, as if nothing had happened. She chased Mo Yu out of the room and began changing. By the time she came out again, the maid had completely transformed.

Golden wavy curls, a beige trench coat, paired with a light-colored knit top and a long skirt underneath—she looked mature and elegant, completely different from before, like an entirely different person.

The two headed to an underground garage.

Many cars were parked here, all sorts of styles on display. At the maid's request, Mo Yu drove out a flashy black Sports Car. The maid sat in the Co-pilot seat, operating the in-car display to lock in the destination.

Decadi Themed Amusement Park.

21 kilometers away.

The car started up and drove out of the Underground garage.

During the drive, the maid took out a photo and handed it to Mo Yu.

In the photo was a beautiful girl, blonde hair, fair skin, quite young—clearly the gentle, refined type. She was wearing the same School Uniform as Elise.

"This is your target."

"I need a Sniper Rifle."

"Your mission is to seduce her! Not kill her!"

"Huh?"

Just as Mo Yu had guessed, Elise really was treating him as a Strategist to test, throwing him a task of pursuing a target.

"Can I switch?"

"What do you think?"

"And if I can't complete it?"

"Aren't you from the future? Then you should know full well the Young Miss doesn't keep trash around. Work hard, food."

The car left the Underground garage, and ahead lay a road leading toward the Suburbs.

"Follow the navigation, don't deviate. We've tampered with the surveillance along the way, no traces will be left. Hurry, time is limited..."

The maid was still giving instructions when Mo Yu slammed the gas pedal to the floor.

"Hold on tight!"

Seven minutes later.

The parking lot of Decadi Themed Amusement Park.

A Sports Car drifted gracefully around the corner, spun 180 degrees, and came to a precise stop in a parking spot.

Mo Yu killed the engine, pulled the handbrake, and remarked with admiration:

"Nice car."

The maid gripped her seatbelt with both hands, hair disheveled, expression terrified. Seven minutes, 21 kilometers, cutting through most of the city—she'd seen her life flash before her eyes, more than once.

For the sake of a Vampire's dignity, she forced back a piercing shriek.

She looked at Mo Yu.

He was the picture of ease.

As if weaving through traffic just now had merely been a stroll through the back garden.

This was a madman!

An absolute, thorough madman!

The maid was now certain of it.

Her impression of Mo Yu shifted once again.

Mo Yu was about to get out of the car when the maid grabbed his hem.

"I haven't finished explaining your mission. The target is the Young Miss's classmate. Today they're out together for fun—you can win her favorability when she's alone. If you manage to gain her trust, bring her to the work area beneath the Volcano Castle, and find a wall marked with an X. It has to be before sunset."

"Before sunset... does something happen after sunset?" Mo Yu asked back.

The maid said coldly, "Don't ask what you shouldn't."

Mo Yu grunted in acknowledgment.

After sunset.

That was a Vampire's time.

Elise was plotting something, just not letting him in on it.

He got out of the Sports Car.

He stretched his body on the spot.

The maid held onto the car door, her legs a little unsteady.

Mo Yu teased, "With your strength, you wouldn't die even if the car flipped at 300 km/h, right? What's there to be afraid of?"

The maid shot him a murderous glare: "It's daytime right now."

Under sunlight, a Vampire's strength would be severely weakened. The maid didn't fear sunlight, but that didn't mean it couldn't weaken her.

Mo Yu gazed off into the distance.

Blood Text surfaced in his field of vision, lifting his mood even further.

Those staff members in mascot costumes were hiding no small amount of filth.

Some were cartoon characters, some were live cosplayers.

A new type of Monster.

Alpha wasn't around—he'd ask about it later.

This Derivative Timeline was truly dangerous.

After the maid bought two tickets online, the two of them lined up to enter the Amusement Park.

Along the way they drew quite a few glances—a handsome man and beautiful woman together stood out in the crowd, attracting no small amount of prying eyes.

"Bad move, being too handsome is also trouble for food..."

The maid muttered to herself.

Mo Yu strode forward carelessly, while silently counting in his head. There were quite a lot of Pollutants, all dressed up as various cartoon characters, mingling with the visitors.

He secretly observed the maid.

She didn't seem to have noticed the Pollutants at all.

Using the tracker, the two quickly located Elise, standing on higher ground looking down.

Mo Yu had excellent eyesight and immediately spotted Elise.

A group of seven.

Four girls, three boys.

Clearly high schoolers out for a weekend outing—their relationships were easy to read at a glance.

Elise and Alice walked hand in hand at the back; two boys hovered around a target girl, as if arguing about something; the remaining boy and girl stuck close together, all sweetness.

Yuri, a ship, and a love triangle on top of it.

"Huh?"

Mo Yu noticed something off.

These classmates of Elise's were all somewhat unusual.

He couldn't quite put his finger on what made them special, but they stood out in the crowd—as if everyone else was coated in a layer of gray, while only these few retained their natural color, distinguishable at a glance.

"Do you sense it?"

The maid suddenly spoke up.

Mo Yu turned back, puzzled.

The maid explained, "They're all Demon Hunters. Your senses are sharper than an ordinary person's."

Mo Yu made a throat-slitting gesture.

The maid snorted, "If you're so capable, you go do it then."

"Tell me about Demon Hunters. Are they strong?" Mo Yu seized the opening.

He'd been worrying about how to get in contact with Demon Hunters—wasn't this the perfect chance?

The maid explained things to Mo Yu at length, and only through her words did Mo Yu truly come to understand a corner of this era.

The transcendents were powerful.

Their strength controlled how the entire society operated.

At least in the Central Continent it was so—behind the scenes in every region stood one powerful family after another, controlling ordinary people and Monsters through sheer overwhelming strength.

"That's not right, is it? Wasn't it said that Monsters control the upper echelons of Humanity?"

"Where'd you hear that?"

"Historical records."

"What unofficial history have you been reading? There really are some Monsters active among Humanity's upper echelons, but those Monsters are raised by Demon Hunter families."

"Shouldn't Humans unite to stop the Monster invasion?"

"Pfft..."

The maid burst out laughing.

She normally didn't laugh, unless she truly couldn't help it.

"If Humans actually united, they'd have wiped out the Monsters long ago."

"Infighting?"

Mo Yu decided he'd go back and give Alpha a smack.

The Intelligence he'd been given was all wrong.

Whatever happened to the whole "paying a heavy price to fight the Monsters" story?

He resolved to go back and thoroughly check whether the history recorded at the Space Station contained any shady rags-to-riches tales—if it turned out some great hero of a certain era had risen to power early on by selling out, then things would truly fall apart.
