Wu Hui had come down in a hurry, wearing only thin pajamas. It was only when he felt the warmth of Pei Huaiye’s body that he realized how cold he was.
He snuggled closer into Pei Huaiye’s embrace and slipped his hands into the pockets of the other man’s jacket.
“Feeling uncomfortable again?” Wu Hui asked in a soft voice. “We have been holding hands all day.”
Pei Huaiye hugged him tighter, his arms trembling with intensity. “My hands are still full of the sensation of touching you, yet in reality, there is nothing but the cold air. It is becoming increasingly difficult to endure. Nothing works; I just want to touch you immediately.”
“You only want to touch me? Can others not do it?”
“Others will not do.”
Ever since their collision at the basketball court, it was as if a dormant demon had been awakened within him. He felt an incessant need to be stroked and touched. What he could once control had now reached a point where even a moment without contact was unbearable.
Holding hands and hugging were no longer enough; he wanted something deeper.
Wu Hui sighed. “You were just standing here. What would you have done if I had not come down, or if I had fallen asleep? Would you have come upstairs to find me?”
Pei Huaiye replied, “If you had not come down, I would have gone back.”
But he had come down.
Pei Huaiye pressed him tightly against his chest. “Move into my dormitory and live with me, will you?”
“My bed is big enough for two.”
“Just to sleep?”
“It can be more than that.”
Pei Huaiye rubbed his face against Wu Hui’s ears and ran his fingers through his hair, continuously leaving his scent on him, much like a male animal marking his prey.
Wu Hui felt ticklish from the rubbing. “If I do not agree, would that not be heartless?”
“You can refuse,” Pei Huaiye whispered in his ear. “But I hope you agree for my sake.”
Wu Hui, whose hands had finally warmed up, touched Pei Huaiye’s face. “You are very cunning.”
Wu Hui went to Pei Huaiye’s dormitory.
He sent a message to Jiang Liexing, telling him he would not be returning and to remember to lock the door.
Jiang Liexing: [???]
Jiang Liexing: [It is fine. You may cohabit with the Crown Prince; I have made other arrangements for the room.]
Wu Hui had never been to Pei Huaiye’s dorm, though he had seen it on a projector before. It was a single-occupancy dormitory, decorated in a minimalist style, and fully equipped with a sofa, bedroom, and bathroom, comparable to a small apartment.
Wearing Pei Huaiye’s coat, he yawned as soon as they entered.
Pei Huaiye closed the door. “Go to sleep. I will be there in a moment.”
“Mm…”
Wu Hui was exhausted. He took off the coat, found the bed, and lay down.
When Pei Huaiye emerged from the bathroom, he saw a bundle wrapped in the quilt. The bedside lamp was on, and the person sleeping only had half of his beautiful face visible, the rest buried in the pillow, looking obedient and quiet.
Being this defenseless proved how much he truly trusted him.
Pei Huaiye climbed onto the bed and hugged him, burying his face in the crook of Wu Hui’s neck to take a deep breath, his eyes filled with satisfaction.
After getting his fill, he pulled Wu Hui’s waist close, pressing their bodies together without a gap.
Half-asleep, Wu Hui leaned into this heat source and murmured softly, “Goodnight, Gege.”
The next day, Wu Hui woke up. Before he even opened his eyes, he felt like something was wrong.
His hand moved under the quilt and brushed against a firm, toned muscle.
Wu Hui checked his clothes. They were still on him, but he could not exactly say they were fully on. His pajamas had been pushed up to his chest, and an arm was draped firmly over his waist.
Wu Hui pushed Pei Huaiye awake.
“Senior, care to explain?”
Pei Huaiye acted as if he had just woken up. His eyes, dark as ink, opened, and his voice was raspy with morning sleepiness.
“What is wrong?”
Wu Hui could not say his clothes had been taken off by the other man, as they were still technically on him, just barely.
He calmly pulled his clothes back down and accused, “Why do you not wear clothes when you sleep?”
Pei Huaiye looked down. Not at all surprised by his nudity, he offered a perfectly serious explanation: “Because I want to touch you more.”
Wu Hui was speechless.
“Senior, do you know that this kind of behavior is very likely to invite a pervert?”
Pei Huaiye paused, then chuckled. “It is okay, I am not afraid of perverts.”
Wu Hui muttered, “Boys need to protect themselves too, especially in bed.”
He sat up. “Do you sleep without clothes every night?”
Pei Huaiye usually wore clothes to sleep, but he did not say that. He simply replied, “Sleeping naked is actually very comfortable. Do you want to take yours off and sleep too?”
Wu Hui felt speechless.
Wu Hui asked for advice, “Do you just take them off directly? Is your body still intact when you wake up? Is there insurance?”
Pei Huaiye sat up as well. The quilt slipped, revealing his bare upper body—a display of powerful, masculine muscle lines that looked like a sculpted work of art.
“There is insurance,” he said sincerely. “I just wanted to sleep with you, and sleeping without clothes makes it more comfortable for me.”
“No matter which way you interpret that, it sounds questionable.”
Wu Hui could not help but admire the art of language. “Is the Senior messing with me?”
“If I were messing with you, I would not have asked for your consent.”
Wu Hui was well aware of that.
Pei Huaiye would pop up anywhere in his room, such as the sofa, the bathtub, or the bed. As long as he was there, Wu Hui rarely had a clear moment; the god’s powers were entirely devoted to their secret rendezvous.
Wu Hui did not have the habit of sleeping naked and politely declined the invitation.
Pei Huaiye looked particularly disappointed.
The matter of Wu Hui changing dorms was handled by Pei Huaiye directly with the counselor, and it was approved without question.
Pei Huaiye brought people to help move his things.
When a group of people marched into the dormitory, they nearly scared the soul out of Jiang Liexing.
Jiang Liexing dragged himself over to Wu Hui’s side, tearing up as he whined, “Chu Yu, now that you have married into a wealthy family, will you still remember me?”
Wu Hui was drinking the leftover milk from his breakfast while directing the movers. Upon hearing this, he said, “Do not misunderstand, the Senior and I are not in that kind of relationship.”
Jiang Liexing replied, “What?”
He had seen them walking upstairs holding hands with his own two eyes.
Wu Hui curled his lips. “Our relationship is very pure.”
Jiang Liexing was silent.
Jiang Liexing continued, “You two are inseparable every day. The Crown Prince accompanies you to early morning classes, holds your hand while walking, and now you have moved in to live with him, but you are just pure alumni?”
Wu Hui blinked. “Is there something wrong with that?”
There was everything wrong with that. Even standard couples were not as clingy as those two.
Jiang Liexing wiped his face. He could not understand the romance of men anymore.
“If I had to put a label on it,” Wu Hui added, “I suppose it would be a doctor-patient relationship.”
Jiang Liexing understood and gave an OK sign. So, it was roleplay.
When the items were moved to Pei Huaiye’s dorm, most of them were organized and put away by the butler. Anything that required a decision was asked to Wu Hui, or left for him to arrange later.
They ate lunch in the dorm, which was delivered by a dedicated service.
After the meal, the butler presented a contract.
“Young Master Chu, please take a look at this contract.”
Wu Hui picked at his after-meal fruit. “Is this for a kept man arrangement?”
