Suddenly, a deafening crash shattered the silence as the room door was violently kicked open by a tremendous force. Following the impact, a squad of burly men clad in tight black tactical gear stormed in like a pack of wolves and tigers, every single movement radiating lethal intent.

Caught completely off guard by this sudden turn of events, Shi Wen was visibly shaken, his face pale with shock and terror. He stared at the intruders, utterly failing to comprehend how such a thing could be happening. His eyes widened to their limits as he stared into the dark barrels of their firearms. His pupils contracted sharply, and an unprecedented wave of fear surged through his heart.

Shi Jun’s mocking voice echoed in his ears. “Did you really think you were the only one capable of hiring people?”Full novel: Quick Transmigration: The Beautiful Cannon Fodder Is Always Loved — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Stunned, Shi Wen could hardly believe his ears. He glared at Shi Jun in sheer disbelief before turning back to the armed men, his brow tightly furrowed as he demanded, “Who are these people? Where on earth did you find these desperate mercenaries?” He watched their every movement with profound dread, the dangerous aura radiating from them causing a shiver to run down his spine.

Shi Jun’s tone remained chillingly merciless. “Now, it’s my turn to do this to you.” He turned to the men who had broken in and ordered coldly, “Take care of his thugs. As for Shi Wen… I leave him to you. Play with him however you like just make sure he stays alive.”

Shi Wen whipped his head around, his gaze locking onto Shi Jun as an expression of profound fear and desperation washed over his features. “Brother, please don’t do this…”

However, Shi Jun’s voice only grew colder and more detached. “What’s the matter? It’s acceptable when you do it to me, but forbidden when I return the favor?”

With that final command from Shi Jun, Shi Wen’s heart sank straight to the abyss.

Receiving their orders, the men advanced toward Shi Wen like a pack of ravenous wolves. Terrified out of his wits, Shi Wen scrambled blindly toward the corner of the room, curling himself into a tight ball. His body shook uncontrollably, his legs buckling completely beneath the weight of his terror.

“I beg you, don’t come any closer! Don’t come over here… please!” Shi Wen’s voice broke into a desperate sob, his eyes wide with helplessness and despair.

Yet, the men did not slow their pace in the slightest because of his pleading; they continued their steady, relentless advance toward him. Tears streamed down Shi Wen’s face as his body trembled violently. Staring up at the towering figures, his heart overflowed with pure dread and agony.

With a heavy thud, his knees hit the floor. “Please, I beg of you…” Shi Wen’s voice had turned hoarse, sounding like a broken pair of bellows. “Grant me a way out.” His words drifted uselessly into the damp air, a futile prayer that failed to touch their hearts of stone.

The men surrounded him like predators circling their cornered prey. Cold smiles played on their lips, completely deaf and blind to Shi Wen’s desperation.

“Ah—!”

Shi Wen’s agonizing scream pierced the silence of the night. It was a sound like a soul being torn apart, hair-raising and terrifying to the core. In that dark corner, his shrill cries were like a freezing winter wind, causing the surrounding air to solidify into ice. The temperature seemed to plummet instantly, as if time itself had been frozen by his desperate screams.

Like a pack of hungry wolves, the men pinned Shi Wen to the ground, ruthlessly overpowering him. Every move they made carried a beastly ferocity, shattering his meager attempts at resistance into absolute dust. Shi Wen’s body felt like a piece of torn fabric, covered in injuries as blood began to stain his clothes and color his world red.

His cries for help sounded like a faint glimmer of light in the dark night weak, fragile, and utterly hopeless. “Don’t… help me… ah—!”

Eventually, his voice gradually quieted down, sinking into absolute silence. His consciousness drifted away amidst the agony, like a fallen soul plunging into a deep abyss, stripped of all strength to struggle further.

Standing back up, the men looked like predators of the night, their clothes stained with Shi Wen’s blood—a testament to their brutality. They casually brushed off their sleeves, letting the crimson droplets trace cruel arcs in the air before splattering onto the floor like blooming demonic flowers. Not a single trace of guilt or hesitation showed on their faces; there was only cold indifference.

Without wasting a single moment, they swiftly vacated the premises, leaving Shi Wen entirely alone. Like a discarded piece of rag, he lay motionless on the freezing floor, his body battered and his world plunged into complete darkness.

When Shi Wen finally woke from the agony, every single wound on his body felt like a chattering mouth, screaming of the violence he had endured. In particular, a piercing, searing pain in a certain area burned against his nerves like a branding iron, nearly forcing a bestial howl from his throat. The agony rushed over him like a torrential tide, threatening to submerge him entirely. He struggled to sit up, his frame trembling violently; every slight movement was akin to rubbing salt into his wounds, multiplying his suffering.

Looking down at his own body, Shi Wen’s heart filled with a volatile mix of rage and despair. His gaze fell upon his torso and abdomen, which looked absolutely horrific. As his fingers lightly brushed over the bruises, the cruel, terrifying images from before he blacked out rushed back into his mind.

The mercenaries’ blows had been devastatingly heavy, nearly shattering his bones. What terrified him most, however, was that during the chaos, one of the men had violently grabbed his trousers and ripped the fabric away with a sharp tear. Subsequently, under Shi Wen’s horrified watch, the man had extended a ruthless hand, as if determined to tear away both his dignity and his body simultaneously. The action had been incredibly cruel and rough, tearing not just at his skin, but seemingly striving to crush his very soul.

At the mere memory, Shi Wen couldn’t stop shaking, a wave of intense nausea rising from the depths of his chest. He clutched his chest and dry-heaved repeatedly.

“Shi Jun, I will never let you get away with this,” he hissed through tightly gritted teeth, his voice dripping with pure malice. “Since you’ve reduced me to this state, I swear I will make your life a living hell. I will tear you into ten thousand pieces!”

The moment Shi Jun stepped back into the room, he happened to catch the tail end of Shi Wen’s vicious curse. A wicked, arrogant smile curled at the corners of his lips, his eyes overflowing with absolute mockery and disdain.

Shi Wen’s voice carried a dense, suffocating hatred and agony, thick with boundless fury and a desperate resolve for vengeance. He made absolutely no effort to hide his animosity; his voice was shrill and piercing, like a sharp blade slicing through the air, enough to make anyone’s skin crawl.

The room was heavy with the thick stench of blood. Shi Wen sat slumped helplessly on the floor, the wounds across his body still oozing fresh crimson. His features were heavily contorted, his eyes ablaze with torment and hatred as his body shuddered, trapped in what seemed to be a never-ending torment.
