I breathed in the scent wafting off my pillows, enjoying the way Sable’s scent made me feel comforted all over. She’d just left this morning, and yet I was still here basking in bed like a lazy fox.

I rolled over, enjoying the sensation of my tails layered around me like a cozy cocoon of pink fluff. My bed wasn’t super comfy, but my tails more than made up for it. I couldn’t imagine a life without them… I’d be sad to see them go once I left this world, to be honest. I had a feeling there was a lot I’d probably miss.

Like Sable, for one. It was a weird thought considering my circumstances. I was contracted to a ero patron. Sleeping around was basically my divine duty. I was supposed to enjoy myself, pursue pleasure, and make connections. At least, as far as I could tell. Not like I’d received a ton of guidance from Afterglow so far and my memory loss certainly didn’t help.Full novel: Quick Transmigration: Why Are All My Worlds So Lewd?! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

I hadn’t really thought about it, but establishing relationships would inevitably make leaving painful. It was part of the reason I hadn’t called her recently… It was one thing to enjoy someone’s company and have a little fun. It was another to spend day after day with them, learn their habits and quirks, look forward to seeing them at the end of every day, and fall madly in love with them.

It was like getting a dog, kinda. I could love it with everything I had, give it the best life possible, and then have to watch it grow old and die. It was awful… and yet part of me yearned for that connection. It was even more selfish considering I’d be the one leaving the dog behind to live on.

Ugh, I missed streaming. I didn’t have to think too deeply about any of this. I had ten years here. Ten years and then I was gone. Whatever I built here would be left behind… it was sobering and sad at the same time.

If I let myself get close to someone, what then? It could be Sable, or Willow, or even someone I hadn’t met yet. They’d have to keep living, probably thinking that I died. How was that fair? Wasn’t I just being selfish?

The smart thing would be to just keep things casual like I had been. I could enjoy the fun, the company, and never let it become something more than that. Except… I wanted more than I thought.

I liked Sable. I really did. I wanted to know the parts of her that she didn’t show anyone else. If I was being honest, I wanted her to know me just as well. I wasn’t sure how often I fell in love in the past before my memory loss, but did I know back then what I’d be going through? Was that the reason I picked an abandoned, lonely island away from everything else the first time around?

It’d only been a month, anyway. Right, I was just overthinking things. We were having casual sex and nothing more, even if she did make me feel like it was just me and her in the world. I had a date tonight anyway, and I’d hopefully be banging a certain unicorn. It wasn’t like we were anything exclusive by any means.

”I have arrived!” An excited shout echoed across my apartment, and Selene popped out of this air with her hand shaped into a triumphant V. “Let’s get this—EEP! S-SEREN!”

”What?” I lazily sat up and stretched out. The motion caused my breasts to bounce. They weren’t as massive as Sable’s, but they weren’t small by any means.

“P-put on some clothes!” Selene flushed all the way from her cheeks up to her long, elf-like ears. Her hands shot up to cover her face, though she peeked out through her fingers to look at me like I wouldn’t notice. “W-why do you always do this to me?”

”You’re the one that showed up unannounced.” My tail draped across my lap, covering myself up. A moment later, I hugged one of my cozy tails to my chest and leaned heavily on it like it was a pillow. “Better?”

”A b-bit.” Selene was still flushed a cute shade of red. Today was my lazy day, though, so it was the best she was going to get. At least until later tonight. I had a hot date with a certain endowed unicorn in the cards tonight.

“What brings you by?” I muttered around my fluffy fur.

“Your system upgrade!” Selene forgot all about her embarrassment, and flicked her hand. A pink glow erupted from her as my system popped up in front of my eyes.

“I thought you said this was an upgrade?” Achievements was gone. I hadn’t actually managed to achieve anything else after that one for being taken in by Blue Light.

”I had to make space! Do you have any idea how complicated it is to work this thing?” The fairy dropped down onto one of my tails, and kicked her legs back to rest her wings. “I’m just a fairy!”

“You can earn Pleasure Points, and use that to draw a card!” Selene leaned forward to whisper to me. “But be careful, for there be many powers and abilities that might not be helpful.”

“Oh. Cool.” I dropped my hand down to play with my pus—

“What are you doing!?” Selene punched my tail. She was tiny, so it felt more like a mosquito bite than anything.

“Hey!” I raised my hands in surrender. “I need pleasure points, don’t I?”

”You already have some!” Selene crossed her arms over her chest and lifted her head proudly. The blush across her face, which had only just started to fade, was back in full force though. “Your great fairy managed to award some retroactively.”

”Why didn’t you just say that?” And here I was trying to get into the mood again. I shook my head with a tsk and opened Afterglow’s Deck of Many Things.

Pleasure Points: 3

—Enhancement

—Draw |

Only three? Well, it wasn’t based on orgasm count. I’d have hundreds of thousands thanks to all the ASMR of me floating around out there. Even if it was just my own climaxes, I’d still have at least a hundred. I’d been a busy girl since arriving here. “What’s this enhance option?”

