Karl felt like his brain had stopped functioning.

Who was Neil?

He had no memory of who that person was at all.Full novel: Pregnant? I Can Still Cultivate! [BL] — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Though he hadn’t gotten the full memory of Karl Dawnspire, he had gotten enough to know how many things worked in this world.

Yet, he had never for once remembered who this Neil was.

“Neil?” His confusion shone through.

Lyold nodded.

“Remember what happened between you and Neil the night before the marriage?”

“I think it’s what led to this pregnancy.

His Grace must never know you’re pregnant.

He’ll certainly kill you!”

Karl’s heart skipped a beat.

He cheated on Varek??

How was that possible?

The first thing he felt when he saw Varek Dawnspire was deep longing.

The lingering feeling of the original Karl Dawnspire had remained, and the love and the longing hadn’t been fake.

With so much affection, how could Karl Dawnspire really cheat on Varek?

Karl didn’t want to believe it.

However, he also knew Lyold wouldn’t lie to him.

Had he really made a mistake by sleeping with someone else the night before his marriage?

Then, did Varek know about it?

Did he also know that that child wasn’t his?

Everything he’d been doing for him and saying to him- were they true or not?

Karl’s heart ached faintly.

He really didn’t want this.

He didn’t want to betray the one person who had ever treated him right in his life.

Even though the mistake was made by Karl Dawnspire, Karl didn’t believe he could live with the guilt.

No, he didn’t want to.

“Where’s Neil?”

He had no idea why he wasn’t remembering anything about Neil.

But maybe seeing him would remind him of some things.

Karl inwardly hoped things weren’t as Lyold said.

He desperately hoped.

“He should be at the academy right now,” Lyold replied.

“We can only see him if we go to the academy.”

“He’s a student?”

“Hm.

You know this, too, right?”

Karl’s lips pursed.

He didn’t know.

But that meant he couldn’t see Neil.

There was no way he would go to the academy to see him when Varek was also in the same academy.

Though that place was big enough for two people to meet without Varek knowing, the guilt made Karl hesitate.

Going to that place to meet Neil felt like a massive betrayal.

He didn’t want to make Varek see him that way.

“Let’s go and eat then.

We’ll see him later.” He would look for other ways to see this Neil outside the academy.

Karl planned to make Rai invite him out when he returned home.

Rai would definitely do a good job.

Lyold nodded.

He seemed really troubled.

The two walked down the street. You are reading on g.com, the official source.

None of them said a word to each other.

The people along the street greeted Karl, making it impossible for him to truly think too deep into the troubles in his heart.

Thirty minutes later, they stopped in front of a tall and grand building.

“Sunshine restaurant.” Was written boldly on the building.

Karl and Lyold stepped in.

A beautiful young lady approached them.

“Young Master Karl, Mister Lyold.

It’s nice to see you here.”

Lyold revealed a forced smile.

“Take us to a private room, please.”

The young lady smiled.

“Please, come with me.”

Under the gazes of everyone in the restaurant, Karl and Lyold were led up the stairs until they reached the highest floor.

The young lady stopped before a room.

Number one was written on the door.

“This is the best room in our restaurant, Young Master and Mister.

Please, step in.”

“Thanks, Miss,” Lyold replied.

“Thanks…”

“Karl?”

Someone suddenly called, interrupting Karl’s words.

He turned around.

Standing a few feet away from him was a young and handsome green-robed man.

Behind the young man were two other men.

One looked rougher while the other looked really delicate.

At a glance, one could tell he was a ger.

Karl’s brows furrowed.

His temples pulsed.

His head ached slightly.

“Neil?”

Lyold called.

Karl’s eyes widened.

Neil?

This young man was Neil?

He sized the man up again.

Black hair.

Tall.

Well, a bit taller than Karl and strong, too.

However, he was in no way worthy of comparison with Varek.

Though Karl had expected this, seeing the man himself, he still shook his head.

“Impossible.” He muttered.

“No, it’s impossible.”

‘Karl Dawnspire wouldn’t be stupid enough to cheat on Varek with this person.

It wasn’t worth it.’

Even someone like him, who had never fallen in love all his life, still knew that Varek was way above Neil by all standards.

Karl Dawnspire loved Varek Dawnspire so much.

There was no way he would have cheated.

However, as Neil stepped closer to Karl, his heart inexplicably began to race.

He frowned deeply and took a few steps back.

“What?

Are you scared?”

Lyold frowned, realizing something was wrong.

He took Karl’s hand and looked at Neil.

“Neil, what do you mean?”

Neil smiled.

“Nothing, of course.

Karl is married to the Sovereign, so I dare not say too much to him.”

“Married?” The Ger behind him sneered.

“He’s married to the Sovereign, yet everyone still calls him ‘Young Master’.

The Sovereign has never tried to correct it.

Doesn’t that mean that he doesn’t even love him?” His voice was filled with sarcasm.

The rough man nudged him.

“Stop, Lin.

Why would the Sovereign love such a stupid Ger like him?

That’s an insult to the Sovereign.” His tone was filled with anger.

The Ger frowned.

He grabbed Neil’s arm and rested it on him.

“Neil, Ico is bullying me.” He sounded coy.

Neil glared at Ico.

Ico stepped backward, but the anger in his eyes remained as he glared at Lin.

Karl watched the drama before him as his headache grew.

Fragmented memories appeared in his head.

Neil’s face.

Neil’s smile.

Karl Dawnspire’s doting smile.

His warm gaze…

Then, the two had entered a room together.

Karl clung tightly to Neil, following him into a private room, and they locked the door from behind.

Karl’s heart sank.

Oh no…

Neil returned his attention to Karl.

“Would you like to talk now?

Or would you like me to do it by force?”

“Force?

Neil, don’t push it!” Lyold shouted.

Neil’s eyes turned cold.

“Lyold, watch your words.

Someone like you isn’t worthy of speaking to me.”

“Remember, your husband is just a clerk at the academy!”

“Neil!”

Neil smirked.

The arrogance on his face couldn’t be more annoying.

He stepped closer, approaching Karl.

Karl’s lips trembled.

Neil seemed strong…

He took a step back.

There was no way he could defeat Neil right now…

“Varek!!!”

He shouted.

His voice reverberated through the whole restaurant.
