He successfully survived the crisis of death.

Mo Yu secretly let out a sigh of relief.

Elise summoned a white-bearded butler to arrange a place for him to stay. He naturally wouldn't refuse, and followed the old butler along. Along the way, all the humanoid creatures they encountered were vampires. When they saw Mo Yu, they all showed puzzled expressions, their pupils flashing with an eerie red glow in the darkness, quite eerie.Full novel: Please Destroy the Main Timeline — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Mo Yu was very relaxed.

With the Rewind Ability, he wasn't worried about being ambushed. As long as it was within 6 hours, he had countless ways to avoid death.

Elise was the strongest here. Most of the vampires they encountered along the way were quite weak.

The blood-red text kept giving prompts.

As long as he killed one vampire, he could unlock the Monster Compendium and receive a certain reward.

He was led away by the butler to a relatively remote standalone guest building.

This area was far from the center of the manor, with no vampire activity, cold and deserted.

Mo Yu picked a room on the second floor to stay in.

The butler said, "If you need anything, find the person outside the door. Without permission, you cannot leave this area, understand?"

"I need a computer, and a suitable set of clothes."

"Wait."

The butler left after dropping that one line, his attitude quite cold.

Mo Yu dropped his backpack, took off his soaked clothes, and slipped into the bathroom.

Alpha followed him in.

Mo Yu took out his earpiece and secretly communicated with Alpha while showering.

"Current Timeline Perturbation Value: 0%. Theoretical calculations indicate at least a 20% perturbation value is needed to preserve the current derivative timeline."

"Countdown to return to the Main Timeline: 29 days, 21 hours, 24 minutes."

"Time is limited. It's recommended that the Station Chief abandon resource collection and focus entirely on increasing the timeline's perturbation value, to facilitate the generation of more Time Rifts."

As long as he did things that caused the timeline to shift, he could raise the perturbation value.

The greater the shift, the greater the perturbation.

It was best if they were good things.

Because the derivative lines that were preserved would, in the future, serve as basic materials for fusion. If he caused destruction everywhere, destroying the world every time, then even if the Main Timeline were reconstructed, it would still be a ruined world.

"Is there any intelligence on the Vampire Emperor? What's it called? What has it done?"

"Iris Dracula."

"Oh... wait! What's it called?!"

"Iris Dracula."

This... this couldn't be right, could it?

He had just pressed a button, and just like that, dropped smoothly into the Future Great Emperor's swimming pool?

"If she were killed, how much would the perturbation increase?"

"If Iris Dracula dies prematurely, the Vampire Era might not come to be. The impact would be massive, and the perturbation value would exceed 30%."

"Excellent."

The targets overlapped.

He could make killing Elise off his top priority, or, alternatively, find a way to capture her instead. The Space Station had top-tier technology specifically for monsters — a special containment room capable of sealing all abilities. There was no precedent of any monster locked inside ever escaping on its own.

If there was no progress after ten days or half a month, he'd move on to other matters.

He listened to intelligence from Alpha, regarding the Infiltration Period and some information about the Vampire Era. However, monsters didn't have the habit of preserving history, so after an era ended, very few records were left behind.

Mo Yu finished showering, came out, and organized his backpack.

Someone knocked on the door.

He opened the room door.

It was a vampire bodyguard in a suit and tie, wearing sunglasses, holding two bags in his hands.

A laptop, and a set of clothes.

Mo Yu took them and closed the door.

He went online to search for information.

In the year 2033, this timeline's human society was similar in developmental progress to Blue Star, in the mid-to-late Infiltration Period. In about a hundred years, monsters would formally step onto the stage of history, exposed to the public eye.

This planet had only three continents, divided into the Northern Continent, the Central Continent, and the Southern Continent.

Where Mo Yu was, was the Central Continent, which straddled the equator.

There was only one country here, the United States of the Central Continent, composed of 50 states, in the form of a federal government.

A place filled with the air of freedom.

Based on the information retrieved, the current atmosphere of the planet was quite friendly. Dozens of nations had very harmonious relations, having reached a consensus on the human community, cooperating for mutual benefit, with the global population having already surpassed 12 billion.

