Hitching a shameless ride with Fu Chi into the hotel, Ji Chen assumed Fu Chi would say something, knowing that bringing an outsider along to discuss work was certainly impolite.
Yet, Fu Chi acted completely unbothered, leading him straight to the reserved private room without a moment’s hesitation.
Just as Fu Chi was about to open the door, Ji Chen snatched the initiative.
Opening the door arrogantly with his noble foot, he was met with a woman’s abruptly scorching gaze.
Ji Chen was stunned for a second. A woman?
Dressed in flashy attire with blazing red lips, the woman stood up in surprise.
“Isn’t this Young Master Ji? I actually have the honor of meeting you alone. I am Luo Dan, a project manager at Pingfeng. Having been single all this time due to focusing entirely on work, currently…”
With a posture as if she were about to introduce even her ancestors, Ji Chen realized that this damn thing was a blind date banquet!
With a deadpan expression, Ji Chen instantly lost any desire to argue with Fu Chi. Ignoring the woman’s obsequiousness, he intended to leave, but Fu Chi, who was watching the show, grabbed his shoulder at the doorway and pushed him into the room.
“Didn’t you insist on tagging along? Why are you leaving now that you’re here?”
Ji Chen glared angrily: “How dare you boss this young master around?”
Fu Chi forcefully pressed Ji Chen into a seat: “Miss Luo is so enthusiastic, leaving would be quite impolite. It is better to show some respect to ladies.”
Taking advantage of the opening, Luo Dan pushed her luck and smiled coquettishly: “Today was originally supposed to be a blind date between President Fu and me, but I never expected to run into Young Master Ji. Isn’t this fate? What are Young Master Ji’s usual hobbies?”
Seeing those brightly painted red nails about to hug his elbow, Ji Chen kept a blank expression: “I like men.”
Luo Dan’s outstretched hand froze. Glancing at Fu Chi sitting next to Ji Chen, she said with an unnatural expression, “Young Master Ji sure loves to joke.”
Ji Chen shook his head: “I never joke. Guess why I appeared here?”
Luo Dan’s expression changed drastically. Panicking and immediately standing up, she stammered, “Young Master Ji, this has nothing to do with me. I didn’t know President Fu was your person. I will decline Madam Fu’s kind intentions as soon as I get back, so Young Master Ji, please don’t misunderstand.”
The frantic clicking of high heels faded away into the distance, and the private room fell quiet.
A hand grabbed Ji Chen’s wrist, and Fu Chi wore a smile that was not quite a smile: “Like men? I’m your person?”
Feeling secretly pleased, Ji Chen looked back with an equally ambiguous smile: “That’s other people’s perspective. Did I say anything?”
His arm was squeezed with force, and the warmth of the skin and finger bones made memories of his clones surge forward.
The intimacy in those memories was completely unacceptable to Ji Chen, and his complexion gradually turned strange.
Yanking his arm away to shake off Fu Chi’s hand, he was about to stand up and leave when the other party raised a glass first and said, “A toast to Young Master Ji. I am truly sorry for rear-ending you on the road.”
Ji Chen said bluntly, “You really should apologize. With so many cars on the road, how could this young master crash into yours? It’s entirely your fault.”
“Young Master Ji is magnanimous. It is all my fault. Let me toast you three cups to express my honor at making your acquaintance.” Fu Chi’s eyes revealed just the right amount of respect.
The submissiveness currently shown by Fu Chi was completely different from his domineering demeanor in the clone’s memories, and this point left Ji Chen feeling immensely refreshed.
Regardless of whether Fu Chi was putting on an act, at least he had the upper hand right now. The sense of gratification weakened his fear of the clone’s memories, and hearing Fu Chi flatter him, he was no longer in a rush to leave.
His temper came and went swiftly. With a wonderfully pleasant mood, he picked up his wine glass and actually started drinking with Fu Chi.
Ji Chen relished the lower position Fu Chi took when facing him. As the alcohol went to his head, the joy of potentially becoming the ruler of the Great Thousand World was magnified at this moment.
