Punishing the Bully
Hao Yi said nothing. He simply picked up a bottle of red wine from the cabinet, yanked out the cork, and, under Murong Peng’s terrified and bewildered stare, shoved the bottle mouth into Murong Peng’s mouth and forced him to drink.
Murong Peng choked until his eyes rolled white. Some of the wine went down, but because Hao Yi poured too fast, most of it sprayed back out.
Not until the entire bottle was gone.
Only then did Hao Yi pull the bottle away and toss it aside, saying, “Clean now.”
Murong Peng, already woozy from being force-fed, heard that and realized that what Hao Yi had just done was the same thing he had mentioned over the phone earlier, ‘I’ll help wash you properly.’ Before he could even recover from the wine, he felt a gust of fist wind rush at him. The next second, a miserable scream rang out in the private room. Since the soundproofing was excellent, the people outside couldn’t hear a thing.
Murong Peng clutched his mouth and kept wailing, then tremblingly took his hand away to look. Eight teeth lay in his palm, along with blood still streaming down.
Hao Yi was very satisfied with that result. He loosened his joints, then walked over to the stunned Ding Xuan and asked, “Scared?”
Ding Xuan nodded, his eyes fixed on Murong Peng’s bloodstained mouth. He couldn’t believe that Young Master Murong, who had just been barking orders and telling the men on the floor to beat Ding Xuan, was now sprawled miserably on the sofa and couldn’t even say a single threatening word.
That gave him a surge of pleasure. Although Hao Yi’s ferocious outburst had left him shaken, he knew the young master had done it to save him.
Hao Yi reached up and took the kumquat from atop Ding Xuan’s head, holding it in his hand. His eyes swept over the bruises on Ding Xuan’s face and the knife marks on his neck. Though shallow, they had to hurt badly. He didn’t even need to think to know how Ding Xuan had been tortured before he arrived, otherwise he would not have gone wild without saying a word.
He pulled Ding Xuan down to sit on the clean sofa, then looked at Murong Peng, who was still howling, and asked, “All right, now let’s talk. Why did you bring Ding Xuan here? What money does he owe you? And how much?”
“I, I didn’t bring him here. He works here.” With the four front teeth on top and bottom gone, Murong Peng’s speech was all lisping and slurred, making Hao Yi strain to understand him.
But since Hao Yi had asked, he didn’t dare not answer. Otherwise he would definitely be made to suffer.
“Works here?” Hao Yi frowned slightly, then turned his head to look at Ding Xuan beside him. Ding Xuan immediately lowered his head and looked away nervously.
Hao Yi didn’t press him right away. He simply kept looking at Murong Peng and asked, “Then what money does he owe you? And how much?”
“No, no, he doesn’t owe me money, really he doesn’t, big brother, I was wrong!” Murong Peng hurriedly waved his hands, as if afraid that saying it too late would anger Hao Yi and get him beaten again.
“Doesn’t owe?” Hao Yi looked at Ding Xuan.
Ding Xuan said, “I came to serve this private room and delivered a bottle of red wine they had ordered. They recognized who I was, and one of them deliberately stuck out his foot. I didn’t notice and fell, and the red wine broke too. Then Young Master Murong made me pay for it, saying he had bought this bottle for eighty-eight thousand, eight hundred and eighty-eight, and that I absolutely had to compensate him!”
Everything here was extremely expensive. A bottle of wine costing eighty thousand was not unheard of. On top of that, the Murong family was one of the Five Great Clans, so spending on things like this certainly wasn’t a problem for them. And before this, the shift leader had even specifically told him that the wine was very expensive and to be careful with it. So Ding Xuan had not doubted Murong Peng’s words. He had been terrified on the spot, thinking he really would have to pay that much money.
After that, these people seized the chance to humiliate Ding Xuan and beat him savagely. So those rich young masters who had just been punched into pig faces had gotten what they deserved.
“N, no, it wasn’t that expensive, only eight thousand. Not that expensive. Just count it as my treat for Little Ding. No need to pay, no need to pay.” Murong Peng hurriedly waved his hands and told the truth about the bottle’s price, repeatedly saying Ding Xuan didn’t need to compensate him.
When Ding Xuan heard it was only eight thousand, he was furious. “How could you bully people like that!”
Murong Peng had never been bullied to this extent before. But what could he do? When Ding Xuan questioned him, resentment rose in his heart, but he still didn’t dare show it, afraid that the rest of his teeth would be knocked out too.
Hao Yi ignored Murong Peng’s explanation. Before Murong Peng could say another word, he weighed the kumquat in his hand and said, “So, that means no need to compensate?”
“Yes, yes, no need to pay.” Murong Peng nodded hastily.
“Good. Then let’s play one last game.” As he spoke, Hao Yi stood up, and Ding Xuan, curious, stood up with him.
Then Hao Yi ordered Murong Peng, “Stand up.”
“Stand right here!” Hao Yi said, pointing to the spot where Ding Xuan had just been standing.
Murong Peng walked over trembling and stood there.
“Stand straight!”
“Fine, like that.”
After saying that, he placed the kumquat on top of Murong Peng’s head. The dart he had already taken from Murong Peng was in his hand. He rolled the dart between his fingers in front of Murong Peng. Murong Peng’s eyes widened, his whole body shaking as he said, “B, big, big brother, d-don’t, don’t, someone will die if you do this… b… ah!”
After the dart flew out, Ding Xuan hurriedly turned his head away, not daring to look. Then he heard Hao Yi clap his hands and say, “All right, let’s go.”
Ding Xuan turned back to look and was startled. So amazing, the dart had actually pinned the kumquat in place!
And when Murong Peng touched the kumquat on his head and the dart stuck in it, he immediately let out a breath of relief, then rolled his eyes and collapsed to the floor…
