Karl went to Varek’s room.

He met Varek sitting on a couch with a book in his hand.

Without making a sound, he approached the man.Full novel: Pregnant? I Can Still Cultivate! [BL] — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Books on weapons?” He asked, slightly surprised.

Why would Varek read books about weapons?

Varek’s eyes remained on the book.

“Yes.

You need some weapons to protect yourself when you leave.”

Karl was stunned.

“You’re doing this for me?”

Varek raised his eyes slightly.

He returned his attention to his book without a word.

Karl’s lips pursed.

He sat beside Varek and hugged his arm.

“Varek is so nice to me.” He smiled proudly.

Varek opened a few pages and stopped.

“Do you like this sword or the whip?”

He paused and looked at Karl.

“What weapon do you think would be suitable for you?”

“Weapon…” Karl fell into deep thought.

If it were on Earth, he’d have chosen a gun.

It was easy to use in those dramas and proved to be really effective, too.

However, it was different here.

He looked at the pictures of the two weapons on the page, and his eyes wavered slightly.

“They both look so beautiful.” He didn’t know what to choose…

“You shouldn’t choose because they are beautiful.

Most of the weapons in this book are drawn beautifully.

You should choose according to what you think will be able to support you in fights.”

Karl nodded.

He understood.

“What weapon do you use?” He asked Varek.

“Sword.” The man replied.

Karl’s eyes lit up.

“Can I see it?”

Varek stared at him.

“You know, I want to see if I can gain any idea from it.” He lied through his teeth.

‘Varek’s sword…

it must be really beautiful.’ His heart grew starry just from imagining the sword in his mind.

The first time Karl saw a sword was the day Varek took him to the academy.

The second day, he opened his eyes to this world.

Back then, he had seen the fascinating thing behind a few cultivators.

Though most people didn’t carry their weapons with them, some strapped them to their waist.

It looked bigger than kitchen knives, and even though he couldn’t see it properly, he felt like it would be sharper than kitchen knives, too.

But he’d never felt the urge to ask those people to show him.

No, he didn’t even ask about it from anyone, as he wasn’t exactly interested in it.

However, hearing that Varek also owned one made him curious.

What did Varek’s sword look like?

Was it really beautiful and long?

Varek stretched out his hand, and the next second, a thin, soft sword appeared in his hand.

The sword curled, looking bendable like a whip.

It was different.

A lot different from the ones he had seen before and even more different from what he had in his imagination.

The sword glowed with a silver light.

It seemed to be moving even without anyone wielding it.

The power radiating from it was so suffocating that Karl didn’t dare try to touch it or get too close to it.

However, he loved it.

He loved it so much.

“So, this is your weapon…”

Varek nodded.

“Do you want it?”

‘Can…

can I?” Karl stuttered.

Varek’s eyes flicked over his face.

He nodded slowly.

“It’s not useful in my hand.”

Karl hesitated.

“Is it a gift?” Seeing how Varek said it was useless to him, he couldn’t have bought it.

Was it a gift from someone?

Varek shook his head.

“No.

I refined it.”

“You made it?”

“Hm.”

“Wait, you can make weapons?”

“Yes.” Varek nodded.

“Whoa.

Whoa.

You are so amazing, Varek.”

Karl looked at Varek like he was looking at an impossible being.

From the moment he set his eyes on the man, he’d had the feeling that the man shouldn’t have existed.

He looked too unreal.

But his talent was even more wonderful!

Karl praised Varek endlessly in his heart.

“Alright.

I’ll take the sword then.” He reached out to take it.

The sword suddenly moved on its own.

A buzzing sound originated from it as it flew away from Varek’s hold, intending to escape.

Varek flipped his hand, catching the sword.

“Wait.

I’ll suppress the spirit within it so you can use it.”

“Spirit?” Karl was confused.

“Hm.

It’s a peak rank 9 weapon.

It has a spirit.”

Karl nodded dazedly.

“It seems I have to read about weapons then.” He had no idea what a rank 9 weapon meant.

He’d never heard anything like that before, and it seemed Karl Dawnspire had never heard it either.

It wasn’t in his memories.

Varek placed the weapon book on his lap and placed his other hand on the sword. This chapter is updated first at g.com.

The buzzing sound intensified.

The sword struggled desperately, trying to escape.

A few seconds later, it suddenly stopped.

The glow around the sword also died down.

Varek handed the sword to Karl.

“I suppressed it to rank 2.”

“You should be able to use it at Earth Level.

After that, I’ll release a bit of the seal so you can continue controlling it.”

Karl took the sword.

He smiled brightly and hugged it to his chest.

“Hm.

Thank you.” He really loved the sword…

Varek’s expression softened.

“Then, do you also want a whip?”

Karl shook his head.

“I’m okay with this alone.” Varek’s sword was in his hand.

It was all he needed.

He didn’t need any other weapon.

“Okay.”

Varek closed the book.

Lifting his hand slightly, the book disappear, and he stood up.

Karl stood up with him.

“Going to bed?”

“Hm.

It’s late.”

“Let’s sleep then.” He also needed to sleep to prepare for tomorrow.

Varek lay in bed and shifted, leaving enough space for Karl to lie beside him.

Karl’s hand wrapped around his waist.

He pulled himself closer to the man and buried his head on his neck.

Karl breathed in, and the warm and refreshing scent from Varek’s body relaxed his nerves.

His eyes soon grew heavy.

He nestled deeper into Varek’s embrace.

“Good night.” He mumbled.

“Hm,” Varek replied and closed his eyes.

He had gotten used to Karl’s clingy nature every night.

Karl blinked gently and let out a low sigh.

Tomorrow morning, he’d have to visit Karl Dawnspire’s parents.

The thought made him feel slightly worried.

Varek hadn’t recognized him because he wasn’t exactly close to Karl Dawnspire, and their marriage was still pretty early.

But what about Karl Dawnspire’s parents?

Would they not recognize their child?

What would they do to him?

What if they told Varek about it?

The thought made Karl a little scared.
