RANDOM GHOST STORIES (WORD COUNT) 1: WARNING!

RANDOM GHOST STORIES (WORD COUNT) A story I’ll never forget This is one of my favorite paranormal stories, shared with me by my grandfather.

It gives me chills every time I think about it.Full novel: Pokemon: Chaos Incarnate, Wooing Cynthia — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He said that he was working on his tractor alone one day and his hand got stuck in one of the parts.

I don’t know anything about tractors, but it was basically trying to eat his hand.

At this time, his brother had an overwhelming feeling that he needed to go check on him.

Just when my grandfather thought he was going to lose his hand, he saw his mother climb into the tractor and turn it off.

His brother arrived shortly after and was able to help him free his hand.

When he told me, I said, “Thank goodness your mom came and turned the tractor off!” He replied, “Yeah, but she’d been dead for 5 years.” — My mom made my brother promise not to tell me what he saw.

I’ve never really been someone who believes in ghosts or anything like that, but this is one experience I’ve never been able to explain.

When I was around 8 years old, my mom (a single parent at the time) moved me and my brother into a small apartment in a pretty rough area.

It was low-income housing, a lot of crime, and there was even a police office inside the complex.

a watered down version of the projects for the state I lived in I have a lot of weird stories from living there, but this is the one that stuck with me.

One night, everything was completely normal.

I went to bed like usual.

My bed faced directly toward my bedroom door, and I always slept curled up on my side because I was scared of everything as a kid.

Sometime in the middle of the night, I woke up.

I was on my back—which again, I never do.

That’s when I looked at my door.

It was wide open.

I never slept with it open because I was terrified of the dark.

Standing in the hall outside my door, was a woman.

I know how cliché this sounds, but she was wearing a white lace dress with a small veil pinned into her hair.

The part that didn’t feel normal was her skin—it looked blue and almost like it was rotting.

She didn’t move or speak.

She just stood there staring directly at me.

What’s weird is… I wasn’t scared.

I felt like I couldn’t move, but my body wasn’t fighting it.

I knew I wasn’t sleeping.

I was a very anxious kid.

I hated sleeping alone, and I scared easily.

But in that moment, I didn’t feel panic.

I just stared back at her.

I could even see her chest rising and falling like she was breathing.

After a while, I just closed my eyes and went back to sleep.

The next morning, my door was closed.

I told my mom what I saw, and she gave me a weird look, then changed the subject.

My brother didn’t say anything.

Years later, when I was around 14 or 15, we were talking about that apartment at dinner.

I brought the story up again, just casually.

Everything went quiet.

My brother looked at my mom and said, “I think she’s old enough to know.” Back then, his room was down the same hallway as mine.

One night, he woke up thirsty and went to get water from the kitchen.

When he stepped into the hallway, he saw a woman standing there.

He described her exactly the same way I did.

She didn’t acknowledge him.

She was just staring into my room.

He got freaked out and went back to bed.

The next morning, he told my mom.

My mom panicked and told him he could tell me, because she didn’t want me to be too scared to sleep alone.

That same morning… I came into the kitchen and told them what I had seen.

I hadn’t thought about it much after that, but recently my sister told a story about how, a few years prior, I was talking in my sleep about a woman outside on the swingset, dressed in white.

She was laughing telling the story.

All I could picture was the same woman.

Nothing like this has ever happened to me again, and we moved out of that apartment not long after.

I still don’t know what to make of it—but I can still see her clearly, even now.

TL;DR: As a kid, I saw a woman in white standing in my doorway.

Years later, my brother told me he saw her too—standing in the hallway, staring into my room—and my mom told him never to tell me.

— The Taiwanese Family Who Believed “The Deity Had Arrived” In 2005, in Gushan, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, (台灣-高雄-鼓山) an ordinary family surnamed Wu (吳) became involved in one of the most unsettling cases I have ever come across.

On the surface, they were just a normal household.

The parents worked for a living.

Some of the children lived locally, while others had moved elsewhere for work.

Nothing about them seemed unusual.

No abandoned mansion.

No cursed mountain road.

No haunted temple hidden in the forest.

Just a family home.

And maybe that is what makes this case so disturbing.

According to reports, everything began after the youngest daughter visited a temple for a ritual meant to calm her spirit after a fright.

After that, her behaviour changed.

She claimed that Nezha, the Third Prince, had possessed her.

She also said that her eldest sister, who was living in Taipei at the time, was in danger and had to return to Kaohsiung immediately.

The family believed her.

They brought the eldest sister home.

From that moment, the house seemed to drift further and further away from normal reality.

The doors and windows were shut.

A household altar was set up.

Incense, talismans, deity statues, and ritual objects began filling the space.

What should have been an ordinary family home slowly became a sealed-off world of fear, belief, and spiritual panic.

Soon, the eldest sister also began acting strangely.

She reportedly suffered nightmares, became extremely frightened, and after receiving a mysterious phone call, entered a trance-like state.

She claimed that Guanyin Bodhisattva had possessed her and that she had come to help people resolve disasters and misfortune.

At first, the family tried to stop it.

They took her to rituals and meditation, hoping she would return to normal.

But the “deity” did not leave.

Then other family members began entering similar states.

One claimed to be the Jade Emperor.

Another claimed to be the Queen Mother of the West.

Someone else claimed to be one of the Seven Fairies.

At some point, the family stopped relating to one another as father, mother, siblings, and children.

Their ordinary identities were replaced by divine names.

Their speech changed.

Their behaviour changed.

The house became a place where normal conversation no longer mattered.

What mattered were “messages,” “signs,” and “commands.” This is where the case becomes especially frightening.

If one person believes they are possessed, the others may still be able to intervene.

But when an entire family begins believing the same thing, who is left to question it?

Inside that house, there were no outsiders.

No neutral observer.

No one standing apart from the fear.

Every person seemed to reinforce the beliefs of the others, until the whole family was trapped inside the same nightmare.

