Alex rushed toward his target at incredible speed.

Every sealed metal door in his path was violently torn apart.

The base’s blaring alarms screamed nonstop—Full novel: Psychic in Marvel World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

But they couldn’t distract him in the slightest.

“RATATATATATATA—!!”

Countless bullets ripped through the air.

They rained around Alex, slamming into floors and metal equipment, throwing sparks everywhere.

The situation was beginning to spiral out of control.

General Monson had finally lost patience.

He directly mobilized most of the island’s soldiers to hunt Alex down.

Within moments—

Another hundred to two hundred fully armed troops joined the operation.

At the same time, sniper teams—including the three elite snipers—moved ahead and occupied favorable positions.

Hidden behind cover, they waited patiently.

Searching for the perfect shot.

Their rifles weren’t ordinary weapons.

These were large-caliber anti-material sniper rifles.

Weapons powerful enough to punch through tanks.

One clean shot—

One opportunity—

And Alex would die.

That was what a true sniper believed.

One shot.

One kill.

“These soldiers are mentally tougher than I thought…”

Alex smiled while rapidly moving through the base.

“They’re still not afraid of me.”

Suddenly—

His pupils shrank.

Without warning he leapt backward.

His body flipped through the air several times before landing steadily.

BANG!!

The instant he moved—

The ground where he’d stood exploded apart.

A bowl-sized crater appeared.

Smoke rose into the air.

Another sniper.

Alex’s expression tightened.

Without hesitation, he resumed his unpredictable zig-zag movement.

Even though his danger sense had saved him again—

He couldn’t afford carelessness.

Who knew if his instincts would always work?

But instead of fear—

A grin spread across his face.

“This feeling…”

“Brushing against death…”

“Having death waiting around every corner…”

“Now THIS is exciting.”

“THIS is real combat.”

“This is what men love!”

His movements became even faster.

“Shit!

He dodged again!”

One sniper slammed his fist down angrily.

He immediately stood up.

His position was compromised.

Time to relocate.

“Even our ace sniper can’t hit him…”

“This guy’s ridiculous.”

“So this is a mutant…”

“Dear God…”

“Humans can’t beat monsters like this…”

The soldiers’ morale began wavering.

Seeing this, the captain quickly shouted:

“Don’t panic!”

“No matter how strong he is—he’s still one person!”

“If we all fire together, we can kill him!”

“The captain’s right!”

The soldiers regained some courage.

And resumed firing.

Bullets.

Rockets.

Everything they had.

All aimed at Alex.

A secretary nervously reported:

“General!

The target is rapidly approaching Laboratory Four!”

“Our soldiers can’t stop him!”

Monson immediately barked orders:

“Have outer units continue pursuit!”

“Coordinate with laboratory defenses!”

“Kill him!”

“You MUST kill him!”

“Tell the soldiers this battle determines their loyalty to their country!”

Then suddenly—

He frowned.

“Where’s Major Stryker?”

“Why isn’t he in the command room?”

The secretary hesitated.

“W-Well…”

Under Monson’s increasingly severe stare, he finally answered:

“Major Stryker went to Weapon Eleven’s containment area ten minutes ago…”

Monson’s expression exploded.

“That bastard!”

“Weapon Eleven’s mental condition is unstable!”

“If something happens…”

“No.”

“I need to stop him.”

Pushing past the secretary, Monson immediately left with two soldiers.

Meanwhile—

Wolverine, who had come seeking revenge against Stryker…

Encountered someone impossible.

A woman.

Someone he believed had died.

Silver Fox.

“Kayla…”

“Why…”

“You…?”

Logan stared at her in disbelief.

There wasn’t joy on his face.

Only shock.

The feeling that the world itself had betrayed him.

Kayla lowered her head.

“Logan…”

“I’m sorry.”

She wanted to explain.

But the words never came.

No matter her reasons—

Lies were still lies.

Excuses changed nothing.

Logan gave a bitter smile.

“Sorry?”

He stared silently.

Waiting.

He needed answers.

But before Kayla spoke—

Another voice interrupted.

“Brother…”

“I told you before.”

“This woman wasn’t worth it.”

Logan froze.

Then slowly turned.

Emerging from the shadows—

Victor.

Sabretooth.

His older brother.

Logan looked between Victor and Kayla.

Then laughed painfully.

“So you two were together from the start.”

“I’m an idiot.”

“A complete idiot.”

“You played me perfectly.”

“No!”

Kayla rushed forward.

“Logan, listen to me—”

But Victor interrupted.

Almost intentionally.

“He’s right.”

“She was Stryker’s pawn.” New chapters come out on g.com first.

“Everything…”

“Meeting you.”

“Getting close.”

“Falling in love.”

“Even her death.”

“Planned from the beginning.”

Victor smiled.

“Is it true?”

Logan looked toward Kayla.

Silence.

Then—

“Yes.”

Kayla lowered her head.

“But—”

Victor interrupted yet again.

“Brother…”

“I’m the only one who’s ever needed you.”

“Come back.”

“If we work together…”

“We can have everything.”

He extended his hand.

Slowly walking toward Logan.

Logan stared.

Today felt cursed.

The woman he loved had lied to him.

The brother he’d left behind still wanted him back.

Truth.

Lies.

Betrayal.

Everything felt absurd.

“Logan…”

“Don’t listen to him…”

Kayla pleaded.

Neither man looked at her.

“Come on.”

“I’ve always been waiting for you.”

Victor slowly stepped closer.

Hand still extended.

Waiting.

But Logan shook his head.

“Victor…”

“You know I can’t work with you again.”

“We’ve still got unfinished business.”

Victor smiled.

Not surprised at all.

“Really?”

“That’s disappointing.”

“We’re brothers.”

“We should stand together.”

“Since you’re still this stubborn…”

“Guess I’ll have to teach you…”

“How the world really works.”

Before he even finished—

SHING!

Sharp bone claws suddenly erupted from Victor’s hand and slashed toward Logan’s face.

CLANG!

Logan reacted instantly.

Metal claws met bone claws.

Sparks exploded.

“Victor…”

“Still playing dirty.”

Logan locked Victor’s right claw with both hands—

Then kicked toward his chest.

Victor laughed.

“Heh.”

Bone claws emerged from his other hand too.

He blocked the kick.

Swiped upward.

Knocking Logan’s claws aside.

The brothers separated.

Eyes locked.

The air froze.

A battle between blood brothers—

Was about to begin.
