The narrow corridor had become a world of blood.

Like a scene straight out of hell.

It felt as if blood might seep out from every surface at any moment.Full novel: Psychic in Marvel World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Alex stood quietly in the center of a crimson pool.

Katana in hand.

Eyes closed.

His casual clothes had long been dyed red by splattered blood.

Around him lay a horrifying scene.

Bullet casings.

Weapons.

Combat uniforms.

Scattered everywhere.

Yet strangely—

There were no bodies.

Because all the corpses had already vanished.

Silence filled the corridor.

Alex stood motionless.

Perfectly straight.

But he wasn’t regretting what he’d done.

Nor mourning.

He was enduring pain.

Intense pain.

After slaughtering and devouring every soldier who attacked him—

A sharp agony suddenly erupted inside both eyes.

A familiar pain.

Yet strangely unfamiliar.

And the instant he felt it—

Joy filled his heart.

Because he knew what it meant.

After years of accumulation—

The Annihilation Eyes had finally absorbed enough spiritual energy.

Following Clairvoyance—

A new eye technique was about to be born.

“Ugh…”

Alex gritted his teeth.

Low groans escaped his mouth.

It felt like countless ants were gnawing on his eyes.

Even someone with his inhuman endurance struggled to bear it.

His body, permanently strengthened by years of evolution, still couldn’t resist the pain.

Yet through the suffering—

He sensed something.

Something mysterious.

Growing.

Developing.

Changing inside his eyes.

The pain and itch mixed together.

But none of it could suppress his excitement.

In this world filled with superheroes and supervillains—

His eyes were his greatest weapon.

The stronger they evolved—

The safer he’d become.

And now…

Another evolution had arrived.

What was a little pain compared to that?

About ten minutes later—

The agony finally began fading.

Then—

At the exact instant it disappeared—

A wave of indescribable comfort exploded through his eyes.

The sensation spread throughout his entire body.

Alex slowly exhaled.

“Haa…”

Relaxing, he opened his eyes.

Then looked around.

Instantly—

He felt the difference.

Everything looked clearer.

Sharper.

The movement of every object…

Its trajectory…

Everything became absurdly easy to understand.

Then suddenly—

Information flooded into his brain.

Alex swayed briefly.

A moment later—

He steadied himself.

The knowledge had already been absorbed.

“Demon Eyes…”

“So this is the new ability?”

“And it even comes with bonus skills…”

Alex looked at his reflection in the katana.

As a hardcore anime fan, Alex immediately recognized the origin.

In another series, Demon Eyes represented swordsmen of the Shinmei-style surpassing human limits and reaching the realm of gods and demons.

Normally—

One reached that state first.

Then obtained the eyes.

But Alex had skipped the process entirely.

He obtained the result first.

The cause later.

Which meant—

The moment his Demon Eyes awakened—

He instantly became a god-level Shinmei swordsman.

“No wonder…”

“It took years to evolve.”

“This thing is ridiculously powerful.”

The polished blade reflected his new eyes.

Pure blood-red.

No impurities.

At first glance they resembled the Annihilation Eyes.

But they lacked the crimson crosses.

Only endless scarlet remained.

No emotions.

No killing intent.

Nothing.

Only…

Absolute calm.

Terrifying calm.

The kind of calm that could freeze someone’s blood.

A true swordsman needed calmness.

No matter the situation.

And a god-level swordsman?

Their composure was beyond human understanding.

Now—

Alex possessed that same terrifying state.

He sighed.

“These eyes are so calm…”

“I almost don’t feel human anymore.”

After joking to himself, he glanced around.

Then started walking.

Time to visit those imprisoned mutants.

Elsewhere—

CLANG!

CLANG!

CLANG!

Adamantium claws collided violently with bone claws.

Sparks exploded everywhere.

Two figures fought savagely before Silver Fox.

Brothers killing brothers.

Wolverine and Sabretooth had survived wars.

World Wars.

Countless battles.

Their combat experience was absurd.

Every strike targeted fatal points.

Even with healing abilities—

A clean hit could decide everything.

CLANG!

Sabretooth suddenly knocked Logan’s guard aside.

His left claw slashed.

Logan barely dodged—

Yet a deep wound tore across his body.

Bone became visible.

Victor grinned.

“Still weak as ever, Logan.”

With a powerful leap he charged.

One claw for the head.

One for the chest.

Fast.

Deadly.

But Logan knew Victor too well.

The instant Victor pounced—

Logan dropped backward.

Then kicked upward with full force.

BANG!

Victor flew through the air.

Smashing into the ceiling before crashing back down.

Ordinary people would’ve died instantly.

Victor simply stood back up.

Immediately.

His face twisted with anger.

“Victor…”

Logan slowly rose.

Not even a scar remained.

Both Wolverine and Sabretooth possessed insane regeneration.

Unless killed instantly—

They simply kept coming back.

In fact—

That healing factor was why Logan survived Stryker’s brutal experiment.

Without it—

The molten Adamantium would’ve killed him instantly.

Victor glared murderously.

Bone claws emerged again.

“You pissed me off, Logan.”

“This time…”

“I’m killing you.”

Logan extended his Adamantium claws.

“Good.”

“We’ve got a lot to settle too.”

Today—

He intended to end everything.

Nearby, Silver Fox watched anxiously.

But she could do nothing.

After the truth came out—

She no longer had the right to interfere.

Elsewhere—

General Monson hurried toward Weapon Eleven’s containment chamber.

Seeing the door still closed, he relaxed slightly.

“Good…”

“Stryker hasn’t activated him yet.”

He turned toward the soldiers.

“Return to the command room.”

“I need a private talk with Major Stryker.”

They saluted and left.

Monson entered.

Inside—

Stryker stood beside Weapon Eleven.

Head lowered.

“Major Stryker.”

“What exactly are you doing?”

“I told everyone—nobody touches Weapon Eleven without my permission.”

“Are you defying orders?”

Stryker looked up.

Surprised.

“No…”

“I was only—”

“Enough.”

Monson interrupted immediately.

“Your presence here already says enough.”

“If you don’t want to spend the rest of your life in prison…”

“Leave.”

“That’s an order.”

Stryker lowered his head.

“Understood, General…”

But hidden beneath his lowered gaze—

Madness flashed.

Monson relaxed.

Seeing Weapon Eleven untouched, he finally turned around.

Ready to leave.

Then—

Stryker moved.

Fast.

STAB

A sharp weapon pierced straight through Monson’s body.

The General froze.

Slowly turning around—

Disbelief filled his face.

“Stryker…”

“You…”

He never imagined this man—

The obedient subordinate he’d always known—

Would actually try to kill him.

Only now did he realize:

He’d never truly understood Stryker.

A moment later—

He collapsed.

Life faded rapidly from his body.

Stryker looked down coldly.

Then tossed away the weapon.

“Hmph.”

Without another glance—

He turned back toward Weapon Eleven.

Because outside—

A perfect experimental subject…

Was still waiting for him.