He had originally been just a speck of dust, fortunate enough to take human form in the universe.
Seeing an elderly man struggling to move, he had gone up to help him walk for a bit and kindly advised, “At your age, if your legs aren’t nimble, you shouldn’t go out. It’s easy for accidents to happen.”
Then he performed a meritorious deed and was bestowed the Chaos Realm by the universe. If this wasn’t a pie falling from the sky, what was it? An extraordinarily fragrant pie.
So fragrant.
Ji Chen, already thoroughly intoxicated by the drinks, felt that the person beside him smelled truly super fragrant.
Standing up, he flung himself into Fu Chi’s arms. A head with two silver hair whorls pushed open the shirt collar, running wild against the sexy neck.
Any trace of respect instantly vanished from Fu Chi’s face, replaced by playful amusement as he lewdly gripped the back of the little young master’s neck and toyed with it: “Where is it fragrant?”
Where was it fragrant? Ji Chen couldn’t even describe it; it was simply a feeling.
Trying out a lick, he muttered that it was very fragrant.
The Adam’s apple stained with saliva bobbed, and the hand gripping the back of his neck tightened. Only upon hearing a soft expression of pain did Fu Chi come back to his senses and ease his grip.
Fu Chi forced the little young master, easily drunk by him, to meet his gaze.
“We have never interacted before, yet your hostility toward me is very heavy. Why?”
Staring into those obsidian-like phoenix eyes, Ji Chen had no idea what Fu Chi was asking. He only felt that this person was utterly odious—mere paper clippings, yet daring to insult the future supreme ruler!
Courage born from malice, he cupped that overly handsome face, opened his mouth wide, and exposed two rows of neat little white teeth.
Hmph. The intention to bite was glaringly obvious, and Fu Chi naturally wouldn’t let the little young master get his way.
Gripping his cheeks with one hand, he jammed his jawbone, which also prevented Ji Chen from closing his mouth.
His lips, stained with alcohol, shone brightly, and the brilliant crimson inside was even more scorching to the eyes. Fu Chi’s gaze shifted, carrying a trace of aggression. The thumb that had been clamping his cheeks was about to touch the vibrant red color before pulling back just in time.
Thinking that he must truly be out of his mind to waste time on a little young master.
Standing up, he hoisted the person up: “Where is your home? I’ll send you back.”
Fu Chi had wanted to act like a decent person, but alas, the little young master didn’t understand what pushing one’s luck meant.
Utterly drunk, he naturally couldn’t state where his home was.
Left with no choice, Fu Chi had to bring him home, intending to let him sleep off the alcohol before making him leave on his own. However, he had thought things far too simply.
With one sock half-slipped off and the other flung who knows where, feet so fair that pale blue veins were clearly visible wantonly trampled his bed, bouncing around merrily upon it.
A pair of misty, water-laced puppy eyes were filled with an arrogant defiance that made people want to shatter them. He extended his middle finger and pointed it downward at him: “Fu Chi, you damn G, you’ll be pulling a permanent shift in the proctology department sooner or later.”
Fu Chi’s expression shifted continuously. Staring at the out-of-it creature, his aura gradually turned weird.
“I’m a G? How did you know that?” He had never defined his sexual orientation since he had never encountered anyone who moved his heart, but what right did this little young master have to be more certain of it than he was?
Not knowing which landmine this remark stepped on, the heavy drinker transformed into a little madman, leaping off the bed and swinging his fists.
His swaying body made even simple targeting impossible. Fu Chi looked with mockery as that fist began to drop before it even reached his eyes.
When the fist landed below Fu Chi’s waistline, it stopped mid-air. Ji Chen, bent over double, seemed extremely uncomfortable, clutching his chest and plunging forward.
The fist struck dead center, and he even threw up all over Fu Chi.
Fu Chi let out a hiss, arched his body, and wore an expression of unprecedented hideousness.
After standing by the wall for a while, he hurriedly changed his clothes, cast a murderous glare at the creature sleeping on the floor amidst the vomit, and drove straight to the hospital to register for the emergency department.
