“What? Ten thousand points?”

The group looked as if they had heard a fairy tale. How could a tiny bloodstain be worth ten thousand points? However, seeing Su Su’s expression remain unchanged, they realized she wasn’t joking and began to believe her.

Tian Wen, who had been hiding to the side with little presence, swallowed nervously. Her gaze toward Su Su held a hint of admiration; she hadn’t expected this Boss to be even more of a swindler than she was.Full novel: Post-Apocalyptic Sea Survival: Managing a Lighthouse Resort — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Excuse me, who are you?”

Seeing that they couldn’t save Xu Qiliang, his subordinates were forced to give up and accept reality. The person with the highest status among the group besides Xu Qiliang stepped forward. Unlike Xu Qiliang, she was very humble and polite as she approached Su Su.

“The genuine boss of this hotel.”

Before Su Su could speak, Tian Wen walked up to Su Su’s side with a flattering look and introduced her first. She had originally wanted to take a chair out of her spatial storage for the Boss to sit on, but her spatial storage seemed to be disconnected and unusable. However, knowing this was the Boss’s doing, she didn’t panic.

Since someone had spoken for her, Su Su didn’t bother to answer and silently acknowledged the introduction.

“I see.” The woman nodded and then bowed to Su Su. “Today’s matter is our fault. There is naturally no problem with the Boss wanting compensation. However, our Base Leader is still in the air. Could you let him down first so we can talk?”

“One thousand.” Su Su raised a single finger. “Transfer one thousand points first, otherwise, no deal.”

Trying to scam her with empty promises? In your dreams.

…

The woman hadn’t expected Su Su to be so blunt. Even with her vast experience, she couldn’t help but be stunned, though she quickly recovered.

This Boss is completely unyielding, she thought with suppressed anger, though she didn’t dare show it on her face. To be able to make so many people’s abilities fail simultaneously and still have the energy to suspend a man in mid-air—the boss of this hotel was definitely no ordinary person. At the very least, she was someone they couldn’t afford to provoke.

There was no other choice; they couldn’t just leave Xu Qiliang hanging there forever.

Under Tian Wen’s direction, the woman registered for a membership card and used a heart core to top it up with one thousand points. Without even a sound of protest, the points were transferred directly to Su Su’s account.

Seeing the points on her account increase by another thousand, the expression on Su Su’s face finally softened slightly.

She gave a command to the system. In the next second, with a loud splat, Xu Qiliang slammed face-down onto the floor.

His subordinates had been so busy watching Su Su that they hadn’t paid any attention to their Base Leader’s situation. Only when Xu Qiliang’s scream rang out did they realize what had happened.

The person responsible for the point transfer broke into a cold sweat. Why didn’t the Boss give a warning?

Six or seven people rushed over together to haul Xu Qiliang up from the floor. As soon as he was standing, they saw a nosebleed flowing from under his high-bridged nose.

Drip. Drip.

Two drops of blood fell onto the floor. Everyone who saw it was startled. Surely the Boss isn’t going to ask for another ten thousand points in compensation?

“Oh, the floor is dirty,” Su Su said calmly.

“Ah! Where? Wipe it quickly!” someone immediately gestured to the person closest to the bloodstain. Receiving the signal, that person quickly crouched down. Not caring about cleanliness, they used their sleeve to wipe the blood spots off the floor.

Once it was wiped away, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

“You… you…”

By now, Xu Qiliang could speak again. Recalling what had just happened, his hands shook with rage.

“Me what? Pay up.” Su Su reached out and slapped away the hand Xu Qiliang was pointing at her.

With a smack, Xu Qiliang was stunned. Who was this person? How did she dare to disregard him so completely?

“Do you have any idea who I am?” Xu Qiliang gritted his teeth.

“I don’t care who you are. I only know you owe me ten thousand points.” Su Su swept her gaze calmly over the group. “If you can’t pay, not a single one of you is leaving.”

Wait, why are we involved too? The people following Xu Qiliang suddenly looked like they were on the verge of a breakdown.

“Ten thousand points? I have a million points, but I won’t give you a single one!” Xu Qiliang barked. “You don’t know who I am? I suggest you ask around, lest you regret it when it’s too late.”

Xu Qiliang assumed Su Su was only being so arrogant because she didn’t understand his status. He straightened his collar with absolute confidence, waiting for Su Su to cry and apologize once she realized who he was.

“You’re sick. Pay up.” Su Su looked Xu Qiliang up and down. This man looked decent enough, but unfortunately, his brain wasn’t working right; he couldn’t understand plain speech.

“You…”

Having his pride wounded yet again, Xu Qiliang’s face turned red with fury. He was about to say something, reaching out his hand, but then quickly withdrew it. He shoved one hand into his pocket, his emotions suddenly cooling down.

“Fine. But how am I supposed to transfer these points to you?”

“Transfer them to her, then have her transfer them to me,” Su Su said, tilting her chin toward the woman from before.

Xu Qiliang cast a cold glance over, and the woman immediately fell silent, taking a step back to hide in the crowd.

“For this many points, I should do it myself.”

“That works too.”

Su Su had only suggested the other woman because she wanted to avoid the trouble of making Xu Qiliang register for a card. Since he brought it up, she had no objection. After all, she only cared about the points; she didn’t care who swiped for them.

Tian Wen wanted to help as she had before, but Xu Qiliang raised a hand and rejected her. His gaze toward Tian Wen was full of contempt. “It’s not your turn to process this for me.”

“You…”

Luo Shaoran stopped the angry Tian Wen, shaking her head to signal her not to be impulsive. The Boss was so calm because she had her own ways of dealing with Xu Qiliang, but Tian Wen was different. Xu Qiliang was cunning; there was no telling what might happen.

With no one else helping, Su Su had to do it herself. She led Xu Qiliang to the checkout counter. Just as she was about to explain how to process it, Xu Qiliang suddenly pulled his hand out of his pocket. His expression became incredibly arrogant.

“You thought I only had an ability? Go to hell!”

Xu Qiliang quickly pulled the trigger. He didn’t give anyone a chance to react, firing the shot at point-blank range.

The spinning bullet exited the barrel. In the eyes of the onlookers, which had suddenly widened in shock, it flew straight toward Su Su’s heart.

It’s over!

Luo Shaoran and the others were too desperate to stop it. They knew clearly that at such a close distance, Su Su was doomed. They hadn’t expected that even at this stage, Xu Qiliang would still win.

While everyone thought Su Su would die under the gun, Su Su herself showed no reaction.

The bullet spun through the air for a distance, then suddenly seemed to be caught by an invisible hand, stopping in mid-air, unable to move another inch.

“It seems you truly are seeking death,” Su Su said coldly. As the words left her mouth, the bullet suddenly reversed direction. While everyone was still dazed, it pierced directly through Xu Qiliang’s abdomen.

“AH!!!”

The intense pain caused Xu Qiliang to scream uncontrollably. By the time the crowd reacted, he was already lying in a pool of blood.

“Base Leader!”

The crowd rushed over. Except for Luo Shaoran’s group, everyone surrounded Xu Qiliang. They reached out to block the wound, but unfortunately, it was a gunshot wound; it had pierced through both the front and back of his body and could not be stopped.

“Boss, please, we’ll pay the ten thousand points. Could you please save our Base Leader?”

“Save him? Don’t you realize he shot this bullet himself?”

Su Su hadn’t originally intended to kill Xu Qiliang. After all, with his status, he could have quickly boosted the lighthouse’s reputation after returning, bringing her many guests. Unfortunately, he courted his own death, so she couldn’t be blamed.
