“Leave with nothing?” Su Wanxing’s eyes turned cold. Then, as if she had suddenly figured something out, she spoke in a deep voice, “The fifty taels of silver and two dan of grain my parents left behind were earned with their lives. My siblings and I should rightfully have a share. But I don’t want to keep wasting time arguing with you. Today, I’m willing to take a step back.”

Her words stunned everyone present. Su Yuan’s family immediately looked wary, afraid she was setting some kind of trap. Village Head Zhao also raised his eyes slightly, signaling her to continue.

Su Wanxing spoke clearly, word by word. “I can voluntarily give up all the inheritance left by my parents. Not a single coin of silver, not a single grain of food. Even the furniture and belongings they used during their lifetime—I’ll leave everything to you. But I have one condition.”Full novel: Premonition of Time Travel: Hoarding Supplies Like Crazy for Maximum Security — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

She paused, then emphasized firmly, “You must sign a formal document to sever family ties with me.”

She continued, stressing each point carefully. “The document must clearly state three things. First, my father Su Changhai’s branch will from now on be officially placed under the name of our late Third Granduncle. The household registration of the three of us siblings will follow Third Granduncle, and we will have nothing to do with Su Yuan’s branch anymore. Second, I, Su Wanxing, voluntarily give up all the inheritance left by my parents and will never pursue it in the future. Third, from now on, the life and death, illness, marriages, and funerals of the three of us siblings will be entirely our own responsibility. We will have nothing to do with Su Yuan, Su Changhe, or Su Changjiang’s families, and we will never interfere with any of your matters either.”

Her words were like a stone thrown into calm water, instantly causing an uproar. The neighbors outside the courtyard had never expected Su Wanxing to make such a huge concession. Aunt Zhang could not help but speak up.

“Wanxing, that was the blood and sweat your parents left behind. Are you really giving it up just like that?”

Su Wanxing glanced back at her with firm eyes. “Money can always be earned again. As long as I can take my brother and sister away from this hell completely, it’s worth it.”

Su Yuan’s family, however, was both shocked and delighted. What they feared most was Su Wanxing stubbornly demanding the inheritance. Now she was voluntarily giving it up and even willing to sign a document cutting off family ties. It was practically the perfect solution—getting rid of three burdens without paying any cost.

Li Cuihua secretly tugged at Su Yuan’s sleeve and whispered anxiously, “Agree to it! That girl is strange and hard to control. Only a fool would refuse silver like this. Let’s sign quickly before anything changes.”

Su Changhe and Su Changjiang exchanged looks and both saw excitement in each other’s eyes. Su Changhe could not help saying, “Father, she said it herself that she’s giving up the inheritance willingly. We didn’t force her!”

Su Yuan also began calculating in his mind. Even if Su Wanxing had previously threatened to report the matter to the authorities, once she voluntarily gave up the inheritance, there would be no evidence that they had seized it. Even if she caused trouble later, she would gain nothing. And once the severance document was signed, whether those three children lived or died would have nothing to do with the Su family anymore.

The Third Granduncle was Su Yuan’s younger brother who had died early without descendants. Placing Su Changhai’s branch under his name was entirely reasonable.

Thinking of this, Su Yuan finally made up his mind and slapped his thigh.

“Fine! We’ll do it your way! As long as you truly give up the inheritance voluntarily, I’ll sign the severance document!”

“Your signature alone isn’t enough,” Su Wanxing immediately added, her gaze sweeping across Su Changhe and Su Changjiang’s families. “Everyone in your family must sign and press their fingerprints on the document—Grandfather Su, Grandmother Su, Uncle, Aunt, Second Uncle, Second Aunt. Not a single person can be missing. After all, when my parents’ inheritance was taken, it was done by all of you. If we’re severing ties now, then all of you must acknowledge it.”

What she feared most was someone in Su Yuan’s family regretting it later and claiming ignorance.

But Su Yuan’s family was eager to cut ties completely. Li Cuihua immediately nodded. “We’ll sign! All of us will sign! As long as the ties are completely cut, we’ll all put our names on it!”

