Li Chengshuo patted her shoulder with schadenfreude, speaking in a mocking tone, “Mingzhu, this is what happens when you talk too much. How dreadful.”

Jin Mingzhu coldly slapped his hand away. “Get lost!”

Li Chengshuo, looking completely unfazed, smiled and followed her.Full novel: Power Hierarchy: The Eldest Daughter Awakens in the Noble Academy — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“What are you all staring at? Want to laugh at me too? Are you even worthy?”

Jin Mingzhu suddenly turned around and snapped, startling Jin Mingzhen and the others behind her. They timidly took a step back, only following once she had moved forward.

After all the students of Class 1, Grade 12 had passed through the corridor, the crowds on both sides quietly mingled together again.

“Did your class just finish an elective course?”

A gentle female voice, neither too loud nor too soft, suddenly called out to Class 1, Grade 12 as they were heading upstairs.

With a soft thud, the person at the front stopped in their tracks.

Song Enya, standing below, looked up slightly and saw the people on the stairs turning around one by one.

They seemed deliberately arranged on the staircase, each standing in their fixed position without crossing the slightest boundary.

The girl at the very top stood as if at the pinnacle of a pyramid, looking down upon them from above.

She had a breathtakingly beautiful face and eyes that seemed especially favored by heaven.

Song Enya felt her heart skip a beat, then her gaze fell upon Han Shixu among them.

So he was also a student at Di’an International…

Jing Yuanxi caught sight of Han Shixu from the corner of her eye.

His expression held a trace of shock, mixed with a hint of disbelief.

After clearly seeing the person below, Jin Mingzhu, Li Chengshuo, and a few others simultaneously found the situation absurd.

Why would this person come to Di’an International?

Bai Huina rushed up two steps to the very top, leaning close to Jing Yuanxi’s ear to whisper quietly.

As Bai Huina explained, Jing Yuanxi’s gaze grew colder and colder. While a feeling of “as expected” arose in her heart, a surge of hostility also welled up.

She gave the people below a cold glance, then shifted her gaze mockingly to Han Shixu.

Han Shixu, caught off guard by her stare, immediately composed himself, returning to his usual indifferent demeanor.

But no matter how well he tried to conceal it, he couldn’t hide it from Jing Yuanxi.

“Is this your physical education class?” the female teacher asked again with a smile, her eyes curved.

“No, it’s music class,” Jin Mingzhen replied.

The teacher paid no mind to the other students ignoring her. She pretended to ponder for a moment. “Music class should be held in the afternoon. Morning is the perfect time for studying.”

“Of course, this has nothing to do with you. It’s the school’s mistake. Hurry back to the classroom—the next class is about to start.”

Jing Yuanxi curled her lips in a silent, cold smile and led Class 1, Grade 12 upstairs without looking back.

“Let’s go. I’ll take you to the office. The teachers are all in another building.”

The two turned and left the teaching building.

“Our uniforms at Di’an International are all custom-made at Jinghuang Tower. Since you’re a special admission student, the school allows you to pay in installments. If you can earn a scholarship once, you can directly deduct the cost of the uniform.”

“That’s quite generous. Is the scholarship only for the top student? Never mind, I’ll work hard anyway,” Song Enya said earnestly.

“Top student?” The teacher turned to look at her with a smile. “No, no, the scholarship is specifically prepared for special admission students like you. Being the top student is too difficult for you.”

After all, that group of people doesn’t care about scholarships.

Song Enya froze in place, staring blankly at the person across from her as she heard the words:

“You only need to achieve a Sequence B grade to receive the scholarship.”

The teacher turned and continued walking ahead, her tone light with amusement. “After all, it would already be quite an effort for you to defeat half of those students.”

Those students…?

In an instant, Song Enya understood who she was referring to. She couldn’t help but glance back toward the school building.

The bustling figures of students were visible on the lower five floors, but on the sixth floor, only the senior class one students who had just stepped into the hallway could be seen.

One floor above that was the rooftop.

From a distance, Song Enya seemed to see someone on the sixth-floor hallway turn and look in her direction.

“Why is the elevator broken again today? They must have used it secretly, right? It was clearly said this elevator was specially prepared for us. Do we really need to station a security guard to guard it?”

Bai Huina muttered complaints under her breath, then looked up to see Jing Yuanxi gazing outside.

“Yuanxi, what’s wrong?”

Jing Yuanxi withdrew her gaze, her eyes deliberately or unintentionally sweeping past Han Shixu along the way. She said meaningfully, “Nothing. I saw a sparrow.”

“A sparrow? How could there be such a thing in our school?” Yin Meiyan scoffed dismissively, leading her group past them and straight into the classroom.

Pei Jize, who had been bumped into, looked thoroughly displeased. “Her attitude is really infuriating. Doesn’t anyone teach her a lesson?”

Unfortunately, everyone else’s attention was now on what Jing Yuanxi had said, and no one paid him any mind.

Li Chengshuo leaned against the railing and looked outside. “It’s not easy to chase a sparrow away once it flies in. They won’t leave until they’ve finished foraging.”

Bai Huina immediately frowned. “Should we call someone to deal with it? I don’t like sparrows. I prefer prettier birds.”

Jing Yuanxi ignored their comments and instead turned to the person beside her. “What do you think, Han Shixu? Should we have someone deal with it?”

Bai Huina’s hand, which had been about to dial a number, stopped abruptly. Everyone else turned their eyes toward the composed young man.

“A single sparrow won’t hinder you in the slightest. Don’t do anything self-important.”

After calmly saying this, Han Shixu walked into the classroom.

Jing Yuanxi smiled silently, a hint of mockery in her expression. Li Chengshuo, Bai Huina, and the others were left bewildered by the reprimand, exchanging glances as if asking what was wrong with him.

Only Pei Jize had the audacity to laugh out loud. He sauntered over to Jing Yuanxi with a cheeky grin. “Wow, your fiancé is quite the noble one, huh? Is this the type you like?”

Jing Yuanxi turned her head with a smile. “Where’s your banner?”

“…On the desk.”

“Didn’t I say you need to wear it to show your sincerity? Why haven’t you put it on yet? Do I need to teach you that?”

Pei Jize: “…”

The others: “…”

Once again left facing her retreating back, Pei Jize turned to the others in a daze. “Did she just take her anger out on me again?”

The others offered strained smiles, not daring to say more.

Pei Jize patted his chest to calm himself down, taking several deep breaths before muttering through gritted teeth, “I’ll go hang that banner right now. Let’s see what you have to say next time!”

With that, he stormed into the classroom in a huff.

Li Chengshuo and Bai Huina exchanged a look, shrugged, and followed him into the classroom.
