Miao Yang tidied up his files carelessly and skipped work with Shi Lan. He was dragged away by the back of his neck.
Shi Lan took him to the racetrack. A servant brought over Shi Lan’s horse, Taying. Shi Lan gripped Miao Yang’s waist and hoisted him onto the horse’s back in one swift motion. Before Miao Yang could even scream for help, Shi Lan flipped onto the horse behind him, pulled the reins, kicked the horse’s flanks, and Taying galloped away.
The wind whipped across them. The altitude and speed, which Miao Yang had never experienced before, terrified him. He watched as the scenery blurred past them while they went up hills, down slopes, and over obstacles.
“Ah! Ah! Shi Lan! Shi Lan!”
Miao Yang had no idea what he looked like right now; he was completely unaware of his own expressions or behavior. He simply leaned backward instinctively. It was not until Shi Lan slowed down that the jolting sensation became much more bearable.
Miao Yang’s face was deathly pale. “That was so incredibly exhilarating.”
Shi Lan’s arm was draped firmly across his waist, providing an indescribable sense of safety at that moment. However, once the fear subsided, it was replaced by pure excitement.
“Damn, that felt good.”
Looking at the vast grassland and the horizon, he searched for the right word. Oh, yes! It was refreshing.
Shi Lan glanced at him from the side, leaned in, and planted a fleeting kiss on his jaw, which startled Miao Yang. As he turned his head slightly, Shi Lan accidentally brushed against the corner of his lips. Both of them froze. Shi Lan’s Adam’s apple bobbed, and his gaze turned dark and intense.
Miao Yang tensed up and gripped the horse’s back, wondering, If this dog of a man tries to force a kiss on me, what should I do?
Shi Lan’s sharp gaze fixed on Miao Yang’s flickering, star-like eyes as he said in a hoarse voice, “You are really ugly.”
Miao Yang asked, “What?”
He felt as though his hearing had failed him for a second. “What did you say? I did not hear you clearly.” His eyes were wide, innocent, and filled with a touch of disbelief.
The arm around Miao Yang’s waist loosened. As Shi Lan’s hand fell away, Miao Yang instantly felt as if he were about to topple over. Shi Lan’s scorching breath fell onto Miao Yang’s face; his heavy, labored breathing sounded like a wild beast.
Miao Yang remained silent.
Shi Lan caught the scent of Miao Yang. He buried his face into the crook of his neck, seemingly obsessed, feeling the other person’s tension and trembling.
It is too much! It is too much! Miao Yang shrieked like a groundhog in his heart. Help! Someone is in heat!
He turned bright red and kept glancing around, terrified that this bizarre scene might be witnessed by others.
“The horse is running away!” Miao Yang said quickly.
He unconsciously kicked the horse’s belly. Instead of running, however, the clumsy horse just spun around in place.
“Ouch!” Miao Yang did not dare move anymore.
Shi Lan rested his chin on the top of Miao Yang’s head and loosened his grip. “Guess if you fall off this horse, will you be killed or just crippled?”
Miao Yang immediately arched his brows and turned to look at him. “Brother Lan, we are civilized people. Let us do civilized things. It is broad daylight and we are on horseback; is this appropriate?”
Shi Lan leaned back, his chest pulling away from Miao Yang’s back. Miao Yang was startled and instinctively leaned backward, only feeling at ease when he was pressed tightly against the man again.
“Well, although, just cuddling a little is still okay.”
Shi Lan pressed his palm against Miao Yang’s back and pushed him forward, causing Miao Yang to almost collapse onto Taying’s neck. Just as he was about to express his dissatisfaction, Shi Lan kicked the horse’s belly hard and ordered sternly, “Move.”
Taying galloped across the grass and through the forest path. With the wind howling past them, Miao Yang screamed continuously, feeling as though he were alternately close to the ground and then soaring high above it. He was scared out of his wits.
When he dismounted, his legs were trembling, and he could not stand steadily. Since no one was there to support him, he could only cling tightly to Shi Lan. However, his cheeks were puffed up in anger; he really did not want to talk to this man.
It was too much. Not only were his legs shaking, but his inner thighs were chafed raw and burning from the saddle. He felt angry, in pain, and helpless. His little deer-like eyes were truly brimming with a hint of moisture.
168 saw that he was genuinely pushed to the limit this time.
Miao Yang lowered his head and pursed his lips, saying nothing. Shi Lan looked at his “aggrieved little wife” act, which was clearly waiting to be coaxed, and gave a tsk. “Pull yourself together! If you keep looking so pathetic, I will drag you off to feed the dogs.”
Miao Yang immediately straightened his back. Even though his legs were still shaking, he stood even straighter than he had during military training, and his eyes were wide open. “Yes, Big Brother.”
Shi Lan sneered, reached out to wrap an arm around his waist, and half-carried him away from the racetrack.
“Oh my, Brother Lan really dotes on his little darling,” the racetrack servants whispered behind them. “Yes, even if his hair looks like it was chewed off by Taying.”
Miao Yang’s hair had grown out quite a bit, but it was still uneven in patches, making him look rather comical. It would probably take a while longer before it looked good again.
He was practically being carried by Shi Lan, which helped minimize the friction between his legs. Thinking about how the man had called him ugly, Miao Yang felt defiant, thinking to himself, Just you wait until my hair grows out; I will make sure you are completely obsessed with me.