Eventually, their attempts to “drive away evil” became physical and extreme.

They believed that pain could force harmful spirits out.

They slapped and beat one another, used ritual objects, burned incense, drank talisman water, scattered salt and rice, and carried out disturbing acts in the name of spiritual cleansing.

To people outside the house, it looked like abuse.

To them, it was salvation.

Neighbours reportedly heard screaming, crying, and laughter coming from inside.

Some said they saw the family entering trance together.

What makes this different from a simple crime story is that it does not seem to have been driven by ordinary hatred.

They were not attacking each other because they wanted revenge.

They seemed to believe they were helping each other.

That is the most horrifying part.

When belief loses its boundaries, even love can become dangerous.

After days without proper food, sleep, or rest, the eldest daughter collapsed.

Her condition was clearly serious, but the family reportedly believed it was not death or medical crisis.

They thought it was some kind of spiritual state, perhaps the soul leaving the body.

Only when she stopped responding did the father suddenly realise something was wrong.

He went to a neighbour for help, and emergency services were called.

But it was too late.

The eldest daughter had no signs of life when she was taken to hospital.

Later examination found injuries and signs of severe exhaustion and deprivation.

Her death was linked to multiple organ failure.

After the incident, police entered the house.

Reports described thick curtains, foul air, ritual objects, talismans, deity statues, filth, and a suffocating atmosphere.

It sounded less like a crime scene from a movie and more like the final remains of a family that had completely lost contact with the outside world.

The case later went through the legal system.

Medical evaluations reportedly found that the surviving family members did not have mental illness.

Prosecutors pursued charges related to abandonment resulting in death, but the court ultimately ruled that it was difficult to establish a direct causal link between external force and the eldest daughter’s death.

The remaining family members were found not guilty.

And that is why this case still feels so hard to classify.

Was it crime?

Was it collective psychological collapse?

Was it superstition pushed to its most terrifying extreme?

Or, as some people still believe, was there something truly supernatural inside that house?

Years later, the case was brought back into public attention because of the Taiwanese horror film *Incantation*.

The movie did not directly recreate the case, but it drew from the same kind of fear: folk belief, taboo, collective panic, and the terrifying pressure of invisible forces.

For me, the scariest question is not whether the Wu family was really possessed.

The scariest question is this: When everyone inside a home believes the same terrifying thing, who gets to be the first person to wake up?

Because maybe the most frightening moment in any horror story is not when a ghost appears.

It is when people stop doubting.

— My Most Terrifying Real-Life Experience I’ve never really told this story online because every time I think about it, I get the same uneasy feeling I had that night.

This happened about six years ago when I was coming back home from a friend’s house.

It was late, somewhere around 1 a.m., and I decided to take a shortcut through a quiet road that passed near a large field.

I had walked that route dozens of times before, so I wasn’t worried about it.

The night was unusually silent.

There were no cars, no dogs barking, not even the sound of insects.

About halfway down the road, I noticed someone standing near the edge of the field.

At first, I assumed it was just another person walking home.

But as I got closer, I realized they weren’t moving at all.

They were just standing there, facing in my direction.

Something about it felt wrong.

I couldn’t make out any details because it was dark, but I could tell the figure was unusually tall.

I kept walking, trying not to stare.

When I finally passed the spot where I had seen it, I glanced over.

The figure was gone.

I immediately stopped and looked around.

There was nowhere it could have disappeared to in just a few seconds.

The field was open for hundreds of feet, and there were no trees or buildings nearby.

I remember feeling a chill run through my body, but I convinced myself that I was tired and imagining things.

Then I heard footsteps behind me.

They weren’t loud, but they were clear enough to hear on the empty road.

I turned around expecting to see someone, but there was nobody there.

The footsteps stopped the moment I turned.

I stood still for a few seconds, listening.

Nothing.

As soon as I started walking again, the footsteps returned.

This happened three times.

Walk.

Footsteps.

Stop.

Silence.

At that point, I was genuinely scared.

I pulled out my phone and turned on the flashlight.

The road behind me was completely empty.

I started walking faster, and the footsteps seemed to match my pace.

I didn’t look back again.

I just kept moving.

When my house finally came into view, I felt relieved.

I hurried to the front gate, unlocked it, and stepped inside.

Before closing the gate, I looked down the street one last time.

Someone was standing there.

The figure was at the far end of the road, completely still.

Even from that distance, I could tell it was unusually tall.

What I remember most clearly is that it seemed darker than the darkness around it, almost like a shadow that didn’t belong there.

I slammed the gate shut and rushed inside.

I didn’t sleep much that night.

The next morning, I convinced myself that fear had gotten the better of me.

But later that day, my neighbor asked me a strange question.

He said, “Were you outside late last night?” I told him yes.

He looked uncomfortable and said he had been looking out of his window around 1 a.m.

and had seen me walking down the road.

Then he asked, “Who was the person following you?” I felt my stomach drop.

I never told him about the figure.

In fact, I hadn’t told anyone.

To this day, I have no explanation for what happened.

Maybe there was a real person on that road.

Maybe my mind filled in details because I was alone and tired.

But I know one thing for certain: I wasn’t imagining the footsteps, and according to my neighbor, I wasn’t walking home alone that night.

— This happened years ago and it still freaks me out.

This is not something I am looking for advice on.

It has been in my mind for so long and freaks me out whenever I think about it.

Several years ago, I was hanging out with 4 friends of mine at L’s house.

It was getting late and suddenly someone had the idea to go to the backyard and play flashlight tag/ hide and seek.

Everything started out fine, we were laughing and joking with each other.

Then it was my turn to seek.

For context L’s backyard is shaped like a rectangle, her back porch sits on the top of the width.

In the bottom corners there is a greenhouse on one side and a trampoline in the other.

I closed my eyes counted to whatever number and then I went to look.

M was laying on top of the trampoline due to the fact that she didn’t want to play in this round.

