Jay’s pov :

Keifer’s words kept echoing inside my head.

For a few seconds, I simply stood there.

I looked at him.

Then at the others.

Sixteen boys.

The same people I had laughed with.

The same people I had trusted.

The same people I had believed would never intentionally hurt me.

And yet…

here we were.

I didn’t cry.

I didn’t scream.

I didn’t even ask why.

I simply smiled.

A small, almost peaceful smile.

Because sometimes, when something hurts too much…

you stop reacting.

Keifer crossed his arms.

Keifer: “Do you really think this is a joke? You seriously thought I would fall for someone like you? You have no fashion sense. You’re nothing but a tomboy.”

I stared at him for a moment.

Then I laughed softly.

Jayjay: “That’s it?”

Keifer frowned.

I tilted my head.

Jayjay: “After everything you just admitted, that’s the best insult you could come up with?”

Nobody spoke.

I took one slow step forward.

Jayjay: “You used me.”

Another step.

Jayjay: “You made a plan.”

Another.

Jayjay: “You involved everyone.”

I looked around the classroom.

Jayjay: “And after all of that…”

I smiled.

Jayjay: “You’re worried about my fashion sense?”

Silence.

Absolute silence.

Keifer’s expression tightened.

I continued calmly.

Jayjay: “You know what, Keifer?”

I shrugged.

Jayjay: “Maybe you’re right.”

Everyone looked at me.

Jayjay: “Maybe I’m not fashionable.”

I paused.

Then smiled again.

Jayjay: “But at least I don’t need someone’s money to make people stay around me.”

Keifer’s expression immediately changed.

The room became completely still.

I looked directly into his eyes.

Jayjay: “Tell me something.”

My voice remained calm.

Jayjay: “What happened to your two fashionable ex-girlfriends?”

Keifer froze.

I raised an eyebrow.

Jayjay: “Why did they leave?”

No answer.

Jayjay: “Was it because they suddenly discovered your personality?”

A few people lowered their eyes.

I gave a small smile.

Jayjay: “Or did they finally realize that your money was the only interesting thing about you?”

Nobody laughed.

Nobody dared to.

The silence became heavier.

I looked around Section E one last time.

Jayjay: “And you all knew.”

My voice wasn’t angry.

That somehow made it worse.

Jayjay: “You all knew what he was doing.”

No one answered.

I nodded slowly.

Jayjay: “Interesting.”

I took a breath.

Jayjay: “You know what hurts?”

Everyone looked at me.

Jayjay: “Not the plan.”

I smiled faintly.

Jayjay: “Not even Keifer.”

My eyes moved across every face.

Jayjay: “It’s realizing that I trusted people who were perfectly comfortable watching me trust them.”

Silence.

No one could say anything.

Because there was nothing to say.

I looked back at Keifer.

Jayjay: “So congratulations, Mr. Watson.”

A tiny smile appeared on my lips.

Jayjay: “You completed your plan.”

I paused.

Jayjay: “But don’t confuse my silence with weakness.”

My smile disappeared.

Jayjay: “I’m quiet because I’m choosing not to say everything I’m thinking.”

The entire classroom went still.

Even Keifer had nothing to say.

I picked up my bag.

Jayjay: “And honestly?”

I looked at him one last time.

Jayjay: “I’m not angry that you thought I was easy to fool.”

A pause.

Jayjay: “I’m disappointed that I thought you were worth trusting.”

No one moved.

No one spoke.

For the first time since Keifer had revealed his plan…

Section E had nothing to say.

I turned toward the door.

My face remained calm.

My steps remained steady.

I didn’t cry.

I didn’t look back.
