However, Atlas did not care about what Entei was thinking.

That was simply the kind of person he was.

Whoever treated him well, he would treat them well in return.Full novel: Pokémon: Child of the Volcano — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

What was more, these shock points had originally been obtained from Entei in the first place.

It was only right that he shared the MooMoo Milk with Entei.

So Atlas crawled up beside Entei’s enormous head, frowned slightly, raised the bottle of MooMoo Milk, and tried to shove it into Entei’s mouth.

“Ee-yaa!” (Drink it!)

Entei: “…”

Although it could not understand the little one’s words, Entei could clearly sense that if it refused, the little one would definitely get angry.

This was the little one’s heartfelt intention.

A feeling Entei had never experienced before suddenly surged within its heart.

Its efforts had not been in vain.

The little one had already regarded it as family.

The old father felt both happy and gratified.

After filling his belly, Atlas quickly felt a wave of drowsiness rushing over him.

Most babies are like this during infancy.

Aside from eating, they spend most of their time asleep.

It means they are growing.

Out of habit, Atlas snuggled into Entei’s warm embrace.

Before long, he drifted off into a deep sleep.

Seeing this, Entei frowned slightly.

It could clearly sense that the little one’s mental state seemed somewhat fatigued.

Is it because he used his ‘Power’?

Entei thought.

In this world, using any kind of power comes with consumption.

When they use moves, they consume the energy within their bodies.

Even Lord Ho-Oh is no exception.

The little one was still young and likely had not fully mastered his own abilities.

He had just used his power and immediately fallen asleep afterward.

This was not good.

Although the milk was delicious, for the sake of the little one’s health, Entei decided that in the future it must try its best to prevent him from using his abilities again.

In reality, however, Atlas was simply full and sleepy.

Entei knew nothing about that.

It lowered its head to look at the little one resting against its foreleg, then extended its tongue and used its secret move, Big Cat Lick.

Suddenly, Entei’s movement paused.

It abruptly raised its head and looked toward a shadow in the corner of the cave.

At some unknown moment, a small and delicate figure had appeared there.

It was a humanoid Pokémon.

The area around its face resembled a helmet, and at the top of the helmet grew two small curved horns.

It had appeared silently, its orange red eyes gazing faintly at Entei and Atlas in its arms.

“Marshadow,” Entei spoke in a dignified voice.

“What brings you here?”

Marshadow’s gaze was distant.

Its voice sounded like that of a child, yet devoid of vitality.

“You have brought a human to Mount Tensei. He carries no aura of Lord Ho-Oh, nor is he the Rainbow Hero chosen by Lord Ho-Oh.”

Marshadow’s eyes slowly shifted from the human infant to Entei.

“Entei, this breaks the rules.”

“…”

Entei was silent for a moment before saying, “Regarding this matter, I will personally report it to Lord Ho-Oh.”

Upon hearing this, Marshadow did not continue speaking.

It had come today only because it sensed an unfamiliar presence on Mount Tensei and intended to investigate.

It had not expected to see a human infant here.

Marshadow cast one more faint glance at the child.

Then its body slowly sank downward until it disappeared into the shadows.

Humans… how detestable.

Returning to the shadow world, Marshadow closed its eyes.

In its mind surfaced the scenes it had witnessed within the dreams of those humans who had participated in the trial of the Rainbow Hero.

All kinds of desire, greed, and wicked thoughts.

Every human, every Rainbow Hero, had been like this.

Marshadow had experienced too much.

Toward humanity, it no longer held any expectations.

…

Atlas slept for a very, very long time.

It was not until evening that he finally opened his eyes.

Entei lay beside him like a statue.

When it saw him awaken, the majestic great cat immediately turned its gaze toward him.

Atlas rubbed his eyes.

Outside, it was already dusk.

The sun was about to set, and a dim golden light spread across the entire mountain peak.

Seeing Atlas looking outside, Entei asked through telepathy, “Do you want to go out and take a look?”

“Yiya?” (Can I?)

Atlas quickly turned his head toward Entei.

Entei slowly rose to its feet, picked up the little one gently in its mouth, tossed him onto its back, then stepped forward on its sturdy limbs and walked out of the cave.

Outside the cave was a scene of tranquility and harmony.

Above them stretched a sky full of orange evening clouds. This chapter is updated first at g.com.

The soft glow bathed the mountains.

Wherever the sunset light reached, many Pokémon wandered leisurely through the forested hills.

Rhydon, Magmar, Weezing, Nidoking, Nidoqueen…

Within the kingdom of Ho-Oh, these Pokémon of different species and different types lived lived together peacefully.

This place was rarely touched by human footsteps.

There were only Pokémon here.

“Uwaa!” (How magnificent!)

Gazing at the scene, Atlas could not help but exclaim.

The Pokémon world was truly wonderful!

But very soon, a gust of cold wind swept over him, blowing away the excitement in his heart.

So cold!

“Ah-choo!” Atlas sneezed.

Entei immediately carried him back into the cave.

It mobilized the power within its body, radiating scorching heat.

In no time, the entire cave became as warm as if a fireplace had been lit.

Only then did Atlas let out a long breath.

Sure enough, during the cold season, having a Fire type Pokémon around was the best.

But then he remembered something very important.

It was already late autumn.

Winter would arrive before long.

When that time came, temperatures would plummet, heavy snow would fall, and the entire mountain range where Mount Tensei stood would likely turn into a world of white.

With Entei around, Atlas was not too worried about freezing to death.

What concerned him was the food supply.

Food would be scarce in winter.

Even the berries that grew everywhere might not be as easy to find as they were now.

As a Legendary Pokémon, Entei and the others did not need to eat on a daily basis.

Meanwhile, Atlas’s shock points were currently limited and could not support an entire winter’s worth of food.

Thinking of this, Atlas turned to Entei and tried to communicate, attempting to explain the matter.

“Yiyi yaya!”

Entei looked at him, seemingly unable to understand what he was saying.

Atlas suddenly felt discouraged.

Sigh… I am still too young.

If he were already ten years old, things would not be this embarrassing.

With his cheat ability, if Entei cooperated, the two of them could take a trip to a human town and challenge those novice trainers who had just begun their journeys to Pokémon battles.

After one round, they could easily earn hundreds or even thousands of shock points.
