The original host’s cousin, whom he had always treated as close family, and his childhood friend, whom he trusted implicitly, supposedly teamed up to rescue him from this hellhole. However, a far deeper conspiracy lurked beneath their offer. They secretly colluded and sold the original host to a remote mountain village, leaving him to be systematically tortured and beaten by the local old bachelors. Ultimately, the original host perished in absolute misery, bringing a tragic and desolate end to his short life.

The original host’s wish is to make his cousin and childhood friend pay the ultimate price to make those two experience a fate worse than death!]

Shi Jun’s gaze locked onto the unique mark emblazoned across Sheng Baiye’s forehead, and a tidal wave of shock crashed through his heart. That mark, distinct and unmistakable, was the exclusive proof shared between him and Gu Xiulin.

He instantly realized that this man was his lover.

For a split second, Shi Jun’s mind completely froze, and the name slipped from his lips purely out of instinct: “Gu Xiulin.” The name was deeply etched like a brand into his memory.

Sheng Baiye’s brows furrowed instantly, his expression turning as dark and heavy as spilled ink.

His voice dropped into a low, demanding interrogation. “Who is Gu Xiulin?”

A sudden wave of foreboding washed over Shi Jun. He internally bit his tongue, cursing his own loose lips.

Forcing himself to maintain his composure, he brushed it off nonchalantly. “Nobody. You misheard.”

Sheng Baiye let out a cold snort, muttering with clear dissatisfaction, “Since you are married to me, stop thinking about other men.”

Shi Jun shook his head rapidly, offering an immediate denial. “How could I? I am entirely devoted to you.” His words carried immense conviction, but the look in Sheng Baiye’s eyes made it perfectly clear that he didn’t buy a single word.

“If that’s the case, then let’s fulfill our marital obligations,” Sheng Baiye replied smoothly, his tone icy and his actions entirely direct.

Grabbing Shi Jun by the arm, he authoritatively hauled him toward the bathroom, pressing him down onto the seat right beside the vanity unit. His hands reached for Shi Jun’s clothes, his intentions glaringly obvious.

Shi Jun’s chest tightened, and he scrambled to stop him. “Wait—wait a minute!”

Sheng Baiye’s movements paused. He frowned down at Shi Jun, asking in confusion, “What’s wrong?”

Shi Jun’s mind raced as he pointed frantically toward the bedroom. “The bedroom! Let’s go to the bedroom!”

Though Sheng Baiye kept his brows knitted, he complied with the request. Leading Shi Jun across the suite, he tossed him onto the bed and immediately pressed his weight down over him.

His lips covered Shi Jun’s, his kiss burning hot and commanding. Sheng Baiye’s tongue parted Shi Jun’s teeth, deepening the kiss to claim his mouth in a sweeping, possessive embrace.

Feeling Sheng Baiye’s overwhelming presence closing in, Shi Jun’s heart rate accelerated, his cheeks flushing hot. Sheng Baiye’s technique was exceptionally practiced yet unexpectedly tender, causing Shi Jun to lose himself in the sensation despite himself.

Sheng Baiye’s fingers tangled tightly through Shi Jun’s hair, his body pressing flush against him as though he wanted to fuse their very souls into one. Shi Jun could feel Sheng Baiye’s heart drumming like a war tom-tom, his breathing growing rapid and heavy.

Shi Jun began to return the kiss, his hands gripping Sheng Baiye’s back firmly, feeling the taut lines of his muscles. His heart raced, every single cell in his body singing with desire.

Suddenly, Shi Jun’s body gave an involuntary shiver.

Sheng Baiye broke the kiss, letting out a low chuckle. “You really are sensitive.”

Shi Jun’s cheeks burned a deep crimson. He turned his head away, deliberately ignoring him.

Sheng Baiye, however, seemed to find this highly amusing. Leaning in with a provocative smirk, he pressed his lips right against Shi Jun’s ear, whispering softly, “Let me help you undress.”

Shi Jun’s eyes widened, and he immediately rejected the offer: “No need!” But before the words could fully leave his mouth, he let out a sharp gasp he felt a button on his shirt being ripped away by the man’s teeth.

Shi Jun’s eyes went completely round in astonishment. His gaze collided with Sheng Baiye’s, only to find the man’s eyes dancing with a gleam that could almost be described as playful mischief.

At this exact moment, Shi Jun realized he had vastly underestimated the complex personality hidden beneath this man’s facade.
