Chi Yan pulled out a chair and sat down, folding her hands beneath her chin as she spoke unhurriedly, “First, I acknowledge that Chi Yan is exceptional. Second, the only one who can surpass her is me.”
Faced with the girl’s imposing presence, Principal Su found himself momentarily speechless.
Chi Yan then gestured toward Shi Yu beside her and said, “He’s just the ticket I brought along to get in.”
S University had strict gate security. For an ordinary person to visit, they either had to earn their way in through merit or go through a tedious approval process.
Chi Yan found it too troublesome, so she simply brought Shi Yu—who had dealings with Principal Su—and barged straight in. The security guards all recognized Shi Yu and didn’t dare stop them.
“Principal Su need not focus his attention on Shi Yu.”
Two stacks of books and papers sat on Principal Su’s desk. Chi Yan casually pulled out a biology exam paper and began working on it.
Principal Su was somewhat surprised. He often piled the exam papers he found most difficult at the bottom of the right stack. Back when Chi Yan was still at S University, every time he needed to find her, she would pull out a set of exam papers from his office and work on them.
Principal Su took off his reading glasses and wiped them, then said, “If you can score full marks on this paper, I’ll give you a special opportunity to enter S University.”
It was a biology exam paper. Though it only had five major questions, each one contained hidden traps. Unless someone had scored full marks in high school biology, they basically couldn’t solve them.
Chi Yan’s hands didn’t stop moving. She only looked up after finishing the questions and said, “I can get into S University with my own abilities too.”
What should have taken thirty minutes, the girl in front of him finished in five. Principal Su picked up the paper and flipped through it casually, then suddenly shot up from his chair.
In such a short time, all five questions were completely correct. The steps and methods of solving were astonishingly similar to Chi Yan’s approach—just slightly more detailed than Chi Yan’s.
Chi Yan said, “Can we talk properly now?”
Principal Su adjusted his reading glasses and asked, “What’s your purpose in desperately imitating Chi Yan like this?”
“Give me a seat for ‘Chi Yan’s’ lecture this afternoon.” Chi Yan narrowed her eyes.
“The seats for Chi Yan’s lecture are packed to the brim. You can just sit with me in the first-row teachers’ section.”
Principal Su still refused to accept this person claiming to be “Chi Yan,” but she only wanted a seat for the lecture—not a difficult request. Considering she’d solved those biology questions, he granted it.
Seeing that Principal Su had finally agreed, Chi Yan stood up, thanked him, and prepared to leave. Shi Yu followed behind her.
Chi Yan walked to the door, paused for a moment, curled the corner of her lips slightly, and glanced back at Principal Su.
Principal Su froze. The scene reminded him of the Chi Yan from before.
Dean Zhang brushed past Chi Yan in the hallway. The familiar aura made him involuntarily turn back to look.
The girl’s silhouette exuded ease and spontaneity, her skirt swaying in rhythm with her movements.
Dean Zhang walked into the principal’s office and asked, “Doesn’t the college entrance exam results come out in a few days? Did you scout out a promising student ahead of time?”
Principal Su shook his head and handed the exam paper Chi Yan had written to Dean Zhang, saying, “She just wanted a seat for ‘Chi Yan’s’ lecture. She even claimed to be Chi Yan to get it.”
Dean Zhang took the paper, examined it carefully, and said, “This is the paper you had ‘Chi Yan’ solve, isn’t it?”
Principal Su: “This is the one that girl imitated. ‘Chi Yan’ won’t arrive until this afternoon.”
Dean Zhang stared at the exam paper, a faint glimmer of light surfacing in his eyes.
