After walking out of the room that looked like hell itself, Alex had only taken a few steps when he suddenly encountered over a dozen fully armed soldiers.

The instant they saw him—

RATATATATAT!!

More than ten submachine guns erupted with fire at once.

Bullets screamed toward Alex.

“Seeking death.”

Alex smiled.

The way he looked at them was no different from looking at corpses.

Then—

He vanished.

In the next instant, he had already appeared directly beside them.

The Adamantium katana slashed downward with a sharp, deadly whistle.

SHHK!

SHHK!

SHHK!

A faint sound echoed.

Then—

The soldiers stopped moving.

Their fingers froze on the triggers.

Their bodies stood perfectly still.

Like statues.

Like time itself had stopped.

What happened?

Simple.

The moment Alex appeared beside them—

The Adamantium blade had already harvested their lives like the Grim Reaper’s scythe.

Everything happened in an instant.

Absolute silence.

Alex calmly spun the katana through several elegant flourishes before sheathing it behind his back.

Two seconds passed.

Only then did the soldiers finally react.

Their eyes filled with terror.

Regret.

And desperate longing to live.

Slowly—

Mechanically—

They lowered their heads.

Across every one of their stomachs was a perfectly straight line.

Blood slowly seeped outward.

Then—

SPLAAAASH!!!!

Blood exploded upward like fountains in a park.

Bodies collapsed heavily.

The corridor instantly turned crimson.

One after another—

They fell.

Filled with unwillingness.

Confusion.

And despair.

Until death arrived, none of them understood what had happened.

He had only gotten close.

He hadn’t moved.

Right?

Then—

When did he draw the sword?

When did he attack?

How?

Why?

Unfortunately—

Alex had no interest in explaining anything.

The last thing they felt was their bodies hitting the floor.

Then darkness.

“Shinmei Style — Iaijutsu.”

This was one of the sword techniques granted by Demon Eyes.

Also the most basic and fundamental technique of Shinmei swordsmanship.

According to its original setting—

Shinmei Style belonged to Yin-Yang sword arts.

Its techniques were divided into four categories:

Normal sword techniquesUltimate techniquesSecret sword techniquesAuxiliary arts like martial skills and defenses Iaijutsu belonged to the first category.

Basic sword techniques.

Yet it was also the foundation for advanced techniques like:

May Rain Slash and

Flying Swallow Mist Draw Slash

Those techniques were impossible.

Even ultimate techniques like:

Hundred Flowers Chaos Slash and

Hundred Cherry Blossom Barrage could never reach perfection.

Because if your draw speed was too slow—

The enemy would interrupt you.

Iaijutsu pursued two things:

Speed.

Explosive power.

And unfortunately—

Those were Alex’s specialties.

After years of enhancement by the Annihilation Eyes, his speed and explosive force had long surpassed humanity.

Forty meters per second.

That alone explained everything.

Alex glanced toward the corpses.

Smiling faintly:

“Anyone who wants my life dies.”

“Hopefully you avoid me in your next one.”

Then, being a “waste not” kind of person—

He switched to the Annihilation Eyes.

And devoured them all.

After evolving Demon Eyes—

Alex realized something important.

His abilities now possessed direct offensive power.

Previously, the Annihilation Eyes forced him to rely entirely on his body.

But now?

That weakness had begun disappearing.

He needed more spiritual power.

Much more.

Until now—

The Annihilation Eyes passively absorbed spiritual energy from the air.

Alex had never been able to consciously use it.

But Demon Eyes changed everything.

Now—

His combat power had jumped several levels.

Before Demon Eyes—

Alex was merely a warrior who could fight a hundred people.

After Demon Eyes—

He became a Terminator.

One versus a hundred?

One versus a thousand?

Ten thousand?

Potentially possible.

Of course—

New power brought new problems.

Energy consumption.

Anything relying on spiritual energy or life force had one weakness:

Fuel.

No matter how good a gun was—

Without bullets, it became junk.

Alex finally realized:

He needed to start solving that issue.

As pure spiritual power flowed into the Annihilation Eyes—

He could clearly feel his body’s strength improving.

His reserves increased too.

Finished with that—

Alex stood upright.

“Alright.”

“My business here is done.”

“Now…”

“Let’s find those mutants.”

He switched to Clairvoyance.

His vision instantly pierced through walls.

Objects.

Distance.

Large iron cages soon appeared in his sight.

Inside them—

Humans.

Mutants.

Locked up like animals.

“Three hundred meters.”

“Straight ahead.”

“Pretty close.”

He withdrew his gaze.

Walking toward a nearby wall—

Alex raised the Adamantium blade.

Since he already knew where he was going—

There was no reason to follow roads.

Breaking through directly was faster.

Besides—

This wasn’t his property.

Destroying everything cost him nothing.

“Open up!”

No sword technique.

No fancy moves.

Just pure monstrous strength.

BOOOOM!!

The Adamantium blade cut straight through the wall.

A human-sized opening appeared instantly.

Alex laughed and walked through.

Thankfully—

Adamantium lived up to its title as the strongest metal on Earth.

Otherwise, Alex’s reckless behavior would’ve been a tragedy.

BOOM!!

BOOM!!

BOOM!!

Wall after wall exploded.

Under Alex’s absurd strength and the Adamantium blade—

The expensive facility walls might as well have been tofu.

He simply carved a straight path toward the mutant holding area.

Far away—

Another explosion shook the ground.

The mutant prisoners panicked.

A female mutant looked nervously toward her roommate.

“White Queen…”

“What was that?”

The girl known as White Queen frowned.

“I don’t know…”

Then—

BOOOOM!!

Another explosion.

Closer.

Stronger.

The ground trembled violently.

“What’s happening?!”

“Earthquake?!”

“Let us out!”

“OPEN THE DOORS!”

The mutants panicked.

Shouting.

Banging on cage doors.

But strangely—

No soldiers came.

Not one.

Which terrified them even more.

Had the humans abandoned them?

Were they planning to bury everyone alive?

Suddenly—

White Queen shouted loudly:

“Everyone!”

“Remember what I said earlier?”

The room fell silent.

Everyone looked toward her.

Her roommate stared in excitement.

“You mean…”

White Queen nodded.

Smiling.

“That’s right.”

“Someone came to save us.”

“I can feel it.”

“He’s almost—”

BOOOOM!!!

Before she could finish—

A nearby wall exploded.

Bricks flew everywhere.

A huge man-sized hole appeared.

Several mutants screamed in terror.

White Queen stared blankly.

Her expression turned strange.

“Wait…”

“That shouldn’t be possible…”

“How did he get here this fast?!”
