“This should be it!” I waved back to the taxi driver as I got out of the car.
“Ugh-huh?” He blinked, eyes trailing up from my exposed thighs to lock onto my face. After a moment, he remembered what he was doing and nodded his head. “Any time, miss.”
I covered my mouth with the back of the hand, though I couldn’t hide the mirth in my eyes. “Thank you.”
“Yep…” The driver shook his head, and pulled away before I could even pay for it. My tails swished happily as I looked down at myself. Yip, Selene really cooked. I was a little concerned when the usually ditzy fairy took charge, but she knew her fashion.
I had on a black dress that left both my thighs completely exposed. Two long, silky panels fell from the front and back to trail between my legs. Although the top halves of my thighs and sides were exposed, a short skirt covered up my groin and left just enough to the imagination. To make up for the covered skin, the dress draped low over my back, exposing most of it down to my tails.
A shiver went through me, and my tails curled up around my body to keep me warm. I looked like a fox goddess, but it wasn’t the warmest piece of clothing I’d worn. I rubbed my arms together and headed into the lobby of BlueLight Production.
Me: Here.
Willow: on my way down
I slid my phone back into a purse hanging limply from one of my tails. The lobby was totally empty since it was soo late. Thankfully, it wasn’t long before my date for the night appeared from the elevator.
Willow opted for a suit. A white buttoned up shirt covered her torso, and she held a black suit jacket tossed over her shoulder. The sleeves of her shirt were rolled up to fully expose her muscles in a flattering way. The moment the elevator doors opened, she smoothly slicked back her hair with a charming—
“Umm…” She froze mid motion, staring at me with wide eyes. Her gaze roved down my long legs and to the stilleto heels I was wearing before snapping up to my face. “Seren?”
”Yes?” I held back my smirk, and looked up at her innocently. One of my tails drifted lower, brushing against my thigh seductively. “Is something wrong?”
“I…” She shook her head. Before the unicorn could get her brain working once more, the elevator doors promptly slipped shut.
“Pfft!” A giggle erupted out of me as Willow was promptly whisked away back up into the building. For however suave and in control she looked, it was totally ruined by that one little mess up. I had a suspicion tonight would be fun.
The elevator took its sweet time returning my date back down to me. I checked my reflection in the lobby window while I was waiting, and smoothed down a stray lock of my pastel-pink hair.
Once the doors slid open, Willow stepped out like nothing had just happened whatsoever. Her jacket was still properly draped over her shoulder, and she had the confidence of a CEO that knew what she wanted. Only the faintest trace of pink across her cheeks and her twitching ears betrayed her.
I clasped my hands behind my back in a way that accentuated my chest, and tilted my head to the side. “Did you miss me already?”
”I was only gone for less than a minute, Seren.” Her lips twitched as she realized I wasn’t just going to let the elevator incident go.
”Maybe, but I was very lonely for every second of it~.” My tails pulled tighter against my body as if to self-soothe.
”I’m sure you suffered terribly in that time.” The unicorn stopped just in front of me. “You were just too beautiful I had to goo back up and make sure to wasn’t dreaming.”
“Aw, such a charmer. How can I stay upset when you’re acting like that?” I sighed dramatically and let my tails droop away from me. I looked up at her through my eyelashes. “If you wanted another look, you could’ve just asked.”
”Ah, there’s our seductive little fox.” Willow’s eyes sparkled with amusement. The damn unicorn was just way too sparkly even without trying. ”And here I thought you were going to act civil tonight.”
”I wonder… should I~?” My tails snapped up to cover me completely, hiding away the flashes of skin I’d been showing off. After a moment, they fanned out around me as if following a dance only they understood. “I am a fox of many talents.”
”I’m well aware.” Her eyes dipped briefly toward the expanse of my pale legs before sliding back up to my face. “Many talents indeed.”
“Oh?” My vulpine ears perked up. I hadn’t even needed to do anything that time! Damn was I good. It turned out I didn’t need those seduction classes after all.
Willow, ever the gentlewoman, offered her arm out to me. “If you’d give me the honor? Our reservation is in twenty minutes. As much as I’d love to talk to my beautiful date, I’d rather not be late.”
My hand slipped around her arm and held on tightly to her. Warmth radiated from beneath her shirt, making me draw ever so closer as she opened the door and a chill slipped into the lobby. A soft chuckle escaped her as my tails drew up to push away the cold.
Of course, I also took the chance to feel up her muscles. Ugh, I wanted those wrapped around me so bad. “Your date? Who decided that? Who’s to say you aren’t my date?”
