After quickly washing the dishes, Kain went alone to the orchard inside the manor.

“These fruit trees really grow in such bizarre shapes, and they come in all sorts of colors.”

Kain also evaluated the Berries on the fruit trees; their appearance looked very much like the Berries from the world he had transmigrated from.Full novel: Pokémon: I Thought This Was A Beast-Taming World! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

But as for the colors, some looked quite acceptable, while others did not look very good at all.

There were pink cherry-like Berries—were these cherries or were they not cherries?

There were also black pear-like Berries, as well as purple banana-like Berries.

Let alone the black ones, just take the purple ones; were these Berries really not poisonous?

Looking at these, Kain didn’t even have the slightest urge to try them.

However, since the system provided them, it meant that these Berries were edible, though whether humans could eat them was anyone’s guess.

Presumably, no one would want to try this purple Berry.

Thinking about this, Kain picked these Berries and sorted them into baskets.

These Berries were ripe and had to be picked; otherwise, the fruit trees would stop growing new Berries.

“Actually, setting aside the colors and bizarre shapes of these Berries, they actually smelled quite nice.”

Kain said with a smile.

It took two hours to pick all the Berries and move them basket by basket into the basement.

That basement had specialized boxes for storing Berries, and it seemed to be like spatial equipment in a video game, capable of holding an infinite number of Berries.

Therefore, Kain also classified the Berries, putting one type of Berry per box.

“Mm-hmm~ Let’s go see the sea.”

Kain comfortably stretched and intended to go admire the magnificent grandeur of the ocean.

When passing by the lake, Kain looked at the Magikarp swimming by the shore.

“I’m going to see the sea, do you want to come with me?”

“Puff~”

As a bubble burst, Kain saw that the Magikarp actually nodded.

“You really are spiritual, truly a Magikarp with a crown on its head. Then come with me.” Kain carried out a water tank, scooped up the Magikarp, and placed it inside the water tank.

“It’s quite heavy. Let’s go, let’s go see the sea together and let you swim in a bigger place.”

Kain picked up the box.

Not to mention, this Magikarp had gotten heavy again.

After walking just a few dozen meters, Kain had to take a rest.

After resting several times in a row, he finally arrived at the seaside.

“Sigh, carrying you here is truly exhausting. You’ve gotten heavy again.”

Kain said as he looked at the Magikarp tumbling into the sea.

However, the Magikarp simply let Kain complain.

After all, this was its Trainer, who fed it such good things every day.

A few complaints from him were nothing and wouldn’t cause any harm.

Besides, there would be delicious food waiting when it got back, and it wished it could evolve immediately so that its appetite would become even larger.

Of course, it could also protect him better.

“Alright, go play in the sea. When the time comes, I’ll call you.”

After opening the lounge chair and lying down, Kain said to the Magikarp.

“Magik~”

With a flip, the Magikarp rushed into the sea.

It was going to take revenge on the Pokémon that had bullied it before.

Its strength was no longer what it was a few days ago; it had become stronger and needed to beat up all the Pokémon that had bullied it.

Over the next while, Kain, who was sunbathing, could frequently see one creature after another being knocked out of the sea surface.

Bang!

A red fish was sent flying out of the frame, followed by an octopus-like creature, and then other fish-like creatures, getting knocked away one by one.

“Whoa, what is happening in the sea? Wait, is it alright? Will it encounter any danger?”

Kain thought of the Magikarp he had put into the sea; could it have met with some accident too?

Thinking of this, Kain walked to the shore and called out, “Little fish, are you alright?”

After calling out a few times in a row, the familiar golden figure appeared at his feet.

“Hoo~”

Kain breathed a sigh of relief.

“Good thing you’re fine, but what is that creature beside you?”

Just as Kain let out that breath, he noticed a slender creature beside the golden Magikarp, one that looked extremely cute.

“Drati~”

After being discovered by Kain, that creature wasn’t afraid at all.

Instead, it curiously poked its head out of the sea surface and looked at Kain with curiosity.

“Such a cute Little One, where did you find her?”

Kain praised the Magikarp and reached out to touch the creature in front of him.

The next second, that creature directly approached Kain’s palm.

“Is she not shy at all?”

Kain said pleasantly surprised.

This slender creature was much cuter than the golden Magikarp.

Kain gently stroked the creature’s head; it was smooth and wet.

For some reason, upon seeing this little creature, Kain found her completely irresistible and really wanted to take her home to raise.

Raising one was raising, and raising two was just the same anyway.

“Little One, are you willing to come with me? My home has lots of delicious food.”

Kain said in a tempting tone, very much like a creepy uncle.

“Drati~”

Dratini just tilted its head and looked at Kain, wondering whether it should go with him.

But its mother had said that it couldn’t just casually follow people away like this; what if it encountered a bad person?

Dratini was thinking carefully about the matter, but the Magikarp below helped it make a choice.

“Magik~”

“Drati~”

Dratini flew over to the Magikarp’s side and asked.

“Magik~ Magik~”

“Drati~ Drati~~”

Listening to what the Magikarp said, Dratini’s eyes immediately lit up with brilliant colors.

A person who gave Pokémon such delicious food probably wasn’t one of those bad people its mother talked about, right?

“Drati~”

In an instant, Dratini coiled around Kain’s arm, resting its head against Kain’s cheek and rubbing affectionately.

“You’re agreeing to it, right? That’s wonderful! Thank you, little fish. If it weren’t for you, this cute Little One might not have been willing to come with me.”

Kain thanked the Magikarp.

He had seen the way these two creatures had just communicated; this meant that the cute Little One agreeing to come had a lot to do with the Magikarp’s credit.

“Tonight I’ll give you a bit more delicious food to eat.”

Kain stroked the Magikarp’s head and praised it.

“Drati~”

“You too, you can also eat a bit more delicious food, I just don’t know what kind you like.”

Kain replied, turning his hand back to stroke Dratini’s head.

He must have some kind of attractive charm toward these creatures; otherwise, this cute Little One wouldn’t like him so much.

Time passed amidst playfulness.

As evening approached and Kain wanted to take them back to the manor, an accident occurred.

Several blue creatures with wide-open mouths suddenly attacked them frantically.

Boom!

Boom!

The attacks struck right beside Kain, almost hitting his body.

“??!!”

“How could this happen? I didn’t provoke them.”

Kain picked up the water-filled box and hurried to run back.

As long as he ran back to the manor, everything would be fine.

However, that was the best-case scenario.

The worst-case scenario was that several attacks hit the path directly ahead of Kain, startlingly creating several large holes.

Looking at the pits ahead, Kain broke out in a cold sweat.

He swore that if he survived this ordeal, he would exercise his body instead of running a few steps and resting a few steps while carrying a heavy object like he was doing now.

But he had to be able to make it back first.

Looking at the reflected shadows, an inexplicable panic arose in Kain’s heart.

Was he going to die not long after arriving here?

“Drati~”

Seeming to sense something, Dratini, coiled around Kain’s arm, flew up and began to battle the three Gyarados behind them.

“Little One!”

Just as Kain was about to say something, he witnessed such a shocking scene.

That Little One seemed to be fighting those three huge guys without falling behind at all.