Seeing that both sides had reached an agreement, the village head felt relieved. He immediately had someone bring paper and brush and personally drafted the severance document. He carefully wrote the three main conditions proposed by Su Wanxing clearly to avoid any disputes in the future.

Once the document was finished, the village head read it aloud so everyone present could hear it clearly.

After confirming that the terms were correct, Su Wanxing was the first to sign her name and press her fingerprint on the document. She then asked Wanfeng and Wanyue to press their fingerprints as well.

Next, Su Yuan reluctantly signed his name. Li Cuihua followed closely behind, her fingers trembling slightly—not out of fear, but excitement.

Su Changhe pulled Wang Xiulan over. The two of them did not even bother reading the contents before quickly signing and pressing their fingerprints. Su Changjiang and Liu Huidi also signed without delay.

All six members of the family signed the document.

To ensure its legal validity, the village head signed as the primary witness. He also asked Aunt Zhang, Uncle Li, and another neighbor to sign as additional witnesses.

After the signing, three copies of the document were made—one for Su Wanxing, one for Su Yuan’s family, and one kept by the village head for record.

Holding the freshly signed document, the ink still wet, the heavy weight in Su Wanxing’s heart finally lifted.

Although she had given up the inheritance left by her parents, she had gained freedom for herself and her siblings. She had finally escaped from this parasitic family. That was enough.

Inside her Intelligent Myriad Space was an enormous stockpile of supplies—far more reliable than fifty taels of silver and two dan of grain. With the protection of the space, that silver could be taken back at any time. It would not remain with them for long. Later, she would slowly deal with them. Letting them disappear quickly would be too easy for people like them—only after suffering would they understand the bitterness of the world.

When Su Yuan’s family received their copy of the document, the tension on their faces immediately disappeared, replaced by barely hidden delight.

Wang Xiulan even whispered to Su Changhe, “This is perfect. We didn’t spend a single coin to get rid of those three burdens. Now we don’t have to worry about Yaozu’s bride price.”

Her voice was quiet, but it still reached Su Wanxing’s ears.

She felt a wave of disgust and did not bother arguing with them.

Turning to the village head, she bowed respectfully. “Thank you, Grandpa Village Head, for standing up for justice for us siblings today.”

The village head sighed and looked at her. “Wanxing, you’ve suffered greatly. From now on, take good care of your brother and sister. If you run into difficulties, come find me.”

“Thank you, Grandpa Village Head,” Su Wanxing said again.

Then she took Su Wanfeng and Su Wanyue back to the small, broken hut where they used to live.

The hut was cramped and dark. Aside from a worn wooden bed and a faded wooden chest, there was nothing else inside. When she opened the chest, there were only a few patched old clothes and a thin quilt.

This was all the property the three siblings possessed in that household.

“Sister, where are we going to live?” Su Wanfeng asked softly.

Su Wanxing gently patted his head. “We’ll stay at the village ancestral hall for a while. Once I settle things, I’ll find us a proper home.”

The ancestral hall in the village was usually empty, and the village head had already agreed to let them stay there temporarily.

Carrying their small bundle, Su Wanxing held Su Wanyue’s hand with her left hand and Su Wanfeng’s with her right as they walked step by step out of the house that had caused them so much suffering.

The neighbors outside watched the thin figures of the three siblings with sympathy. Aunt Zhang even ran up and stuffed several warm steamed buns into Su Wanxing’s hands.

“Wanxing, take these. It’s not easy taking care of your brother and sister.”

Su Wanxing accepted them, her eyes slightly reddening, and thanked her.

She knew that from this day forward, a new life had begun for the three of them.

Even though the road ahead would be difficult, she had the Intelligent Myriad Space, plenty of supplies, and the determination to protect her siblings. She would definitely give them a good life.

As the sun set in the west, the shadows of the three siblings stretched long across the ground.

Su Wanxing looked up at the glowing evening clouds, her eyes filled with determination and hope.