“Ah, would you prefer if I called you the troublesome vixen I’ve been looking forward to seeing all month?” Willow asked with such earnestness that it took me off guard. Follow the newest chapters on novelping(.)com.
I blinked stupidly for a moment. Was she really looking forward to seeing me again that badly? Willow smiled down at me. Ugh, damn. She totally got me that time. “The first one was fine.”
Her laughter echoed out onto the street as she led me toward a car parked off to the side.
The restaurant we ended up going to was much nicer than anywhere I’d been. It was high up in one of the skyscrapers of the city, and looked down across the city center with a breathtaking view. Soft light glimmered against the polished wood of the place, and little candles flickered on the tables creating a deeply romantic atmosphere.
The gazes that came our way as we stepped in made me intimately aware of just how much skin I was showing. Especially when they lingered on my nine tails. We were both mythics, which meant we would stand out even in a crowd of distinguished figures. Not that I minded the gazes. I let Selene talk me into picking this dress for a reason.
A server appeared, and led us to a table near the windows as if Willow was a well known guest of this place. Then again, as one of the all time top streamers before she retired, it’d be weirder if people didn’t know who she was in a world like this.
“Here we are.” Willow pulled out my chair before I could. Unlike the other chairs patrons were using, this one had a high back and more than enough room to squeeze my tails through without feeling pained. It seemed a certain someone was far more attentive than I could’ve imagined.
Willow moved across the table, her hips swaying softly and adding a bit of feminine charm to her movement. I caught myself staring at her, and quickly looked out the window instead. There was something so annoyingly attractive about how natural she made everything look. Confidence practically oozed off of her.
”So,” she said as she took a seat, “how does it feel now that you’ve survived your first month?”
My hands dropped into my lap, and my eyes naturally were drawn back to my date. “Absolutely dreadful! Oh, how I’ve suffered. No one ever told this poor fox how difficult it would all be.”
”Really?” Willow just arched a silver eyebrow at me like she didn’t believe me in the slightest. “I heard someone’s doing exceptionally well. You even managed to hit your goal without many issues.”
“Whoever told you that is spreading rumours.” I sighed, and draped my arm across my forehead. My ears perked up high, though. “I’ve been targeted by trolls almost non stop. It’s truly too much.”
”Mhmm… it just means you’re making quite a name for yourself.” Willow took a sip from a glass of water. “I’ve heard you’re going to be quite the legend before long.”
My dramatic expressions instantly dropped, and I grinned at her. “That one sounds like it came from a credible source.”
Willow chuckled and picked up one of the menus. “I’m proud of you, Seren.”
My ears twitched. For a moment, my willingness to flirt dropped and one of my tails moved over to create some distance. “… thanks.”
Willow just handed me the menu with a smile. Dinner turned out to be surprisingly easy. Willow asked about everything, and I asked a fair number of questions in return. Conversation flowed easily, and it became even easier once the food actually came out.
The CEO, who made streaming look easy, shared quite a few stories from before she hit it big. One, in particular, involved a glitching model, a very panicked Daniel, and five hours of improvising while he desperately tried to fix the issues plaguing her model.
”So you spent an entire stream pretending your character was haunted?” I asked with a mystified laugh.
“I wasn’t just pretending, Seren.” She shot me a look like she couldn’t see why it was so funny. “My model was genuinely broken and glitching out.”
There was just something so funny about that to me. ”So your best solution was to keep playing along?”
“I had several thousand people watching me.” Willow shrugged, and poked at a salad she’d gotten. “What else was I supposed to do?”
“Call tech support to figure it out?” Though she probably didn’t have a full tech support team like those of us in the agency had.
She rolled her eyes in annoyance. “He was right next to me making ghost noises.”
I broke from suppressed giggles into outright laughter. A few of my tails thumped against the table in amusement as I tried to get myself back under control. The entire time, Willow just watched me with a soft smile. “What?”
Willow looked out the window at the city so far below us. ”Nothing, nothing… it's just nice to see you relaxed.”
“Careful, boss.” My smile shifted ever so slightly. “If you say sweet things like that, I might end up falling for you~.”
“Would that be a bad thing?” She asked.
”Mmmm, no. I suppose it wouldn’t.” Though I might regret it later. My mood suddenly went somber. Enjoying the story? Read on at g.com.
Willow draped her hand across the table in front of me. She didn’t grab my own hand or anything, and just left it there as an open invitation. Without much hesitation, I slid my fingers between hers. She gave me a warm smile in response. Somehow, that was worse for my poor heart than anything else throughout the night.
