Su Wanxing held Su Wanfeng’s hand and carried Su Wanyue as she followed her memory toward the ancestral hall at the western end of the village. The ancestral hall of Su Family Hollow was not very large. It consisted of three old earthen houses. The courtyard wall was mottled and peeling, and a rusty iron lock hung on the gate—Village Head Li had specifically asked someone to unlock it in advance and reminded her to lock it again after using it.

She pushed open the heavy wooden door. With a creaking sound, the quiet of dusk was broken.

The courtyard of the ancestral hall was overgrown with waist-high weeds. Some broken farming tools and pieces of wood were piled in the corners. The air was filled with a damp, moldy smell. The main hall was used to worship the ancestral tablets, with several worn wooden tables whose paint had already peeled away. The side rooms on both sides were empty, containing nothing but thick dust and scattered straw.Full novel: Premonition of Time Travel: Hoarding Supplies Like Crazy for Maximum Security — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Sister, it’s so dirty here.” Su Wanfeng frowned slightly and tugged at Su Wanxing’s sleeve.

Su Wanyue hugged Su Wanxing’s neck tightly, burying her small face in her arms and not daring to look up.

Su Wanxing patted the backs of the two children and comforted them softly. “Don’t be afraid. Let’s clean up a place to make do for tonight. Tomorrow your sister will tidy it up properly. It may be simple here, but at least it’s safe. No one will bully us anymore.”

She placed the bundle in the eastern side room, then found a relatively clean piece of rag in the courtyard. She quickly swept away some of the dust on the ground and spread some dry straw as a temporary bed.

After finishing, she remembered the steamed buns Aunt Zhang had given her, as well as the mantou stored in her space. Those were white flour mantou she had deliberately stocked before—vacuum-packed and perfect for feeding her younger siblings now.

Pretending to search inside the bundle, she actually took out two mantou from the modern section of her space and placed the buns from Aunt Zhang beside them.

“Wanfeng, Wanyue, come eat something.”

She handed the mantou to the two children while she picked up one of the coarse buns and began eating it.

The white flour mantou were soft and fragrant—something Su Wanfeng and Su Wanyue had never eaten before. Su Wanyue nibbled slowly, her eyes sparkling. Su Wanfeng ate carefully, occasionally glancing at Su Wanxing.

“Sister, you should eat the mantou too.”

“Sister will eat the coarse bun. You two hurry and eat.” Su Wanxing smiled and rubbed his head, though her heart felt a little sour.

When the original host’s parents were still alive, the family’s situation was not bad. They could eat white flour mantou regularly. But after their parents died, the three siblings became burdens that everyone bullied. They could barely even get a full meal.

After the siblings filled their stomachs a little, night had completely fallen.

There were no lamps in the ancestral hall. Su Wanxing took out a candle and a lighter from her space, lit the candle, and placed it in the corner of the wall. The faint flame drove away some of the darkness and cold.

She let Su Wanfeng and Su Wanyue lie down on the straw bed. Sitting beside them, she gently patted Su Wanyue’s back and hummed an off-key lullaby to coax them to sleep.

Perhaps because they had been frightened so much during the day, or perhaps because they finally felt safe, the two children soon fell into a deep sleep. Their small faces still carried traces of dried tears.

Looking at their peaceful sleeping faces, warmth rose in Su Wanxing’s heart, strengthening her determination to protect them.

After they were sound asleep, Su Wanxing quietly stood up and walked into the courtyard.

The night grew deeper. The village was silent except for the occasional barking of dogs.

She took a deep breath, focused her mind, and softly murmured, “Intelligent Myriad Space.”

The next moment, a dizzying sensation spun around her, and she entered the familiar pure white space again.

But as soon as she stood still, Su Wanxing froze.

The space was different from when she had last left it.

In the center of the once empty space, there was now a display screen about half a person tall. The screen emitted a soft white glow and clearly listed all the items on the shelves of the modern area—from food and daily necessities to weapons and tools. Everything was categorized, and even the quantity of each item was marked.

“Is this… a new function?”

Su Wanxing walked closer and gently touched the screen. Her fingertips felt a cool surface, and the contents on the screen scrolled and switched as she touched it.

While she was still surprised by the screen, her attention was suddenly drawn to the right side of the space.

That area had originally been empty, but now there was a completely new section different from the modern area. At the edge of the area was a faint light curtain, and on the curtain were the words “Ancient Area.”

Curious, Su Wanxing passed through the light curtain and stepped inside.

