Out of ten domineering CEOs, eight have the surname Fu, seven have the surname Gu, and the rest are usually surnamed Lu, Shen, or Huo. Their given names are random combinations of words like Nian, Si, Li, Chen, and Yan.

Fu Yinli was a textbook “CEO-type male lead.”

Ruan Zhe deliberately adopted a solemn tone and handed him the divorce agreement she had prepared long ago.Full novel: Post-apocalyptic RV: The CEO and I Build a Farm — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Take a look. If there’s no problem, just sign it.”

“Why?” Fu Yinli had all the characteristics described in the novel’s CEO archetype—rich, handsome, tall, and rarely went home. Even his current expression of surprise and confusion only made him look even more striking.

According to the original plot, Fu Yinli did not love the wife arranged for him by his family, so their relationship was cold and distant, more polite than intimate.

After divorcing his wife, he would meet his destined love, followed by a series of “she runs, he chases” developments, eventually ending in a happy and fulfilling relationship.

Ruan Zhe had read many CEO novels before. This one treated the original wife relatively well—she was just a background character, not even a vicious supporting female lead. After all, those villainesses usually didn’t survive things like kidney removal, blood extraction, or forced abortions, yet still managed to end up happily with the male lead.

Once the original wife divorced Fu Yinli, she would receive a substantial settlement, and then the story would never mention her again.

That suited Ruan Zhe perfectly.

For three years, she had played the role of a silent, transparent wife. Now she repeated the novel’s phrasing while slightly adjusting it to her own intent:

“We don’t love each other, and we don’t sleep together. Over time, I can’t accept this anymore. I’m afraid of cheating in marriage, so it’s better to solve the problem at its root. It’s good for both of us.”

Alright, that had a bit of her personal emotion in it. The original line was actually: our marriage is essentially a cold exchange of interests, and when the exchange is over, the marriage should end.

But that sounded too cruel—like in these three years, they were worse than roommates. She couldn’t bring herself to say it.

Fu Yinli: “……”

“You can’t hold it in anymore?”

Huh? That wasn’t how it went in the novel. But it didn’t matter—as long as he signed it, everything would be fine. The female lead would appear soon, and she wanted to stay far away from the main characters and escape the plot.

“I can’t. Just sign it,” Ruan Zhe said, not wanting to elaborate further, afraid something would go wrong. In her mind, she was already calculating the “substantial assets” mentioned in the novel.

Anyway, her salary after deductions was 4,500, so combined with Fu Yinli’s assets, she’d still be a billionaire on average.

Fu Yinli looked at her.

She stood with her arms crossed, her usually calm face showing a hint of impatience—and a faint trace of anticipation.

He understood the impatience. But… was she really that eager to divorce?

After a long silence, Fu Yinli took out his usual fountain pen from his chest pocket, carefully looked over the agreement, and saw that she wanted nothing.

“Do we have to sign it here?”

From his angle, the view outside was slightly elevated, because they were inside the RV she had bought before their marriage—her biggest expense in three years. Normally, she didn’t even spend his money.

Ruan Zhe sat in the driver’s seat and nodded. “Sorry for the trouble.”

Their conversations had always been minimal.

“You’re in such a hurry? Everything already packed?” Fu Yinli’s pen paused over the signature line.

“Mm. Not exactly in a hurry, just planned it. I don’t really have much stuff.”

Lies. She had spent a long time preparing for this road trip, and the RV was packed full. She wouldn’t be coming back.

Fu Yinli fell silent again, looking at his quiet little wife.

Ruan Zhe was the youngest daughter of the Ruan family—well-behaved, quiet, and meticulous. Her appearance was gentle and calm.

He hadn’t planned to marry at all, but the moment he saw her, he somehow agreed. After marriage, she had been perfectly to his liking.

She was pleasant to look at—just having her around made things feel comfortable. Her usually obedient face suddenly seemed vivid and clear.

Fu Yinli… didn’t want to sign anymore.

He had assumed she was simply young, afraid, inexperienced, uninterested. But was she actually bothered by their marital relationship?

If that was the case…

The car was ready. It felt like the moment he signed, she would immediately drive away.

“Actually, we could—” Fu Yinli turned, intending to talk properly with her.

Then a deafening crash rang out. Both of them jolted violently.

Ruan Zhe looked up, still confused. The next second, the entire RV began shaking violently, bouncing as if someone were grabbing it and shaking it.

The chassis let out a piercing metallic groan. Objects inside flew up, then crashed back down.

Ruan Zhe grabbed the steering wheel and saw the most terrifying scene of her life.

The concrete ground twisted like crumpled paper, rising and collapsing in sections as cracks spread in all directions.

“An earthquake. Drive!” Fu Yinli threw aside what he was holding and shouted.

Ruan Zhe slammed the accelerator to the floor. The tires skidded, and the RV shot forward.

But the ground rose and fell like waves. After only a dozen meters, a section of road ahead suddenly lifted over a meter high.

She jerked the steering wheel hard. The vehicle tilted violently, nearly flipping.

At the same time, a residential building ahead first leaned to one side, then collapsed entirely toward the parking lot.

A massive shadow loomed overhead.

Ruan Zhe nearly cursed out loud—why was there an earthquake now?!

She had only been in this transmigration world for three years. Was she about to die already?

The next second, a pair of arms suddenly lunged from beside her, pulling her out of the driver’s seat. A body shielded her completely, pressing her head and shoulders down and holding her tightly beneath him.

The RV crashed uncontrollably into the collapsing building. A huge impact hit—

Ruan Zhe’s vision went black, and she passed out.

……

“Wake up.”

A damp sensation touched her face, and the faint smell of grass filled her nose.

She opened her eyes. Above her was a cold, strikingly handsome face.

Ruan Zhe rubbed her head and sat up. “We’re not dead?”

She had rushed out recklessly, intending to die quickly—but what she feared most was surviving halfway.

“Look,” Fu Yinli said, pulling her up.

Only then did she notice they were standing on soft green grass.

Beyond it were patches of overgrown farmland, vegetable plots, an old barn, a mud-stained tractor, a broken fence, unused beehives, and rusted milk cans.

Farther away was a small pond.

Mist hung like a thin wet veil over the greenery, and beyond that, everything disappeared into thick fog.

“This is…”

“A small farm,” Fu Yinli said. His once crisp suit was wrinkled, with dew stains on his trousers.

He coughed lightly.

“Go check the RV.”
