Logan’s nerves spiked instantly.

Over a dozen men!

His gaze flicked across the group, taking inventory of their gear in a fraction of a second.Full novel: Primitive Survival: I Am The Only Male In My Transmigrated Class — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Four of them carried machetes identical to the ones Tang Yuqing and her group were using—clearly players with the Hunter class.

The scar-faced leader carried a heavy, double-edged battleaxe.

The blade glinted menacingly in the sunlight, and unlike the standard lumberjack axes, it was obvious he was packing a unique combat class just like Logan!

The remaining ten or so goons gripped crude wooden clubs.

That made at least five combat-class fighters plus ten regular guys.

Meanwhile, counting himself, his side only had five hunters, four of whom had only gotten their weapons yesterday.

The power gap was massive.

This fight was going to be brutal.

"Boss, why waste time talking to this punk?"

A heavily muscled thug standing next to the scar-faced leader licked his dry lips, his beady eyes roaming lewdly over Gu Xinran and Tang Yuqing.

"Our luck today is way better than finding a loot chest! Look at these chicks, every single one of them is an absolute ten!

Especially the two upfront. Look at those legs, that waist... man, I never saw anything this premium back in the city clubs!"

His cronies let out a chorus of greasy, obnoxious laughter.

Fear and disgust washed over Gu Xinran, Tang Yuqing, and the other girls, causing them to instinctively shrink back behind Logan.

Logan stayed silent, simply stepping forward to shield the girls more completely.

Just then, a scrawny guy in the back shoved his way forward.

"Hey, dogface, shut the hell up! Don’t forget why the boss sent us out here!"

He hurried up to the scar-faced leader and hissed, "Second bro, we need to find Hao and the others! Tracking down the boss’s younger brother comes first!"

Reminded of the objective, the scar-faced leader dropped his playful smirk, his expression turning ugly.

"Kid, I’ll ask you once."

The leader pointed his axe tip straight at Logan.

"Seen two guys around? One’s about six-foot-one, built like a tank, carrying a thick wooden club.

The other’s skinny like a monkey, armed with a machete."

That description...

Weren’t those the exact two thugs he and Teacher Chen had taken care of yesterday?

Turns out these guys were their backup crew, and the "Hao" they kept mentioning was the boss’s little brother!

Logan’s brain raced at lightspeed.

A head-on clash was suicide against these numbers.

To win, he had to take out the leader first!

And right now, he had a golden opportunity.

He forced a look of textbook panic onto his face, taking a half-step back while his hand on the machete trembled visibly, as if completely shattered by their intimidation.

"I... I think I’ve seen them..."

Logan naturally had a youthful, clean-cut face. Combined with his terrified expression, he looked like a terrified high schooler completely out of his depth.

Seeing him cower, the scar-faced leader puffed up with arrogance, while his thugs sneered with utter contempt.

The leader sauntered right up to Logan, reached out, and grabbed him by the collar. A heavy wave of body odor washed over him.

"Where’d you see them? Where are they now?"

Logan faked a nervous stutter, voice shaking.

"Right... right by our camp perimeter. They were wearing black shorts, asking for directions, and then..."

He rattled off the exact clothing and even some of the foul-mouthed trash talk the two thugs had used yesterday.

"Yeah! That’s them!"

The scar-faced leader grew excited, his grip on Logan’s collar tightening. "Spit it out! Where are they right now?!"

"Back then... they were hanging around... around our territory line, asking for big bro Hao..."

Logan purposely dragged out his words, acting scatterbrained and frozen with fright.

To catch every word, the scar-faced leader leaned in even closer, dropping his chin so his ear nearly pressed against Logan’s chest.

Logan tensed his muscles, tilting his chin up as if leaning in to whisper a secret.

The scrawny guy watched the leader drop his guard and frowned, a bad feeling twisting in his gut.

He glanced back at Logan. That pathetic, cowering display looked so fake even he wanted to kick him, so he swallowed his warning and stayed quiet.

"Actually, those two..."

Right now!

The exact microsecond the leader’s focus narrowed entirely on listening!

Logan’s fearful posture vanished in a flash of pure predatory intent.

With a mental command, he yanked the razor-sharp seedling blade straight out of his inventory pouch!

A flash of silver ripped through the air!

Fast!

Unfathomably fast!

The scar-faced leader didn’t even register the movement. He only saw a blur as a cold wave of lethal dread exploded in his gut.

He instinctively tried to step back and heave his battleaxe up to block.

Too slow.

*Splat!*

The sickening sound of steel shearing through flesh echoed sharply.

Logan’s blade slashed diagonally across the leader’s left chest, the raw momentum driving the edge downward to tear open a horrific, half-foot-long gash across his torso!

"Gahhh—!"

The blinding agony wrung a blood-curdling shriek out of the leader!

He staggered backward, looking down in absolute disbelief.

Bright crimson arterial blood pumped wildly from the gaping wound, instantly soaking the front of his body.
