“Beldum, Tackle!” On the training ground, Adrian Sterling commanded his Beldum to attack a concrete target over two hundred meters away.

“Whoosh!” At the command, Beldum shot forward like an arrow released from a bow, streaking through the air with incredible speed.

The reinforced concrete target shattered into countless fragments the moment Beldum slammed into it.

It had been seven days since Adrian obtained Beldum, and during that time its level had increased from Level 5 to Level 6.

Beldum quickly flew back to its Trainer.

“Well done.” Adrian smiled and gently patted the little Steel-type Pokémon on the head.

Beldum happily narrowed its single eye.

Thanks to his Perfect Steel Heart, Adrian could clearly sense the joy radiating from his partner.

Pokémon were remarkably pure creatures.

As long as their Trainer genuinely cared for them, they would willingly follow any command—even one as extreme as committing murder or setting a city ablaze.

Likewise, anyone who dared threaten their Trainer would immediately become the target of their unrelenting fury.

— The Sterling Family specialized in Steel-type Pokémon, with Metagross, Aggron, and Steelix serving as their signature partners.

As a result, Adrian trained his Beldum using methods that had been refined and perfected by the family over thousands of years.

Many people underestimated Steel-types because they lacked wide offensive coverage.

However, their defensive capabilities were second to none.

Steel-type Pokémon resisted eleven different types, were completely immune to Poison-type attacks, and were weak to only Fire, Fighting, and Ground.

Pure Steel-types possessed some of the strongest defenses in the Pokémon world.

Some critics dismissed them as nothing more than indestructible walls with mediocre offense.

But combinations such as Steel/Fire, Steel/Water, or Steel/Grass proved just how devastating Steel-types could become.

With Steel as your foundation, your journey as a Trainer became significantly more stable than most others.

— “Come on.

Time to eat.” Adrian reached into his pocket and produced a palm-sized magnet.

For Beldum, magnets weren’t ordinary objects.

They restored the magnetic energy it consumed during training, and long-term use steadily increased its magnetic reserves.

Beldum’s body contained no blood.

Magnetism itself was the source of its life.

Although the magnet fit comfortably in the palm of his hand, the magnetic energy stored inside was incredibly pure.

Each one cost ₹1,50,000 Daxia Coins.

Beldum consumed three magnets every day, and as it grew stronger, that number would only continue to rise.

And that didn’t even include its daily energy blocks.

— Instead of using the premium energy blocks supplied by the Sterling Family, Adrian purchased exclusive Beldum Energy Blocks from the System Shop.

He had already conducted a simple experiment.

When both the family’s energy blocks and the System Shop’s exclusive version were placed before Beldum, it chose the System product without even a moment’s hesitation.

It wasn’t that the family’s products were poor.

The System’s version was simply superior.

Each serving cost 50 System Points.

Definitely not cheap.

The System’s product description was surprisingly simple.

Beldum Exclusive Energy Block “Just eat and grow stronger.

Why aren’t you buying more?” Even the review sounded shameless.

— Adrian earned System Points by completing the daily missions, which refreshed every morning at 8:00 AM.

Over the past seven days, he had completed seven different missions.

Not a single one had repeated.

Some of them were unbelievably bizarre.

Yesterday’s mission had required him to sit on the toilet continuously for an entire hour.

By the time he finished, he genuinely thought he had developed hemorrhoids.

Fortunately, the rewards were worthwhile.

Each mission usually awarded between 100 and 200 System Points.

Aside from points, however, no additional rewards had appeared after the first day.

His very first mission had granted him 100 Points along with +1 Physique.

Since then…

Nothing.

Adrian guessed that the first mission had included a special beginner bonus.

Future rewards would likely be much rarer.

— “Alright.” “Let’s continue.” Adrian pointed toward the remaining training targets.

Hundreds of concrete targets still stood across the massive training field.

Today’s goal was simple.

Destroy every single one.

— Before evolving into Metang, Beldum naturally learned only one offensive move: Tackle.

Fortunately, it could also master powerful techniques such as Take Down, Iron Head, Steel Beam, and Zen Headbutt through Technical Machines.

That solved Beldum’s greatest weakness—its lack of offensive options.

After all…

If it relied solely on Tackle, a Ghost-type Pokémon would completely shut it down.

Even so, Adrian had no intention of teaching those moves yet.

Beldum’s current body lacked the control needed to use such advanced techniques.

Forcing it could easily result in self-inflicted injuries.

Right now…

This was the most important stage of its development.

Its foundation had to be perfect.

Repeatedly smashing into specially designed concrete targets strengthened both Tackle and Beldum’s physical body.

These weren’t ordinary blocks of concrete.

Each one had been custom-made according to Beldum’s current strength.

Too hard, and Beldum would injure itself.

Too soft, and the training would become meaningless.

Only by maintaining the perfect balance could the desired training effect be achieved.

Training like this wasn’t merely about raising Pokémon.

It also required enormous wealth, experienced trainers, and a complete support system.

— More than an hour later…

Beldum finally completed its training.

Several scratches and dents covered its silver body.

Adrian didn’t apply any medicine.

Steel only became stronger after enduring countless rounds of forging.

Although seeing Beldum covered in scars made him feel a little guilty…

Showing mercy now would only hold it back in the future.

If he truly wanted to lead Beldum to the pinnacle after it evolved into Metagross, he couldn’t allow sentimentality to weaken his resolve.

Sometimes…

Kindness could do more harm than good.

— After leaving the training ground, Adrian brought Beldum to a special chamber saturated with magnetic energy.

“Go get some rest.” Beldum nodded happily before floating inside.

Adrian then returned to the family mansion.

— “Big Brother!

Are you finished training?” The moment he stepped through the front door, his younger sister, Xia Chuchu, came running over.

She immediately peeked behind him before realizing Beldum wasn’t there.

“Where’s Beldum?” “It’s resting in the magnetic chamber.” Adrian smiled.

“Why?

Did something happen?” Xia Chuchu was about to enter her first year of middle school.

Despite her young age, she was already growing into a remarkably beautiful girl.

That wasn’t surprising.

The Sterling Family had maintained its prestigious bloodline for over a thousand years.

While not everyone possessed movie-star looks, every direct family member was at least attractive.

There wasn’t an ugly person anywhere in Adrian’s immediate family.

Even their grandfather, despite being over seventy years old, looked no older than a man in his forties.

Thanks to Pokémon-related treasures and life-extending resources, the average lifespan in Xia Country had already surpassed one hundred years.

Although eternal youth remained impossible, aging could be slowed dramatically.

— “How did you know I wanted something?” Xia Chuchu blinked in surprise, her bright eyes fixed curiously on Adrian.

He chuckled.

“If you didn’t need my help, you’d still be upstairs enjoying your beauty sleep.” “It isn’t even ten o’clock yet.” “For someone who loves sleeping as much as you do, getting up this early can only mean something important.” Xia Chuchu scratched her cheek awkwardly before smiling.

“Hehe…

you know me too well.” She quickly got to the point.

“Big Brother, I’m going to the Battle Club this afternoon.” “I have a Pokémon battle with my arch-rival.” “Liu Ruyan?” Adrian asked.

“Exactly!” Xia Chuchu pouted.

“She awakened a Fairy Affinity physique not long ago, and she’s been showing it off every chance she gets.

It’s driving me crazy!”

Give me more motivation!
