The first thing Si Yin did after waking up was look in the mirror.

A pair of thick black-framed glasses covered most of her face. Her hair was a mess, and her oversized sleep shirt revealed nothing but her collarbones. Aside from her pale skin, there was nothing remarkable about her appearance.

The Heavenly Dao, in the form of a fluffy white dumpling, had prepared a long explanation—but it quickly realized it was unnecessary. The little fox in front of it didn’t seem to care at all about why she had suddenly transformed or changed locations.Full novel: Quick Transmigration: The Soft Cannon Fodder Gets a Happy Ending with the Male Lead — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Si Yin simply assumed she had finally taken human form.

But… why did she feel a little short of breath?

Was transforming supposed to feel this weak?

“I’ll transfer this world’s plot to you first,” the dumpling said.

Si Yin nodded. She remembered she had a mission, so she closed her eyes and accepted the memories.

The Heavenly Dao’s form shrank into a palm-sized cloud—soft and squishy, very tempting to pinch.

The first world was a campus story.

The male lead, Lu Zhou, was Si Yin’s childhood friend—her “bro.” They had grown up together. In her memories, her parents had always told her to stay close to him, ideally marry into his family. After all, the Lu family was the number one elite household in the capital—just a small connection to them would guarantee a life of wealth.

But Si Yin believed nothing lasted longer than friendship. She had always treated Lu Zhou like a brother.

However—

She was not the female lead.

The female lead, Lin Wan, came from a poor background. She believed the only way to change her fate was through studying. She had always ranked first—until college, where reality hit her hard. She failed to get the scholarship she desperately needed.

When she confronted Bai Lu, the rich girl who had taken it, she was humiliated.

That’s when Lin Wan realized: being good at studying meant nothing compared to marrying well.

So she decided to find herself a powerful backer—and set her sights on the seemingly easy target: Si Yin.

She tried getting close to Lu Zhou through Si Yin, constantly brainwashing her, saying that if she and Lu Zhou got together, it would be best for all three of them.

Si Yin rejected her.

So Lin Wan changed tactics.

She confessed directly to Lu Zhou. Using Si Yin’s friendship as an entry point, she got closer to him while simultaneously convincing Si Yin that she shouldn’t be with him. She even lied, claiming she and Lu Zhou were already together.

Realizing her own feelings, Si Yin chose not to interfere and quietly withdrew.

Later, Lin Wan staged photos with Lu Zhou while he was drunk, becoming his “girlfriend.” With his name and money, she began taking revenge on everyone who had ever wronged her.

But it didn’t stop there.

She became a criminal—eliminating anyone who offended her.

Eventually, she turned her attention back to Si Yin.

She believed Lu Zhou refused to sleep with her because of Si Yin.

So she hired a group of men—

to assault and kill Si Yin, recording everything to blackmail Lu Zhou.

When Lu Zhou saw the photos and videos—

he broke.

He used the same methods against Lin Wan, imprisoning her and torturing her for years. She was locked in a dark basement, unable to live or die, until she finally suffocated herself.

After that—

Lu Zhou took his own life.

The entire campus world collapsed.

Si Yin flopped onto the bed with a thud, taking a deep breath. The strange tightness in her chest still hadn’t gone away.

Ever since she became close with Lu Zhou, her family’s status had risen steadily. After he came of age and moved out, she followed him as his “bro,” living next door in his villa.

Absentmindedly, she pinched the fluffy white dumpling in her hand—it was so soft.

“Aren’t you leaving yet?” she asked.

The Heavenly Dao floated in front of her, trying to get her attention—only to be mercilessly squeezed.

“Because the world is unstable, you’ll have to draw a ‘bug’ before entering each world. Otherwise, the world won’t accept you,” it explained.

(It just so happened… those bugs were a bit… embarrassing.)

Before Si Yin could even see what her bug was, the dumpling disappeared.

Oh well. She’d deal with it as it came.

After reviewing the plot in her mind, she decided to let Lin Wan experience the consequences of her own cruelty. As for everything else—she’d go with the flow.

Just then—

the door opened.

Si Yin instinctively looked up.

A tall figure—around 190 cm—stood at the doorway, dressed in white sleepwear. His features were cold and striking, yet his eyes were unexpectedly pure.

Lu Zhou had come over because she hadn’t said goodnight like she usually did.

Seeing her dazed expression, he relaxed.

“Why do you always come into my room without knocking?!”

Si Yin jumped off the bed, ready to hit him like usual.

But the next second—

her breath caught.

Her legs went weak, and she stumbled—

right into his arms.

Relieved, she sighed, “Good thing you’re here… that scared me!”

Then, without thinking, her hands wandered—like they had a mind of their own—tracing over his abs, even giving them a squeeze.

“Does it feel good?”

His warm breath brushed against her ear.

Si Yin felt her face heat up. She tried to pull away, but his arm tightened around her waist.

“Hehe… we’re bros!” she said, forcing a playful tone.

Lu Zhou fell silent.

Thinking he was upset, Si Yin added quickly, “Then you can touch me back! Go on!”

Was it really that simple?

She grabbed his hand and tried to place it on herself.

Lu Zhou steadied her shoulders, stopping her nonsense.

But the strange sensation in her body only grew stronger.

He stared at her closely.

“What’s wrong? Are you feeling sick?”

His usual teasing tone softened with concern. He removed her glasses, brushed her messy hair aside—and noticed how warm she felt.

Si Yin suddenly remembered the “bug.”

It must be because of Lu Zhou.

Clinging to him, her cheeks flushed, her voice trembling, she complained:

“It’s all your fault… I can’t breathe… you have to help me…”

Lu Zhou looked at the girl squirming in his arms.

He had never felt anything before—

but today, something was different.

A tingling sensation spread through his body, an unfamiliar itch settling in his chest.

Noticing how many layers she was wearing, he tried to comfort her while offering a suggestion:

“Don’t panic. You’re wearing clothes under your pajamas, right? Maybe you’re just too hot…”