Dinner wrapped up quickly after that. Willow paid, of course. I would’ve offered, but the menu didn’t have price tags. I had a feeling it was one of those places that if you had to ask the price, you couldn’t afford it. I most definitely couldn’t afford it. I made some money from streaming, but not that much.
Outside the restaurant, the night air had chilled down considerably. I rubbed my arms in annoyance. My dress was beautiful and made me look drop-dead gorgeous, but it wasn’t very practical in the warmth department. Ugh, my stupid love of looking good. It betrayed me in the end.
“Cold?” Willow asked.
”A bit.” I shrugged. It wasn’t much of an issue, though.
Willow draped her suit jacket over my shoulders before I could say anything else. It was incredibly warm, and carried the faint scent of her perfume mixed with her unique cotton candy scent. My ears instantly pulled back happily. She must’ve been talking to Sable and figured out this body had a thing with scents. “Thank you.”
”You’re very welcome.” Willow slid her arm around my shoulders to keep the jacket in place as we headed back to her car.
I pulled the jacket closer around myself, and looked up to her with a sly smile. I instantly pushed down lewdfox before I could ruin the moment. “If you give me things that smell like you, I’m going to get attached.”
”Should I be worried about that?” Willow leaned down and pressed a kiss to my temple that sent a shiver down my body. “What if I want you to be attached to me?”
“I’m a very dangerous fox.” Though I wasn’t totally sure for which of us I’d be a danger to at the moment.
”I’ll try to remember that.” She raised a hand, and gently brushed a loose strand of hair away from my face. Her fingers lingered just at the base of my ear, and I leaned forward in expectation. ”Can I kiss you?”
Her gaze flicked down to my lips. For once, I didn’t feel like joking as my heart sped up. “I’d be disappointed if you didn’t.”
I laughed softly, and caught her by her shirt. My hands bunched in the fabric covering her belly, and I pulled her closer to me. I wasn’t taking no for an answer this time, and hopefully she wouldn’t either. Her head instantly lowered down to mine.
The kiss was gentle and soft, totally at odds with most of the kisses I’d shared with a certain wolf. It lasted just long enough to push back the cold and make me forget all about the fact that we were standing on a public sidewalk. Warmth flooded through me, and heat slid down my body just as her tongue slipped against mine.
I was used to kisses that were pure animal attraction. Her lips on mine felt much more restrained and deliberate. There was an anticipation to it, though it was held back like she was being careful how she handed me. It made me press even closer.
“Mmm.” My tails curled around us like a protective shield. A few brushed against her to hold her close. When she finally pulled away, leaving a strand that connected her lips to mine, I followed for half a second before I could stop myself.
Willow’s smile was absolutely insufferable as she wiped at her mouth. “Seren—“”Don’t say anything.” My tail thwapped gently against her chest.
”How do you know you won’t like what I’ll say?” She brushed my cheek and smoothed back several more strands of pink that’d been loosed by our mutual efforts.
”I…” I shook my head. “Fine.”
“I wasn’t expecting you to be such a clingy vixen.” She grinned, and dropped her hand to caress one of the tails wrapped around her body. Her touch sent a shudder up my spine. From this position, she looked even more majestic than I would’ve expected.
”I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I forced my tails to coil away from her. She sounded far too pleased with herself.
“I’m not complaining.” She pulled away, though it looked like the effort pained her. She dropped her hand back down to me in an invitation. “Something about you makes me want to be so close. It’s like you’ve become even more radiant since I saw you last time.”
“You charm all the girls like that?” I took her hand in mine. What a charmer. Seriously, did she—wait, radiant? And she was a unicorn… my thoughts drifted back to [Paragon of Purity]. Could that be having an effect? “So… what happens now?”
“Up to you.” Her thumb traced my knuckles as we started to walk back to her car. “We could call it a night and I’ll drive you back to your apartment. Or we head to my apartment.”
I leaned against her arm, letting one of my tails curl around her wrist. She was giving me a choice, and that made me want to choose her all the more. “Is your apartment warm?”
”I usually keep it at a cozy temperature.” She nodded her head, which caused her unicorn horn to bob around. “Why?”
I stood up on tippy toes to whisper into her ear. “Because I’m not wearing anything under this dress~.”
Her eyes went wide for a moment, and snapped down to my waist. Her pace stalled ever so slightly before picking back up. “Then I guess I’ll have to keep you warm.”
”Then I guess I’ll have to let you.” I grinned, and my hand tightened around hers. “Take me home, Willow.”