I looked under the trampoline and found R crouched in the corner by the fence.

To finding him I said, “I found you R, you can come up now.” I said this as I was standing up and when I didn’t get a reply, I bent down again to find no one was there.

This freaked me out.

I then quickly went to find everyone behind the greenhouse including R who was on the far side.

This meant that he couldn’t have been under the trampoline as there was no way he could have move around this quickly.

Along with this he isn’t the kind of person to play tricks like this.

I told everyone what happened and was visibly freaked out.

M who is R’s sister even confirmed that I had said I found R.

After this happened, we went inside due to the fact that I refused to be out there any longer.

M ended up telling me that what I saw would have been a mimic.

Frankly, I do believe in spirits, but when things happen, I try to find the logic first.

Only there is no logic to this.

I have had a similar encounter when I was younger, but I won’t share that here.

This still has to be one of scariest things that has ever happened to me, and even years later it still freaks me out.

This is somthing I really just wanted to share but I would love to know if anyone else has experienced something like this.

— Haunted Mall Store So back when I was in university I worked for a mail chain store that was geared towards young girls and tweens (important detail).

I was getting training at a different location than the one I was going to be working at because our store was not open yet, when the manager there mentioned in passing “Yea, so when you come in, you’re going to find a lot of things on the floor.

Just put them back on the shelf.” “Why are they on the floor?” I was thinking maybe it was because they were extra busy and didn’t have time to do a full facing.

“It’s just George; he likes to mess with us.” Record scratch.

Who’s George?

Turns out George was the name they had given a “ghost,” though it wasn’t really known if everyone believe he was real at the time.

Our store and then a few others that were geared towards girls 7 to 17 were general “targets” of George.

I tell my mom about this funny thing, passing it off as a non issue.

We aren’t a very woo woo family, and my mom is very much not woo at all.

“George?

No, his name is Sam.” I’m sorry – what?

My very real world present mother proceeds to tell me the story of Sam, the man who used to own a movie theatre in the mall and how he was being investigated (credibly) for (redacted)ing little girls.

Credibly in that my mom works for one of the doctors who was working with victims, so mom believed he was guilty.

There were over a dozen girls aged 8 to 16 who had come forward.

He hanged himself in the theatre.

I only had a handful of shifts left, but when I was alone on my next shift I told Sam to fuck off, that he deserved what he got and he should leave our store alone.

I never had an issue for my remaining four or five training shifts, but apparently as soon as I left, “George” returned.

I never did tell the other people who worked there.

I feel like if they learned that it wasn’t just a “fun thing to say” and that there was even the potential that it was related to something so dark, I dunno, it might’ve made it harder to be there.

— Paranormal activity I wanted to share but can’t on subreddits.

Thankfully I have not seen or heard anything as scary as my sister.

I admit I am a scaredycat.

But on the contrary my twin sister has had some experiences through the years.

For context we lived in an old house, from around the early 1900s.

Supposedly the family that lived in my grandparents house had a house fire were their daughter passed.

We did not know about this until after my sisters experience.

When we were around 12 she claims she woke up in the middle of the night and saw a pretty little girl with braids with her arms on the bed and her chin resting on them watching her.

She said she was very close.

But once my sister realized that this little girl should’t of been there she closed her eyes and hang on to her blanket scared.

Days later she told my grandparents because she just felt scared.

She says the girl never gave her a bad feeling but the fact that she knew she wasen’t supposed to be there made her feel scared.

My grandparents said they had never seen anything but my uncle who was just a couple of years older shares that him and his girlfriend now wife had experienced some things.

My uncle was getting ready to go out and his girlfriend was waiting in the living room.

When he came out of the bathroom, she asked him if he had left the water on.

He also heard the water running but when he went back the water was off.

Then before they left again they heard the water running so he went back and this time the water was running.

He felt it was odd but he usually tries to look for the most logic reasons.

Back to my sister.

As the years passed she would constantly tell our paretnt that “I heard this or that” or “I saw a shadow…” my mom who never experienced any paranormal would tell my sister it was because she liked to see paranormal shows and videos.

These next paragraphs will be her experiences at the department store she worked at.

She started working at a mall in one of those brand stores.

She worked at the customer service counter.

This was on the third floor of the store.

Usually she had to let all of the employees out and then she had to wait for the manager and the store guard.

So she would be one of the only ones in the store when closing.

At first she said she could only hear how hangers would clink against each other.

She found this odd since she was supposed to be one of the only ones in the whole store.

But she would just deal with it, thinking it was her imagination and the echos of the day.

One day as she was closing she heard something in the offices behind the counter so she told the security guy if he could check if someone was there before they left.

She got the creeps when he looked her in the eye and said, “get your stuff and lets go”, she even questioned him again and said what if someone is hidding there or something.

He again said “just ignore it and let’s go”.

So they did.

Another time she went to the lunch room and it was just her in there.

She heated her food and sat to eat.

In the room there is a storage room when they keep mannequins and other things.

She swears she heard the door creak and it opened a little bit.

She said she froze and just waited to see who was coming out.

Well no one ever did so she grabbed her food and left in a hurry she said she had the chills and the scariest and weirdest feeling.

She know the lady that worked on cameras so she asked her if someone had gone in there before her and not come out or if she could see anything.

She said no one went there before her but they could see the door crack open.

After that she would only go in to eat if there were more people.

Remember the hangers clinking against each other, well she said they were leaving walking on the hall way she was already scared and nervous everytime she had to close so she would walk close to the manager and the security guard.

She says she does not understand how her purse got stuck to a hanger since she was waling in the middle of the hall and in between her manager and the guard.

They joked that the ghost wanted her to stay but for her it just build up the creepy/scary feelings.

Almost done two or three more stories.

One time she had to train a new customer service employee.

Let me try to explain the setting to give context customer service is pretty wide.

To both edges on the right and on the left there are hall ways towards the offices on the back.

There is a meeting room on one of the sides.