”For three points, you can eliminate the chance of getting a drawback! The more you dump in to a draw chance, the more likely you are to receive something extremely valuable.” Selene dripped back into her mysterious voice again. “Spend wisely!”

Well, I definitely didn’t want a drawback. I’d been pretty lucky, but there was no way I was going to risk getting hit with that kind of thing. “What all could I get from here?”

”Magic! Mystical items! Miracle medicines! There’s all sorts of stuff… I don’t really know the extent of it, to be honest.” Selene shrugged. “Most of Afterglow’s stuff is erotic, but there’s some real gems in there from what I saw when putting together the code.”

“Mmmm… Then I guess I should check it out?” Without delaying any further, I threw all three of my points into the enhancement option. No way I was going to risk a drawback. With all my points drained, I activated draw.

The world around me vanished into a bright pink nebula in an instant. The stars all around me swirled, flowing with mystical power that made me feel like a tiny ant witnessing a supernova. The stars twisted through the nebula as if guided by a loving hand, and condensed into a deck of cards oozing what felt like infinite power.

The cards seemingly forged from the stars slid out, 52 exactly, and floated in the air in front of me. Their backs were covered in an array of hearts and mystical symbols I could only guess at.

After hesitating a moment, I reached out to the top right card. As if sensing my intention, it floated down to me while the rest of the cards faded away. The overwhelming nebula vanished alongside it until I was sitting back in my bed with the card in hand. I carefully flicked it over.

[Paragon of Purity - You are incorruptible to all sources without your consent. You will always register as “pure of heart” for any test that is done on you. Your sprite is incredibly pure to the point even a divine will register it as such. (Perk)]

I read through the description a few times, and scratched my head. “Does that mean my hymen grew back?”

That would be incredibly inconvenient. My tail drifted away, and I leaned down to check—phew. I was still in the clear. It did open up a worry I hadn’t thought about, though. This Deck of Many Things might have many strange effects in it that I might not necessarily want. Stuff like forced gender change, monsterification, body warping—it might not be worth rolling through.

“Is there a way to refuse these?” I asked Selene, who was busy staring at my face with a confused expression.

”Selene?” I poked her cheek. Did fairies have a thing for purity? Ugh, this new Perk might be more annoying than I thought. Pure of heart? That kinda thing sounded more annoying than it was worth.

There it was. I waved my hand, banishing the system window. I picked Selene up, and pulled her up to my face. My tails pulled away, exposing my body fully once more. “Selene~ do you want to play with me~?

“EEP! Seren!” She immediately fluttered away from me with her pink wings. Her eyes widened as she stared at me. “What did you do?! How could someone like you—ahem.“”Someone like me?” I glared at the bratty little fairy. “Go on. Don’t hold back on my account.”

”I-I was just going to say someone so open to new experiences. That’s all.” Selene sheepishly rubbed at the back of her head. “You smell nice.”

My eyes narrowed for a moment. “Is there a way to refuse what I got from the Deck of Many Things?”

“No?” Selene scratched at her cheek. “Ah, I should probably code that in, shouldn’t I? I won’t be able to do anything about the drawbacks, but maybe some kind of recycling feature?”

“Are you making it yourself?” I looked at the small fairy in surprise. I figured there was, like, a catalog of system features out there. Unless maybe Selene was Afterglow’s only fairy? How did that work? Was I Afterglow’s only Realmwalker?

”What’s that supposed to mean?” Selene lifted her chin proudly, and puffed up her washboard chest. “I’m very talented at Primordial Coding! There’s a reason Afterglow picked me out of everyone else!”

Primordial Coding? I filed that away to the back of my mind, and put on a gentle smile to calm down the enraged fairy. “I was just asking because I was worried about you. Don’t work too hard, Selene.

”Oh… hehe, really?” She scratched at her head stupidly. The anger instantly faded into a happy smile.

”Of course! If something happened to you, I don’t know what I’d do.” Water sprung to my eyes, and I reached out to pet the fairy’s head.

I spent the next ten minutes praising Selene. I went over everything from how cute and lovable she was to her awesome skill at Primordial Coding. It was half in an attempt to appease her, and half an attempt to dig out more information about how the system worked. I didn’t get anything on that side of things though.

Eventually I slid out of bed and headed for the closet. Selene fluttered up right next to me as my tails wrapped around me like a robe. “Whatcha doing?”

”I have a date.” I pulled open my closet and looked through the endless amount of clothes. “I was thinking I’d wear a dress tonight… want to help me pick one out?”

”Of course!” Selene dropped onto my head and made herself at home between my ears. She grabbed onto the soft fur up there to keep herself stable. “I’m a fashion expert! What vibe are you looking for, Selene?”

”I want to blow the socks off a unicorn.” I pulled out a shimmering black dress and held it up into the light.

”Not that one! Oh! Grab that one! And your makeup should be simple.” She pulled on my ears as if to control my movements. “Your face is so beautiful… maybe just some eyeliner and light stuff? Unicorns tend to dislike anything fake. Oh, and—!”

And so began the longest hours of my life. I thought I had a good handle of fashion, but Selene drove home just how far I had to go. By the end of it, I was practically exhausted and the night hadn’t even begun.