Alpha said, "Historical data shows that in the mid-to-late Infiltration Period, the covert conflict between humans and monsters was extremely fierce. Resistance organizations united and paid a heavy price to stop the monsters' expansion."

"Station Chief, humanity has many ancient legacies — Martial Artists, Demon Hunters, Taoist priests, shamans, monks, religious orders, and so on. They were once the vanguard against monsters, only later their lineages were entirely cut off. You could try making contact with these people to obtain some of their legacy."

"Sequence Abilities appear randomly. After the lineages were cut off, Sequence Abilities became humanity's only means of resisting monsters."

Mo Yu nodded in agreement. Staying by Elise's side, was he really worried about not having a chance to make contact with the extraordinary beings of this era?

Once the intelligence gathering was complete, Mo Yu activated the rewind, going back to before the bodyguard arrived, and began to prepare.

The sound of knocking rang out.

Mo Yu opened the door and greeted him with an obsequious expression, saying, "My lord, please, come in. You've truly gone to such trouble — how could I possibly let my lord deliver this in person?"

"Take it."

The vampire bodyguard's reaction was cold and indifferent. He held no interest in having any dealings with food; he was simply carrying out the butler's orders.

Mo Yu stepped aside and made a gesture of invitation. Looking in from the doorway, a cup of steaming hot blood sat on the table — the sealed blood plasma he'd found in the fridge while inspecting the room.

"My lord, I'm new here and there's much I don't understand. We're all subordinates of the Great Emperor — for the Great Emperor's cause, for the rise of the Blood Race, please offer me some guidance. Also, I have some good things from the future here, which I'd like to offer as a token of respect to my lord."

The fragrance of the blood plasma, the obsequious words, the temptation of good things.

With these elements stacked together, the bodyguard was clearly tempted. He glanced around first, then said in a low voice, "I can only sit for a short while."

With that, the bodyguard stepped into the room, walked to the table and sat down, picked up the cup to sample the blood, and asked in a haughty manner:

"What did you want to ask—"

Shhk.

A sharp titanium alloy dagger pierced out from the bodyguard's chest, puncturing his heart. The bodyguard struggled weakly for a moment before his body began to burn, turning to ash and scattering across the floor.

"Ordinary vampires are quite weak. A physical ambush can easily kill them."

Mo Yu made his assessment.

Rewind!

The bodyguard asked in a haughty manner, "What did you want to ask?"

Mo Yu cursed, "Bastard, look me in the eye!"

The bodyguard shot up in fury.

Mo Yu swung his dagger, slashing straight down at the bodyguard's face.

Clang!

The bodyguard drew a dagger from his waist, blocking the strike, and sneered:

"You've got a death wish!"

Mo Yu slashed a second time.

This time the bodyguard didn't block it. Instead, he thrust his dagger straight at Mo Yu's chest, trading wound for wound.

Mo Yu had no choice but to switch from offense to defense.

He blocked the dagger's thrust.

The force was tremendous.

The violent collision left his wrist numb.

The bodyguard clearly wasn't using his full strength, his attacks controlled with ease, his speed extremely fast, thrusting the dagger again and again.

Mo Yu kept retreating.

His physical quality was 1.3, and in terms of power, he was on the same level as professionals who trained in strength for a long time.

Now he was completely overwhelmed.

He was also at a disadvantage in speed.

An ordinary vampire's physical quality far exceeded that of an ordinary person, and combined with their trait of not fearing injury, it made them fight like a mad dog.

Mo Yu quickly reached a conclusion.

His win rate in direct hand-to-hand combat was 0.

"Stop! I'm not fighting anymore! I have something to say!"

Mo Yu shouted for him to stop.

The bodyguard, with the expression of a man certain of victory, stopped his attack.

The two sides put some distance between them.

The bodyguard said, "What did you want to say... tch! You've got no sense of martial ethics!"

Mo Yu drew his automatic pistol, emptied the magazine in one second, turning the bodyguard into a sieve, with the impact points concentrated on his chest.