Well she said they were getting ready for the last couple of hours of work and that all of a sudden in the meeting room they hear loud commotion.

Chairs and tables being thrown.

Someone or something was very upset.

But there was no meeting and no one was supposed to be in there.

My sister said she got nervous because she knew that there was something in there.

But acted line nothing until the new girl was wondering and wanted to see.

My sister told her not to go and to just ignore it because there was no one in there.

She said maybe she was mean to her because she told her “if you go in there and something happens, I will grab my stuff and run away, so just ignore it”.

They continued working and never talked about it.

One of her experiences that push her to her limit was that one night as she worked with one of the older ladies that had trained her and with whom she enjoyed working with.

They were closing their cashers she was on the far left corner and the lady was on the other side.

All of a sudden the lady screamed.

My sister got scared and asked her if she was okay.

The lady was pale and looked scared so she asked her again.

But the lady refused to tell her.

So she asked her again and told her she needed to tell her since she was going to stay there by her self.

The lady told her there was a man but he looked weird and he was leaning in as if he was going to whisper/ my sister something in the ear.

She said she got really freaked out and practivally begged her to close the storre together.

After this she hit rock bottom and decided to look for another job.

My experience so far happened a couple of weeks ago.

On a sunday my parents and sister went to the hospital to get my dad checked out.

I stayed home with my brother.

We were asleep in the TV room which has a clear view of the kitchen.

I was asleep and I woke up because I heard something, I am not sure if it was in my sleep or what but I think I clearly saw a figure go into the kitchen.

I assumed my parents were back but as I continued to listen and watch the kitchen I realized there was no one else.

I felt a little scared so I turned around and hugged my brother.

Four days later my mother passed away so I am not sure if that had anything to do with that.

But it has been lingering in my head.

These are some paranormal activities my family has gone through.

— My scary story.

When I was a little girl of about 7 years old I woke up one morning and went out to our living room.

Our front door had a draft under it so my parents had taken to rolling up a blanket into a cylinder and laying it in front of the draft to keep the heat from escaping.

This one morning when I got up my favorite Aunt was rolled up in the blanket and she liked at me and said, ” Don’t worry baby, Aunt Bunnie is here and everything is going to be alright.” I excitedly ran to my parents room to tell my mom that my aunt was here only to have my mother tell me that the night before my aunt had been killed in an horrific auto accident.

Some young people had been drag racing down a two lane road and had hit my aunts truck head on and flipped up on top of it.

She was crushed and killed instantly.

So my aunt came to say goodbye to me and I have never forgotten it.

I even remember the blanket was a white chenille bedspread.

Anyhow, that’s my earliest ghost story.

I have more though.

My little sister and I are sensitive to spirits.

I’m in my 50’s and she’s in her 40’s.

— I was born in Paranormality!

My mother told me to tell you this story,my mom was already 9 months pregnant, she came in at the hospital at about 3pm and stayed a few hours then her water broke.

the doctors took her to labour wards where she waited for me to finally come out,at about 11pm a labour nurse came in to check on her,she wore a pantyhose with hills and a white nurse’s coat.

My mom liked her because she was very nice and even shared names.Unfortunatley I was in a hurry to get out of that lady’s stomach, it was delivery time, since there was no other nurse around the kind nurse helped my mom to deliver me.

At around 3am in the morning I was born, the doctors came in running because they heard an infant crying, they assaulted my mom saying that she was a bad mother because what if I had died.

My mother quickly explained that a kind lady helped her to deliver the baby, the doctors were confused because they were the only one present at that night shift,my mother described what the doctor looked like and told them her name.

The doctors were shocked because the person my mom was talking about died 6 years ago.my mother was shocked but also relieved that she was holding her baby boy in her arms.

My mom never saw the kind nurse again, even after she was going to sign the birth certificate.

As for my father 🙅and 🏃 — I saw my grandpa the night he died I am 43F, this happened when I was 10.

The day my grandpa died, he had been at work as a mechanic at a gas station (back in the early 90s when you could still find those).

The story was he had sudden cardiac arrest, because he dropped and there was an EMT putting gas in their car that started CPR within seconds, but he was dead when he hit the ground.

That evening my siblings and I were siting in my grandparents front lawn when from the porch to my right, I saw my grandpa standing there clear as day with his hands on his hips, smiling at us.

When I turned to look at him, he was gone as quickly as he had appeared.

It SHOOK me.

I went and told my mom who said I should tell my grandma about it.

When I did, I was able to describe the shirt he was wearing (to tell them how clearly I saw him); when I did, my grandma began sobbing.

I apparently described the outfit he had been wearing at work that day.

I am an atheist/agnostic and I still cannot explain this.

— I Don’t Trust The Corner I didn’t really know what to name this, but honestly, the title says it all.

I just moved into my first new home as a young adult, 23F, and something strange is starting to happen.

When we initially visited the home it had great energy, and I absolutely adored every piece of it.

An important thing to mention is that I am visually impaired so having a good understanding of spatial awareness as well as being able to feel tension or other emotions within a room is kind of my specialty.

However after we’ve moved in something seems to have shifted in the living room specifically.

There is a corner in the back that doesn’t get much light despite it being right next to the window, and something about it just screams uncomfortable to me.

As my boyfriend was bringing furniture up and down the stairs I found myself standing in the living room staring into this corner, almost feeling like I was having a staring contest with something.

I have enough experience with the paranormal to know when to back down and went to Not, and I stood my ground firm.

I continued to stare into the corner until whatever I felt had dissipated, and when I walked into the kitchen under my breath I whispered, “I’ve got my eye on you”.

As soon as that left my mouth, three of the doors upstairs slammed simultaneously.

I am not joking this is absolutely the scariest thing that has happened to me in a long time, and I have no way to explain it other than a really aggressive air draft or something I have no understanding of yet.

I walked over to the corner again today and it was cold, like ice cold, despite the rest of the house being in the 70s.