The environment here was completely different from the pure white of the modern area. The ground was paved with ancient bluestone tiles, and the shelves had become wooden racks, giving the place a classical atmosphere.

What surprised her even more was that in the corner of the ancient area stood a small stone well. The mouth of the well was built with bluestone bricks, and beside it lay a simple wooden ladle. The water inside was crystal clear, with faint white mist rising from it.

“Ancient Area… Could it have appeared to adapt to this world?”

Thinking of the modern packaged items she had stocked before, Su Wanxing suddenly had a bold guess.

She quickly returned to the modern area, took a vacuum-packed white flour mantou from a shelf, then went back to the ancient area and placed it on one of the wooden shelves.

In the next second, something magical happened.

The plastic packaging around the mantou disappeared instantly and was replaced by a clean sheet of oil paper neatly wrapping the bun. It now looked exactly like the mantou sold in a pastry shop in an ancient town—completely natural and not out of place at all.

“It actually works like this!”

Excited, Su Wanxing hurriedly took a pack of compressed biscuits and a bottle of iodine disinfectant from the modern area.

When the compressed biscuits were placed in the ancient area, the plastic wrapper turned into an oil-paper package containing square biscuits. The iodine bottle transformed into a small porcelain bottle with a simple label reading “Disinfectant.”

With this function, she would no longer need to worry about revealing the identity of modern items when taking things from the space.

A heavy worry in Su Wanxing’s heart was finally lifted. She had been wondering how to explain the origin of modern items, but now the problem was completely solved.

She walked over to the stone well and scooped up a ladle of water.

The well water tasted sweet and refreshing. After drinking it, a warm sensation spread through her stomach, making her feel very comfortable.

“This well water seems unusual.”

She scooped another ladle and observed it carefully. The water was not only clear but also carried a faint trace of spiritual energy.

At that moment, she remembered to check the condition of her body. Since arriving in this world, she had been busy dealing with Su Yuan’s family and had not had time to examine herself carefully.

Standing before the display screen, she discovered that it also had a mirror function that clearly reflected her appearance.

The girl in the mirror was about 158 centimeters tall, with a thin figure but surprisingly fair skin, very different from the village girls who worked in the fields all year. Her facial features were delicate—willow-shaped eyebrows, almond eyes, a small straight nose, and pale pink lips.

She should have been a very beautiful girl.

But on her left cheek was a coin-sized purple mark that ruined the overall beauty.

Su Wanxing raised her hand and touched the mark. Memories of the original host surfaced in her mind.

When the girl was young, she had accidentally fallen beside a fire pit and was burned by sparks. Because the wound had never been treated properly, it left behind this purple scar. When her parents were alive, they had always felt sorry for her and planned to save money to take her to a doctor in town to remove it. But after they died, the matter was forgotten.

She rolled up her sleeves, revealing her arms.

They were covered with injuries of different shades—bruises, scratches, and scars left from older wounds.

These had all been inflicted after her parents’ death by Li Cuihua, Wang Xiulan, and the others. Under such constant abuse, the original host had gradually become timid and submissive.

Looking at the injuries, Su Wanxing’s eyes slowly turned cold.

She would remember this pain for the original host.

But right now, she needed to improve this body as quickly as possible. It was far too weak to support her plans.

Suddenly, she thought of the water from the stone well.

It had felt very comfortable after drinking it earlier. Perhaps it had other effects.

Su Wanxing quickly scooped up another ladle of well water and gently splashed it onto her left cheek, rubbing the purple mark with her fingertips.

The water was cool, and the moment it touched her skin, a refreshing sensation spread.

After rubbing for a while, she looked again at her reflection on the screen and was surprised to see that the purple mark had actually faded slightly.

The change was not dramatic, but it was clearly lighter than before.

“The well water can really improve the skin!”

Delighted, Su Wanxing scooped more water and carefully washed the mark on her face, then wiped the bruises on her arms with it.

After cleaning them, she could clearly feel that the bruised areas hurt less, and her face felt much fresher.

She drank several more mouthfuls of the well water. The warm sensation spread from her abdomen throughout her body, and much of her fatigue disappeared.

She guessed that the well water probably had the effect of strengthening the body and fading scars. While it was not miraculous enough to produce instant results, long-term use would definitely make her body healthier.

With such a treasure, Su Wanxing felt much more confident.

She spent some time organizing the ancient area, transferring several commonly used items from the modern area to it. Looking at the supplies whose packaging had transformed into ancient styles, she finally felt at ease.
