On the other side, after searching all morning, Ronan and Flabébé finally found the flower they desired—one with white petals that had elegantly curved edges.

Ronan noticed that Absol had left the hillside, but he wasn’t worried.

Once Absol finished its daily training, it would head into the surrounding forest to challenge other Pokémon.Full novel: Pokémon : Leisurely Daily Life in the Pokémon World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

It was just like a rowdy kid playing outside who would always return home on time for dinner under their parents’ “loving” watch.

Of course, Absol was clearly no rowdy child, and Ronan was no parent.

Dark-type Pokémon were notoriously prideful, and Absol was a prime example.

Yet, despite being proud and valuing strength above all else, Absol was also an incredibly reliable partner.

So, when Absol returned looking quite worse for wear, Ronan wasn’t surprised.

However, he was absolutely thrilled to learn that Absol had reached the Semi-Elite level.

Upon hearing that Absol had broken through during its battle with Venusaur, Ronan couldn’t help but feel a sense of wonder.

It seemed that high-stakes battles truly provided the greatest benefit to a Pokémon’s growth.

Although Absol didn’t require the specialized breeding methods Venusaur did, its innate Cyan-tier potential and single-stage nature meant that under Ronan’s care, its foundation was rock-solid, with a vast amount of energy stored within its body.

Otherwise, it wouldn’t have been able to support such a breakthrough.

Even so, Ronan planned to give Absol a thorough physical checkup.

He needed to ensure there were no lingering issues from the rapid advancement and to draft new training and breeding plans based on Absol’s current condition.

After finishing up with Flabébé, Ronan brought Absol back to the laboratory.

He led the Pokémon onto a machine specifically designed for examining large-sized Pokémon.

Ronan donned his white lab coat and began the examination.

As a pharmaceutical expert, he frequently researched various medicinal materials and strange plants, so his lab was packed with equipment.

Since catching Bulbasaur, he had added several pieces of Pokémon-related hardware.

This particular machine had been purchased to measure Ivysaur’s physical data after Bulbasaur evolved.

Once Absol was positioned on the measurement platform, Ronan began reviewing its data.

[SYSTEM: SPECIES: ABSOL] [SYSTEM: GENDER: MALE] [SYSTEM: POTENTIAL: CYAN] [SYSTEM: LEVEL: 60] [SYSTEM: ABILITY: PRESSURE] [SYSTEM: HELD ITEM: KING’S ROCK] [SYSTEM: MOVES: LEER, CRUNCH, THROAT CHOP, DARK PULSE, PSYCHO CUT, SWORDS DANCE, FUTURE SIGHT, SUCKER PUNCH, QUICK ATTACK, SNARL, NIGHT SLASH, SLASH, GIGA IMPACT, SHADOW CLAW, FOCUS ENERGY] [SYSTEM: EGG MOVES: PERISH SONG, FUTURE SIGHT] [SYSTEM: TMS: STONE EDGE, ROCK SLIDE] Absol’s level had risen to 60, though its move set hadn’t changed much.

Standing 2.2 meters tall and weighing 90 kg, Absol might undergo another growth spurt following its breakthrough.

Ronan’s Absol was already larger than others of its kind; if it grew any more, it would truly become a behemoth.

In fact, all of Ronan’s Pokémon were significantly larger than average.

Both Venusaur and Absol shared this massive stature, and even the unevolved Murkrow was noticeably bigger than its peers.

Perhaps once Murkrow evolved, Ronan wouldn’t even need to look for another flying mount.

After finishing the measurements, Ronan began brainstorming training methods.

Absol’s base Attack stat reached 130.

Although its base Speed in the Pokédex was an awkward 75, this wasn’t a game.

With its robust physique, Absol’s improvements weren’t limited to raw power; its speed had also increased significantly.

During its development, Ronan had consistently fed Absol potions to enhance its physical condition, making its body increasingly sturdy.

By adding Salac Berries and Roseli Berries to its Pokéblocks, he had boosted both its speed and its resistance to Fairy-type moves.

Although the League hadn’t officially discovered the Fairy type yet and the Kalos region hadn’t joined the League, Ronan already possessed a Key Stone and a Mega Stone.

This was all thanks to the system.

Despite having only two functions, it provided Ronan with immense benefits.

Regarding moves, Ronan planned to select a few long-range options.

Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, and Shadow Ball were all solid choices.

It was a pity his Absol didn’t have the Super Luck ability; otherwise, it would have paired perfectly with Rock Slide.

Ronan didn’t want his Pokémon to be too lopsided in their development.

While Absol’s Special Attack wasn’t outstanding, dedicated training could still see it improve.

He hoped to train Absol as a mixed attacker.

This would allow for much more flexibility and tactical options during battles.

In just two short days, Ronan could only roughly organize his thoughts.

He would finalize Absol’s training plan once he had more time.

Aside from that, he also needed to direct the Pokémon to harvest the crops on the farm.

He also visited the Murkrow flock to request a Murkrow with Green-tier potential.

He intended to open up sales for Green-tier potential Pokémon once he returned to the breeding center.

Furthermore, it was time for the interviews he had scheduled with two prospective shop assistants.
