The chest wasn’t large—roughly the size of an ordinary suitcase. Built from dark, weathered timber, its corners were reinforced with heavy metal brackets while ancient, cryptic totems were carved across the lid.

This was the windfall Su Qingyao’s divination had flagged.

Gu Xinran rubbed her burning backside, huffing with a mix of embarrassment and frustration as she stomped her foot.

Tang Yuqing and the other girls had clearly heard the sharp pop from earlier, and now they were casting knowing, mischievous glances their way.

"Guess I owe you an apology." Logan scratched the back of his head with an awkward grin.

He stepped forward, carefully bypassing the lethal mushroom, and dragged the heavy wooden trunk out into the open.

Without rushing to pry it open, Logan scanned the perimeter first.

Satisfied the area was clear, he crouched down, hooked his fingers under the lid, and heaved upward.

With a dusty *creak*, the chest popped open.

A semi-transparent, game-like interface instantly materialized floating above the box.

Out of dozens of grid slots, four were currently glowing.

The first slot held stacks of garments tanned from animal hides.

Logan pulled out a set. It felt coarse yet sturdy in his hand—a sleeveless vest and a short skirt that barely cleared the thighs, crudely stitched together with tough sinew. It radiated a raw, primitive vibe.

There were fifty sets in total. Not a single one missing.

[Primitive Hide Set]

[Quality: Common (White)]

[Contents: Includes top, bottom, and a pair of boots crafted from rough animal pelts. Provides basic warmth and defense.]

[Note: Still leagues better than the rags on your back.]

Fifty complete sets!

This was a lifesaver dropped right out of the sky.

The girls in the camp wouldn’t have to shiver through the night in flimsy swimwear anymore.

Plus, most of them were still wearing flip-flops; actual fur boots were infinitely more practical out here.

Logan shifted his gaze to the remaining grid items.

[Fence Blueprint]

[Quality: Rare (Green)]

[Function: Teaches the recipe for "Basic Fencing," allowing the construction of simple wooden palisades to demarcate territory and keep beasts at bay.]

[Crop Seed Pack]

[Quality: Rare (Green)]

[Function: Contains high-yield seeds for potatoes, corn, and pumpkins.]

[Note: You can’t call yourself a survivalist if you aren’t farming.]

[Hemostatic Herb]

[Quality: Rare (Green)]

[Function: Mash and apply to wounds for rapid clotting, mild anti-inflammatory effects, and pain relief. Can be amplified when paired with specialized professions.]

[Note: Essential for the wild. If you’re not dead yet, this keeps you breathing.]

Camp security had been a constant thorn in his side.

With a proper fence, they’d finally have a physical barrier to kick their defense up a notch.

Seeds meant future food security. Once fields were cleared, the tribe could achieve self-sufficiency.

And these bundled herbs were a literal medical safety net.

Injuries would be an everyday hazard in this hellhole. Having these herbs meant extra lives in reserve.

Clothing, defense, food, and medicine!

A single chest had instantly solved the four most critical crises facing the tribe.

Su Qingyao’s divination skill was utterly cracked.

Suppressing his surging excitement, Logan glanced at the girls nearby, who were still shivering in the morning breeze wearing only their swimsuits.

With a mental prompt, he pulled seven sets of hide gear straight out of his system inventory.

"Whoa!"

The gear materializing out thin air drew a collective gasp from the group.

"Go ahead and change into these," Logan instructed. "We’ll split the rest back at camp!"

"Awesome! Finally, some real clothes!"

"Oh thank god, these look so warm!"

"All hail the Chief!"

The girls chattered excitedly, casting aside any remaining shyness as they scrambled behind a nearby thicket to strip off their wet swimwear.

Logan stood his ground, slipping into his own set with a few quick movements.

The fur felt a bit scratchy against his skin, but it trapped body heat immediately. The sleeveless top and shorts design kept his movement completely unrestricted.

Moments later, the girls emerged in their new gear.

Logan took one look and paused mid-thought.

Clad in the primitive hide sets, the girls lost their delicate modern aura and gained a wild, untamed edge. Read this novel at g.com for the best experience.

Gu Xinran especially. The snug fit of the hide crop top and short skirt accentuated her dramatic curves to the absolute limit.

Miles of smooth skin were left exposed, and her long, slender legs practically gleamed in the sunlight.

Tang Yuqing, already sporting a natural wheat-toned complexion, looked exceptionally athletic and fierce clutching her machete.

Even Yu Le, the resident anime nerd, spun around in a circle, watching her fur skirt flare out.

"Whoa! I feel like a barbarian class character in an RPG! +10 Strength!"

Surveying the seven very different, yet equally striking, fur-clad beauties, Logan felt his pulse skip a beat.

The girls looked back at him with undisguised adoration in their eyes.

How long had they been out here?

Not only had they secured a fresh water supply, but they had also stumbled upon a high-tier chest drop.

They had seen messages in the chat channels complaining about other groups still starving or hunting for clean water.

Logan felt a surge of pride. The future of the tribe looked blindingly bright.

Yet, just as everyone soaked in the victory—

Rustle...

A faint, unnatural snap echoed from the chest-high brush nearby.

Every smile vanished in an instant. Like clockwork, hands gripped weapons tight.

Logan yanked Gu Xinran behind him, his hand slamming onto his inventory pouch to draw his seedling blade as he locked eyes on the rustling thicket.

"Who’s there?"

The foliage whipped violently.

An instant later.

A harsh, rough male voice bellowed from all sides.

"Nobody move a fucking muscle!"

Before the echo faded, over a dozen figures burst out of the surrounding tree line!

Shirtless, rippling with muscle, and covered in savage tattoos, they brandished machetes and wooden clubs while flashing ugly, predatory grins.

In the blink of an eye, a tight perimeter snapped shut, trapping Logan and his seven companions dead in the center.

The scar-faced leader stepped up, his muddy eyes crawling lewdly over Gu Xinran, Tang Yuqing, and the other girls before locking onto Logan.

He cracked a yellow-toothed grin.

"Not bad, kid. You’ve got great luck finding a loot chest."

"Too bad for you—everything inside it, and these chicks, belong to us now!"