I don’t know what is going to come of this, but I will keep you updated — THE TOWN HOUSE The town house that my partner, daughter (aged 4) and myself rented in 1994 was located along the shores of Lake Illawarra, Australia.

Shortly after we moved in, I began hearing someone walking in the upstairs hallway.

At first I thought it was my daughter sneaking out of bed…which sometimes it was.

But other times when I went to investigate, she was in bed, asleep.

I never said anything about the footsteps to my partner, making the assumption that the sounds were the result of the town house settling or my imagination.

.

My partner takes care of our daughter, so she is home all day.

Soon she began telling me that she kept hearing someone walking around upstairs when nobody else was up there.

She said that she heard the sounds often, so I told her that I was also hearing things.

.

One day my partner was in the kitchen cleaning the oven, our daughter was with her and busy playing in the tiny yard by the back door and inside on the first floor.

My partner was working on her hands and knees and had stopped for a moment to catch her breath.

Still on her knees, she was suddenly hugged from behind.

It was such a loving hug and wonderful feeling that she turned around to give our daughter a hug in return.

.

But there was no one there.

.

She said a strange sensation of happiness, loneliness, and love flowed through her body.

She immediately jumped to her feet and called out to our daughter.

She was in the lounge room a few metres away, playing with her toys.

.

Another night while my partner and I were in bed, we heard someone walking in our bedroom.

The sounds started on my side of the bed, moved around the bed, then went out of the room, down the hallway and down the stairs.

.

However, one night, our daughter came running out of her room into our bedroom, wide-eyed and out of breath, and started telling us about the ‘mice’ that were in her room at night.

Scratching noises on the floor and the sounds of a child running around in her room, she wouldn’t go back in there.

She slept with us for the remainder of the lease.

.

Sadly, my partner and I didn’t want to leave this fascinating and surreal experience but had no choice.

We feel that the encounters were of a lonely child, perhaps still looking for mum.

— I worked nights at an Office Depot.

This is around 2002 to 2004.

It was just me and one other guy.

We were locked inside from 9pm to 6am.

The only way out was through the emergency exits which would set off the alarm.

It all started when we were both in the back office printing signs for the ads.

I remember we were talking, joking around when suddenly we both stopped cold.

There were footsteps in the hallway leading to the office.

They got all the way to the door but there was no one there.

We walked out to the salss floor and the gates were still down.

The doors were locked.

Time goes by and weirder and weirder things keep happening.

Voices, shadows, etc.

The absolute weirdest was one night around 3am the store phone kept ringing and ringing.

Finally my coworker answers it, listens for a few seconds then says, “you have the wrong number.” And hangs up.

The phone rings again.

Again he answers, tells the caller they have the wrong number, and hangs up.

AGAIN the phone rings.

I walked over, asked him what’s up?

He answers the phone and puts it on speaker.

It’s a woman.

She’s crying.

“Why won’t you talk to me!

Why are you being like this!” He hangs up the phone.

Immediately it starts ringing.

I remember this clear as day.

I told him, “Dude, she’s probably just crazy.

Just ignore it.” He answers it, and puts it on speaker.

The woman yells into the phone, “I’M NOT CRAZY!!” then hangs up.

She didn’t call back.

— The medium who shit on my kitchen floor This is 100% true.

I don’t care if nobody believes me because I have two witnesses: my mom and the woman who literally shit on my kitchen floor.

I’m F23 now, but this happened when I was in the fourth grade.

For context, paranormal stuff wasn’t exactly new to me.

Before this happened, I’d already had a bunch of experiences from when i lived at my grandma’s house.

I had an “imaginary friend”, except I don’t actually remember having one.

My cousins do.

They tell me stories about how I used to make them play games with this “friend” and how it terrified them.

But I seriously have no memory of it.

I also remember my dolls moving their heads, seeing shadows, and one especially weird incident where my dead grandpa’s favorite song started playing on our laptop.

With his ashes sitting on the shelf directly above it.

(As a child this genuinely freaked me out 😂) We then moved to this apartment, leaving my grandma’s house.

My mom was a single mom, so it was now just the two of us.

We lived on the third floor of an apartment complex.

The apartment directly underneath us sat empty the entire time we lived there, which probably doesn’t mean anything, but as a kid it always creeped me out.

I never really “hated” that apartment.

But it definitely creeped me out a little.

I was mainly only scared to be in my room.

At night I would see these white floating blobs drifting across my ceiling.

I know how that sounds.

I’m just telling you what I saw.

I was so scared that I regularly would run out of my room and slept with my mom.

Then one night my mom got fed up with me stealing half the bed and went to go sleep in mine.

That’s when SHE saw the white blobs floating around my ceiling.

After that, she contacted a woman that my aunt knew.

Some spiritual healer, medium, energy reader, whatever you want to call her.

I genuinely have no clue what or who she was lol.

And mind you, before she ever came over, the woman told my mom not to tell her anything about what I had experienced.

She wanted to walk in blind.

Now here’s the part that sticks with me most.

A few weeks before this woman came over, I was having a sleepover with my friends, let’s call them (M11)Jack and (F11)Jill for privacy purposes, who were twins.

I was really only friends with Jill, but Jack always had to come with because they weren’t allowed to go anywhere without each other.

😒 The three of us were sleeping on my bedroom floor.

Our heads were against the wall, with us facing my room.

Jill was in the middle.

Jack was closest to the door.

I was closest to the wall with the window.

I woke up in the middle of the night and opened my eyes.

Standing in my doorway was a woman.

Not a shadow.

No, not sleep paralysis.

A woman.

She looked Hispanic or possibly Native American.

She was wearing clothes that, looked almost like pilgrim clothing.

The thing I remember most is that she was making direct eye contact with me.

She slowly walked from my bedroom doorway all the way across my room towards the window just staring at me.

I remember being completely frozen.

After watching her walk across my room, I squeezed my eyes shut, opened them again, and she was gone.

