Bai Lu planned to lure Lin Wan out, have outside thugs ruin her, and then spread photos online to utterly destroy her reputation.

The problem was how to get Lin Wan to go. Given their rocky relationship, Bai Lu was afraid of drawing suspicion, so she stopped making Lin Wan run errands for a few days. Instead, she contented herself with flaunting her new bags, shoes, and clothes. Within days, she saw the poorly hidden jealousy in Lin Wan’s eyes.

Satisfied, Bai Lu returned to the dorm one evening, changed into a skimpy slip dress, and asked as if casually, “You’ve been serving me for a while now, and I don’t want you to say I never look out for you. There’s a party tonight full of rich heirs. Want to come?”Full novel: Quick Transmigration: The Soft Cannon Fodder Gets a Happy Ending with the Male Lead — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Lin Wan couldn’t resist the temptation. She had been working herself to the bone lately, but after crunching the numbers, she still couldn’t cover this month’s loan payment.

When they arrived at the bar, the private booth was filled with actors Bai Lu had hired for a one-time job. She had considered inviting her actual friends, but decided the more people who knew, the higher the risk. Lin Wan wasn’t stupid; she drank while subtly digging for information. She quickly realized something was off.

Bai Lu wasn’t about to let her leave. She propped Lin Wan up, claiming she was taking her home, but instead shoved her into a booth where the hired thugs were waiting.

When Lin Wan saw the men inside, their greasy, disgusting gazes immediately latched onto her. She hadn’t realized Bai Lu hated her this much.

“Don’t be in such a hurry,” Lin Wan said quickly. “I’m willing to serve you, and I won’t call the police. The person who paid you—she’s a rich heiress. How much did she give you?”

The men were only there for the money. “Three hundred thousand yuan.”

“What’s three hundred thousand? You can’t even buy a house with that. She spends a million on a single bag. She’s waiting right outside. Why don’t you bring her in? We can serve you together, and you can snap some photos of her. Once you have those, you can ask for as much money as you want, can’t you?”

Lin Wan’s logic eventually swayed them. Three hundred thousand split between several men would be gone in days.

Outside, Bai Lu heard the door open and said excitedly, “Don’t play with her so hard that she dies.”

“Come in and see if this is enough for you,” a voice replied.

Bai Lu was lured inside. When she saw Lin Wan standing there completely unharmed, she realized instantly that she had been trapped.

After that night, Bai Lu didn’t show up at school for days. Lin Wan reviewed the video on her phone and played a voice recording. In the audio, Bai Lu didn’t sound like a high-and-mighty socialite; she sounded like a whimpering dog begging for mercy, sobbing until she could barely breathe. Lin Wan smiled. So this is what revenge feels like? It was exhilarating. She would save the finishing blow for Bai Lu when the time was right.

Thanks to the fact that she had nothing left to lose but her life, she was now using Bai Lu’s money to pay off her loans. She didn’t have to work part-time anymore. Now, she just had to figure out how to punish that bitch Si Yin.

Doesn’t she just rely on Lu Zhou? I wonder how Lu Zhou will react when he finds out his woman has been ‘defiled.’ I can’t wait to see it.

Lu Zhou was glad he had listened to Si Yin and kept eyes on Lin Wan; otherwise, he wouldn’t have known how truly disgusting the woman was. Today, he received a call record from his assistant. Lin Wan was heard telling a man:

“I don’t care what methods you use. Follow the woman in this photo, and when she’s alone…”

Lu Zhou’s grip on his phone tightened until the veins on the back of his hand bulged. With a loud crash, he smashed the phone into pieces on the floor.

Woken by the noise, Si Yin emerged from the lounge. Seeing his furious expression, she walked over with a smile and nuzzled her face against his.

“Why are you so cold?” she asked, scratching his chin as if she were petting a cat. “What’s wrong?”

“That vile woman Lin Wan is trying to target you. I’ll make her regret ever being born.”

Si Yin hadn’t thought about Lin Wan since asking Lu Zhou to watch her. She didn’t expect the woman to move so quickly. When she didn’t respond immediately, Lu Zhou thought she was scared. Regretting his bluntness, he pulled her into a protective embrace.

“Don’t be afraid. As long as I’m here, no one can hurt you.”

“I know,” Si Yin replied, “but I want to deal with her myself.”

Lu Zhou was surprised by her reaction. Her beautiful eyes were full of playful curiosity. Soon, someone informed her of Lin Wan’s recent escapades, including Bai Lu’s current miserable state. Following that incident, Bai Lu had been too terrified to return to school. She had paid out two million yuan in total, but the blackmail hadn’t ended. When she was caught by her family trying to steal more money for the thugs, she was forcibly sent abroad.

Bai Lu was ruthless, but she was a bit too stupid.

Si Yin was about to open a video file when a large hand covered her eyes. “Don’t look. It’s filthy.” Lu Zhou’s head was pressed against the back of her ear; his warm breath sent shivers down her spine.

Si Yin quickly wriggled out of his grip and ran barefoot back toward the lounge. “What do you plan to do?”

Lu Zhou knew there was business to handle and stopped playing around. He followed her inside. Lin Wan was like a ticking time bomb; he wouldn’t be at peace until she was dealt with.

Si Yin shared her plan. When Bai Lu was around, Lin Wan and the thugs were on the same side. But now that Bai Lu was gone and the money had stopped flowing, they would eventually turn on each other—especially since Lin Wan still needed things from them.

“We just need to show those thugs that we aren’t people to be messed with. Give them a little ‘lesson,’ and they’ll definitely blame Lin Wan for it. Let the dogs eat dogs. As for Bai Lu, she hates Lin Wan so much. We just need to give her a ‘lead.’ When Lin Wan has nowhere left to run, we’ll arrange for her to be sent abroad. Imagine what Bai Lu will do to her then.”

“What do you think? Am I smart or what?”

The next second, Si Yin was tackled onto the bed without warning, her gasp swallowed by Lu Zhou.

After an indeterminate amount of time, Lu Zhou looked up with a captivating, heavy gaze. Si Yin tried to shrink back, but with the bed behind her, she only ended up closer to him. Feeling a bit embarrassed, she squeezed her eyes shut, her fluttering eyelashes betraying her internal turmoil.

Lu Zhou let out a soft chuckle. Because they were so close, Si Yin felt the vibration of his chest. Her face turned even redder, and she punched him lightly in the chest. “Get up, hurry!”

“Baby, I love you so much. To think you’d consider so much for me—worrying about me getting my hands dirty and thinking through all these twists and turns. Don’t worry about the rest; I’ll handle it.”

Si Yin grumbled a bit, only realizing after a moment that he had completely misinterpreted her motives… but the feeling wasn’t bad. She wasn’t one to be stingy with affection. With a gentle push, she flipped him over so she was looking down at him. Her small hand hooked his chin, tilting it up. She leaned in, tentatively extending the tip of her tongue…

Ahhhh! On the rare occasion his baby was the aggressor, Lu Zhou wasn’t about to let the opportunity slip by. By the time Si Yin was exhausted and tried to pull away, he wouldn’t allow it, immediately pressing back over her.

Since getting together with Si Yin, Lu Zhou had switched from working out once a day to twice a day—morning and night. He was terrified his baby might find his physique lacking and be seduced by some “wild man” outside. The results were obvious; it didn’t take long before Si Yin was panting for air, her toes curling involuntarily.

Once Si Yin fell asleep, Lu Zhou took his phone and quietly left the lounge.
