The highest peak of the Raizen Mountain Range, Mount Tensei.
This was the dwelling place of the legendary Pokémon Ho Oh, and also the territory of Ho Oh’s three legendary beast.
Most of the time, however, they traveled across the land.
Only when certain special circumstances arose would they gather at Mount Tensei.
Of course, there was one particular Pokémon who was an exception.
With Atlas on its back, Entei steadily climbed upward along the rugged and uneven mountain path.
It lifted its head and looked toward the summit, yet it did not sense the aura of Lord Ho Oh anywhere nearby.
That meant Lord Ho Oh was not currently at Mount Tensei.
Most likely, he had gone traveling once again.
Entei withdrew its gaze and glanced back, discovering that the little one had already fallen asleep on its back.
Perhaps this is simply the nature of human infants, Entei thought.
At such a young age, they need plenty of sleep to grow.
It walked slowly and steadily.
Before long, it reached the mountainside of Mount Tensei, where there was an uninhabited and spacious cave that could shelter the little one from wind and rain.
The cave was neither too large nor too small.
Inside, it was dry, warm, and quite comfortable.
Entei found a suitable spot and gently lowered its body, intending to let the little one slide down from its back.
Its movements were extremely careful, as if it did not wish to wake Atlas.
Even so, as Entei shifted, Atlas stirred and slowly opened his eyes.
‘Home?’
He rubbed his sleepy eyes and looked around, only to realize that Entei had brought him into a cave.
The interior was very open.
Aside from a few scattered stones, there was almost nothing inside.
‘Is this Entei’s home?’
Atlas looked around with curiosity.
“Little one, this is where we will live from now on.”
As if sensing his emotions, Entei’s voice sounded within Atlas’s mind.
Atlas immediately turned his head to look at it.
“This is Mount Tensei,” Entei continued through telepathy.
“It is the stronghold of Lord Ho Oh and myself. From today onward, it is also your home.”
Although the little one could not yet speak, Entei was certain that he could understand.
Sure enough, as those words settled, a look of shock appeared on Atlas’s face.
Mount Tensei.
The main stage of the movie The Power of Us, where Ash and Pikachu would undergo the trial to become the Rainbow Hero.
At that moment, Atlas suddenly understood everything.
No wonder they had encountered Raikou earlier.
This was the territory of the three legendary beasts and Ho Oh.
Did that mean he might have the chance to meet Suicune, Marshadow, and even Ho Oh himself in the future?
Seeing that Atlas was awake, Entei estimated based on their habits over the past few days that the little one was probably hungry again.
It immediately stood up.
“I will go find you some food. Stay here and do not wander,” it instructed.
Mount Tensei was their territory.
There was no danger here.
It was completely safe.
After speaking, Entei turned and swiftly left the cave.
Atlas felt conflicted.
A Pokémon wanting to be his father still sounded strange no matter how he thought about it, even though Entei treated him very well.
But given the current situation, the only one he could rely on seemed to be Entei.
No, not only Entei.
With a thought, a translucent panel slowly unfolded before his eyes.
On it were numerous items that could be exchanged using shock points.
From basic food and water, to clothes and bedding, to trainer supplies such as Poké Balls and potions, even Rare Candies that could help Pokémon increase their strength were listed as basic goods.
What attracted Atlas the most was the Dream Home Builder function.
If he accumulated enough shock points, he could transform this cave into a proper home in an instant.
For example, he could first exchange for Secret Power to hollow out the mountain and convert the cave into a secret base.
Next, he could use Spatial Technology to compress space and expand the interior area of the base.
Finally, according to his own preferences, he could exchange wallpaper and furniture to decorate it.
There was even a piece of advanced technology in the shop called a Large Spatial Ecological Park.
[Large Spatial Ecological Park: Developed using Palkia’s power over space, it is an independent dimension equipped with an artificial sun, climate simulation, terrain adjustment, seasonal changes, and other functions sufficient to meet all daily needs of Pokémon.]
Atlas was deeply tempted.
If he had that, would he not be able to bring home every Pokémon he liked and raise them together?
Unfortunately, exchanging these functions required an enormous number of shock points.
At present, he had only ten shock points in total, enough for merely two bottles of Moomoo Milk.
Before he grew up, it seemed he would still have to rely on Entei.
For now, he could only take things one step at a time.
At that moment, Entei returned to the cave carrying several round berries in its mouth.
It walked over to Atlas and placed the berries before him.
Then it quietly circled behind him, lying down to serve as his cushion and using its body heat to keep him warm.
Atlas had been eating berries continuously for nearly a week.
He was almost numb from it.
Fortunately, the humans of the Pokémon world possessed unique constitutions, and berries contained sufficient nutrients to meet daily needs.
Otherwise, Entei might have unintentionally raised him to death by now.
Looking at the array of delicious foods displayed in the system shop, Atlas, who had been surviving on nothing but berries for a week, could no longer endure his craving.
He decisively spent five shock points to exchange for a bottle of Moomoo Milk.
In the next instant, a can of Moomoo Milk appeared out of thin air before him.
At the sight of this sudden phenomenon, Entei froze briefly, then immediately became alert.
[Entei is extremely shocked by the Moomoo Milk that appeared out of nowhere. Where did this come from?]
[Is this the little one’s power? Shock points from Entei +10.]
Oh.
An unexpected gain.
Atlas’s eyes lit up as he received the notification just after picking up the milk bottle.
Seeing the little one happily drinking the milk with a satisfied expression on his face, Entei’s tense posture gradually relaxed.
As expected, this thing was related to the little one.
What Entei had not anticipated was that such a power existed within him.
For a moment, it did not know how to respond.
Just then, Entei suddenly noticed another bottle of milky white liquid appear beside Atlas.
The little one held the bottle with both hands and eagerly offered it toward Entei, as if it had been prepared especially for him.
Entei was momentarily stunned.
It shook its head and communicated through telepathy.
“I do not need it. Keep it for yourself.”
This thing looked so precious.
Would it not be a waste for it to drink it?
More importantly, because it was so precious, Entei simply could not bear to drink it.