Fast forward to the day the spiritual woman came over.

She’s walking through the apartment, going through the entire apartment saging everywhere, talking about energy, doing her thing.

Eventually we all end up sitting on the kitchen floor.

Just me, my mom, and this woman.

We’re sitting there talking when suddenly the room starts smelling absolutely horrific.

Like literally just out of nowhere.

And then this woman suddenly jumps up.

She’s literally clutching her butt.

And sitting on my kitchen floor is a puddle of liquid shit.

I wish I was making this up.

This grown woman had just shit directly onto my kitchen floor.

She immediately takes off running to my bathroom while my poor mom is cleaning up human diarrhea from the kitchen floor.

Meanwhile I’m sitting there as a ten year old trying to understand how our night just somehow turned into this.

A few minutes later the woman comes out of the bathroom looking completely panicked.

And she says, “I saw it.” According to her, while she was in the bathroom she saw the entity that had been attached to me.

I honestly don’t remember everything she said after that because I was still stuck on the fact that she had literally shit on our kitchen floor.

But I do remember one thing clearly.

She told my mom that there was also a large cat protecting me, a black panther.

My mom immediately knew and said somewhere along the lines of “That makes sense.

I’ve always prayed for a black panther to watch over and protect her.” There was absolutely no way this woman had any way of knowing that.

To this day I don’t know what happened in that apartment.

I don’t know who I saw in my bedroom.

I don’t know what the woman saw in the bathroom.

I don’t know why my mom and I both saw strange white floating blobs in my room.

What I DO know is that I’m now 23 years old, I have a black panther tattooed on my arm that I got when I was 17, and I’ve never once regretted it.

Maybe it sounds ridiculous.

Maybe it is ridiculous.

But whenever life gets hard, or even if i need a good laugh, I still think about this moment.

Because what the hell was that?!

😂 seriously.

What the fuck.

And now I have this black panther tattoo ( and btw it looks absolutely amazing and the artist nailed it with all the details ) and I have random people always ask me why I got this tattoo, because its not like its hidden.

It’s right there on my arm.

And I have to go “oh well its a long story, but basically its my spiritual guardian” because nobody is going to believe the entire story behind it 💀 — My Family Witnessed a Strange Funeral Procession Outside Our Home in Nicaragua **CASE FILE #001 —Ghost** **The Procession Outside the Window** Location: Nicaragua Time: Approximately 2:00 AM Witnesses: Multiple family members Status: Open Investigation Years ago, something happened to my family in Nicaragua that nobody has ever been able to explain.

The family home was located directly between a Catholic church and a cemetery in a small town where electrical power was limited at night.

Streets were often extremely dark after midnight, with very little outside movement.

Around 2 AM, everyone inside the house woke up after hearing what sounded like a procession moving through the street outside.

At first it sounded distant: slow footsteps soft voices movement in large numbers But it kept getting closer.

Family members described it almost like a funeral procession traveling through the darkness starting at the Catholic Church making its way to the cemetery.

Everyone in the home heard it and they realized there were MANY people moving together down the road.

Then something stranger appeared.

Among the procession was what my family described as a car that did not seem to move normally.

Instead of driving like a regular vehicle, it appeared to glide or float silently through the darkness.

No loud engine.

No bright headlights.

Just movement.

My grandmother eventually opened the window slightly to see what was happening.

The moment she did, one woman from the procession immediately stopped and turned toward the house — almost as if she had heard the window open.

According to my grandmother, the woman walked directly toward her.

She was dressed entirely in black and wore a dark veil over her face.

The woman held out a lit candle and calmly told my grandmother to come join them.

My grandmother immediately felt something was wrong and shut the window.

But before stepping away, she noticed something disturbing about the candle itself.

Inside the wax appeared to be bone fragments.

Nobody opened the window again after that.

Eventually the sounds of the procession faded into the distance, and by morning the street outside looked completely normal.

What makes this story difficult to explain is: multiple witnesses heard the procession the home sat between a church and cemetery the woman reacted instantly to the window opening and similar stories seem to exist throughout parts of Latin America involving nighttime funeral processions, veiled women, and spirits asking people to “join them.” PIB is currently trying to investigate whether stories like this connect to older folklore, regional paranormal legends, or religious urban myths that may have existed in Nicaragua and neighboring countries for generations.

We’re especially looking for: similar procession stories “woman in black” encounters stories involving candles, bones, or funeral spirits legends tied to churches or cemeteries accounts from Latin America or rural towns with limited electricity If anyone has heard stories similar to this — especially from older family members — we want to document them.

— The Doll in Grandma Ethel’s Room # TW: REAL DOLL STORY!!!

_________________________________ Okay… here goes.

I want to preface this story by saying that not only have I never written a story of a paranormal account – I have also never told anybody about this incident.

This is a **REAL STORY** that happened to me.

I put this on the lives of everyone I know and love that all of this is true and is a personal account of mine.

At the time of this encounter, I was 10 years old.

I am now 21(M) years old.

When my parents divorced in 2011, I was 6 years old.

My father stayed in Nashville whilst my mother, sister and I moved back to Minnesota to live with family..

needless to say, it took my father quite some time to really get his shit together.

Decades of on and off alcoholism, painkillers, the whole nine yards.

He’s doing amazing now, and I love him to death.

He moved back to Minnesota when I was 9 years old.

My sister and I were with Dad on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays if I remember correctly.

He stayed with his parents, both in their mid 60s living in a house that’s been passed down through generations.

Now, here’s where you’ll see what ‘*prompted’* my encounter..

My intro begs the question – **where did my sister and I sleep?** Great Grandma Ethel’s bedroom downstairs, of course.

She had passed away before I was born, and it had been preserved the exact same way she left it for a long, long time – long enough for *all of the dolls* she collected *to be in their* *same, rightful position*.

Just where she placed them.

The dolls surrounded the entire room, shoulder to shoulder.

Picture a window sill, or a ledge, that goes around the entire room above head level.

For context, the majority of her collection were Dawn Dolls & Cabbage Patch Kids – with a few exceptions.

There was ***one doll*** that stood out from the rest.

She was probably around 1.5-2ft tall.

Her standing placement was on the side of the bed, right in front of the nightstand, *right* beside where my head hits the pillow.

For reference, my sister was always on the inside of the bed, and behind her was nothing but a wall.

Of course I was lucky enough to have the damn aisle seat.

The doll wore a white, floral dress.

She was always facing the door, which was relatively the same way we were facing except she was aimed slightly towards the right.

Her face, which I couldn’t see from the top of the bed, facing the door.

Always.

For the first couple weeks or so sleeping in there, of course my sister & I were a bit afraid (as any 9-year-old sleeping in a room chock full of dolls would be).

Over time, we began to settle in and see the dolls for what they were – my sweet, beloved great grandmothers collection.

During her time, it was a big deal to collect dolls.

Believing that was our only other choice besides quite literally being scared to shit every *nanosecond* we were in that room.

We slept in there for months.

Nothing out of the ordinary that I recall.

We eventually settled in for the most part.

Until that changed.

It was during the fall season when this happened.

In Minnesota, that means freezing temps and grey skies.

Not fun.

My sister & I had a long day at school, rode the bus to Dad’s, played some NHL and Madden with him, and then went to bed.

Any other night, right?

No.

Far from it.

I remember having a hard time falling asleep – my sister & I were tossing and turning, and we debated waking up Dad to see if he had any melatonin or sleepy time tea.

We decided not to, and eventually we fell asleep.

I woke up in the middle of the night.

I felt fully conscious instantly and adrenaline was coursing through my veins like an F1 race.

I was beating sweat and felt *wrong*.

I can’t put it any other way.

I felt *wrong*.

Something was severely off.

Like any person who woke up terrified & dripping sweat, I turn to look at the room.

The doll.

The doll.

**THE FUCKING DOLL**.

The doll’s head was now facing me, with an unmoving and dead gaze.

I can’t describe the position of her head to a T, but what I do know is that it could not have been more perfectly aligned with my face.

It had completely cocked its head all the way to the left overnight.

The weirdest part about all of this?

I didn’t even panic.

I don’t know why, I really don’t.

Of course I felt immense fear in the moment, but after maybe 30 seconds, all I did was put her into the closet, shut the door, and go back to sleep.

I didn’t want to scare my sister as she is very impressionable.

And….

that’s it.

That’s the story.

The doll never left the closet, and I never dared to open it.

To those of you that think this was a prank that perhaps my father, sister, or grandparents pulled on me, it was not.

My father was performing a gig in Iowa and my grandparents went with him – it was our duty to catch the bus in the morning.

The other debunk – my sister is not even remotely the type to pull something like that.

Just the thought of telling her this story, even now, makes me feel immense guilt and shame, knowing she’d be both furious I didn’t tell her and scared shitless.

I did not look into how Grandma Ethel died, or anything else on the matter.

It is buried into the depths of my mind.

Does anybody know what paranormal spirit/ghost/the likes may have caused this?

— My father is working out of state.

But last night, he was at our front door.

This is a very recent haunting that happened to me, and the story still haunts me.

My father had to leave our hometown and shift to another state for work; I and other family members had to stay behind for my studies.

He will be there for at least the upcoming 2 months because of work.

My father always came late, like anywhere around 11am to 2am, and I was always the one to open the door because my room is located closest to the outer door, so after 3 days, he left for work.

I was woken up by the ring of a bell.

Now, after years of getting up and opening the door for my dad, it’s like a muscle memory for me, so I get up from my bed and go to the door still half asleep.

We have 2 doors like most of the houses; one is a thick 6 cm door fully made of wood, and one is a thin outer door made of metal.

I unlocked the wooden door and checked for my father.

As usual, I saw him in work clothes but was not able to see his face; it was completely black.

After seeing that, I suddenly remembered that he was not supposed to be back for another 2 months, and I didn’t unlock the second metal door and quickly shut the wooden one, and when I started locking it, I heard a very strong screeching sound from the outside; it was enough to send chills down my spine and also gave me goosebumps.

After that, when I checked the time, it was around 11:40, which was a pretty usual time for my father to get back from work, but that was not him.

I called my friends to ask for help because I knew that my family would tell me that I am full of shit; tbh, they said the same as well.

The chances of this happening are very low because I have heard and seen stories that doppelgänger sightings are usually in heavy vegetation areas, farmlands, etc., but I live in a society with approx 700 flats and at least 2k people, and the nearest forest is 5 km/3 miles, and I also live on the 5th floor.

It would be helpful if I could get some more clarity on this.

— I wrote this to send into a podcast I wanna put it here in case it never sees the light of day enjoy my story Hi I’m Jay she/her and I give you full permission to share my name and story.

I’m not sure why but I’ve been so shy to send in anything, but I think it’s about time I take the leap and do it.

Before I get into the real meat of the story I need to deep dive into my childhood trauma for the rest of this to make sense.

So here’s a bit of a content warning for you before I start.

Growing up my neighbor/best friend (she was 8 I was 10 at the time) was devastatingly Murdered by her step father.

He was a disgusting man who had killed her, her mother, and Baby sister then finally himself.

Since then my neighborhood has not been the same, though the energy has always been off and this wasn’t the only tragedy but that’s another story.

It’s important to note I live in the same house that I have lived in for 25 years now, the same house where only 2 doors down from me the tragedy happened.

The next thing that’s important to get into is I have a fairly big back yard one fully fenced in by a privacy fence.

There are three ways to get into my yard 2 normal gates both with secure latches on the inside these gates are on the far side of the yard then one double door large entrance that locks using a post that goes into the ground and a lock as well again on the INSIDE of my yard.

My girlfriend now turned fiancé and I live in the house together, our old bedroom used to be on the first floor in a room where one window faced my backyard and another window that was facing the double door part of my fence.

One night trying to sleep probably pushing 1am we had heard fidgeting from outside then a large bang of the double doors being swung open, Both of us froze and jumped up because how and why would they be anyone opening in the middle of the night.

Not to mention again the pole that locked into the ground was on the inside of my yard not outside.

In a panic that someone was breaking in I peaked out the window facing the double doors which conveniently and also horrifyingly was behind our heads, and nothing.

The doors were shut but it was definitely the sound of double doors even the creek of them.

Somewhat in a panic now I got up to check the other window that was facing the rest of my yard.

And to my horror saw is what I can only describe as a blacked out full silhouette of a man just walking.

I couldn’t see a face I couldn’t see any details and then he just disappeared, like he was walking and faded into nothing.

I don’t know what came over me but at that moment I had a horrible feeling, the feeling that this figure was the man who had killed my friend, I’ve always had a sick feeling he never left.

At this time I had no evidence to back it up and my neighborhood being FILLED with ghosts and spirits really it could’ve been anything.

Something in me though knew it was him maybe it was the energy, the fear, the anger but I knew.

Nothing else did happen the rest of that night my fiancé calmed me down and I went to bed.

The next morning is where it gets weirder, a little more background to me is I used to be what some may consider a micro celebrity online?

Nothing crazy enough to where I hid my real name online just as a precaution.

The friends that met me at that time through social media knew me by that chosen name.

From them I didn’t keep my real name hidden but many chose to continue to use my “internet name” which I was more than fine with.

A friend of mine who I talked to daily at the time, who I’d consider to be very in touch spiritually texted me our typically good morning.

I didn’t tell them yet about my night but they started telling me a weird dream they had the night prior.

It was about a young girl with brown hair (which fits my friend’s description) she just kept saying over and over tell Jay it’s okay tell Jay it is all okay.

My heart stopped the second I read that, my friend went on to say how confused they were because they don’t know who that is or maybe it meant something else.

At that point I had to stop them and remind them my real name was Jay.

It felt almost instant that they realized what had happened and WHO it was, as this trauma is a bit part of my life even in my adult years.

Finally I was able to explain my night and we had come to two conclusions either 1 she knew I was scared she knew I thought it was him and she wanted to tell me I was safe and it wasn’t, or 2 it was him but she protected me from him and whatever negativity was or could’ve come my way that night.

For whatever reason she couldn’t tell me personally, That seems to be a theme with her.

In 2010 day it happened originally when I was a kid we spent the whole day riding bikes and making bracelets, My dad even cooked dinner for us to eat together.

After she went home and the rest of that night unfolded in tragedy, a night after my dad had dream about her.

In the dream she came to him and said thank you for dinner that night and thank you for letting me be friends with your daughter.

And that will live with me forever.

Thank you for listening to my story I know it was a bit of a sad one hopefully with a semi sweet ending.

I have so many more stories surrounding her, surrounding my neighborhood, even surrounding a creepy haunted museum I used to work at.

I’ll definitely be sending in more in the future thank you for giving me a space to share my creepy stories.

— The man in the rocking chair When I was around 10 years old, my mam took me to a charity shop and there was this white rocking chair that, for some reason, I just had to have.

I know…

creepy, right?!

😂 At the time I didn’t think rocking chairs were creepy at all, I was only 10!

My mam bought it for me and I was so happy.

My mam and dad put it in my bedroom and I’d sit rocking in it every day.

My brother wanted it too, but I’d asked for it first haha.

A few weeks later, I went to bed.

At that age I was scared of the dark, so I always made sure the landing light was left on and my bedroom door was open so a bit of light came into the room.

You could still see around my bedroom even with the light off.

During the night, I woke up and heard the rocking chair creaking/rocking.

I was facing the wall, so I assumed it was my brother because he liked sitting in it too.

I remember saying, “Sam, get out my room, I’m trying to sleep.” There was no response.

The chair just kept rocking and creaking.

I turned over and instantly froze.

There was a man in the chair, but he didn’t have a body.

It was just a head.

He had dark brown hair, brown eyes, and he was staring straight at me.

I’ve never been so scared in my life.

I wanted to scream for my mam and dad but I couldn’t.

It felt like my body wouldn’t let me move or make a sound.

I just lay there staring at him with the duvet pulled up over my mouth while he stared back at me.

In my head, I started counting down from 10 to 1.

I told myself that when I got to 1, I’d pull the pillow over my head so I didn’t have to look at him anymore.

I got to 1 and couldn’t do it.

So I started again.

And again.

And again.

I must have counted down from 10 to 1 over a hundred times before I finally worked up the courage to pull the pillow over my head and squeeze my eyes shut.

I never looked back at the chair again that night.

Eventually I fell asleep, but I remember waking up the next morning feeling really strange.

It’s hard to explain, but I just didn’t feel like myself that day.

I told my parents what had happened and they ended up taking the rocking chair out of my room.

Honestly, it scared the shit outta me.

The weirdest part came years later.

I was at my nanna’s house and we were looking through old family photos.

We didn’t go there very often, so I’d never really looked through them before.

I picked up one photo and immediately felt my stomach drop.

It was him.

The same dark hair.

The same eyes.

The same face.

I asked who the man in the photo was.

It was my grandad.

I’d never met him and had never even seen a picture of him before.

He died when my mam was 14 years old after taking his own life.

I never looked through those photos again.

To this day, I don’t know what I saw that night.

What I’ve always found strange is that whatever I saw didn’t have a body.

It was just a head.

Years later, when I saw that photograph of my grandad for the first time, the resemblance was what shocked me most.

Has anyone else ever experienced anything similar?

Have you ever seen what looked like a person or ghost, but only part of them rather than a full figure?

I’ve heard stories of shadow people and full apparitions, but I’ve never heard many people describe seeing just a head.

I’d genuinely be interested to hear other people’s experiences or theories..
