Vikram jumped at the Khais and swung a punch at its face, but the Khais was too agile.

It circled around Vikram, grabbed him by the waist, and threw him over its shoulder.

Vikram slammed into the road, creating a crater.Full novel: RE: TURN OF MANA — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He kicked the Khais, sending it flying backward.

“He’s too skilled for his own good,” Vikram said, a hint of irritation in his voice.

Chandra shouted at him, “Oy!

Your head is bleeding!

Don’t take too long!”

Vikram and the Khais charged at each other and locked up, struggling in a hand-to-hand battle as they tried to overpower one another.

Unfortunately for the Khais, Vikram had the upper hand when it came to raw strength.

Vikram pulled the Khais toward him, spun around, and threw it over his shoulder.

The Khais tried to get back up, groaning like a mindless animal.

But Vikram was already enraged.

Blood trickled down his face from the wound on his head as he grabbed the Khais by the arm and kicked it repeatedly in the chest.

The Khais suddenly grabbed Vikram with its other hand, pulled him down, and began strangling him.

It roared directly into Vikram’s face.

Adrenaline rushed through Vikram’s body.

He kicked the Khais in the chest with both feet, forcing it away, and quickly got back to his feet.

He immediately unleashed a barrage of punches.

The Khais tried to grab Vikram’s arm, but Vikram began chanting the mantra:

“Mritlokadhipatih Prithivīsamrāt cha Tamasah Samutthito’ham.”

A golden ring appeared around his pupils.

A golden aura surrounded his fists.

With blood still trickling down his face, Vikram looked almost majestic.

Chandra’s mouth fell open in awe.

“What’s that?”

Power folded her arms beneath her chest proudly and smirked.

“This, dear Chandra, is the true power of his Vajra Bones.

Ordinarily, even without invoking their full might, they grant him supernatural strength and bones that are nigh indestructible.

But when he chants that mantra, divine power courses through his entire body, enveloping him completely.”

Vikram easily overwhelmed the Khais.

Every time the creature tried to grab him, Vikram struck it directly in the face.

Divine power coated his fists in a golden aura.

The Khais began weakening with every blow, groaning in immense pain.

Chandra watched the scene unfold, engraving every moment into his mind.

“Unbelievable…”

The Khais bent down to grab Vikram’s leg, but Vikram jumped and kicked it in the chest, sending it flying backward again.

“He’s persistent.

He doesn’t have a physical body, so his stamina is practically unlimited,” Vikram stated, observing the creature as he landed on his feet.

Power shouted, “VIKRAM!

You must continue fighting him until sunrise!

That is the only way to defeat him!”

Vikram heard Power and immediately dodged the Khais’s tackle.

He jumped over it and kicked it in the back, slamming it into the road and creating another crater.

Vikram put some distance between them.

“Phew…

here it comes again.”

This time, the Khais’s speed increased.

Vikram dodged its attacks.

He was still faster than the creature, and every time the Khais tried to grab him, Vikram avoided its grasp.

Chandra stared at them in disbelief.

“I’m not able to see them.

They’re too fast!”

Power smirked teasingly at Chandra and replied with mock innocence,

“Oh?

You cannot see them?

How unfortunate.

I, however, can see them perfectly well.”

Chandra became slightly irritated.

“Don’t flex.”

Vikram was beginning to get bored.

“Yes!

Just a few more minutes.”

He concentrated his divine energy into a single punch and struck the Khais directly in the gut.

The Khais immediately froze, its body paralyzed.

Vikram grabbed its arm and threw it over his shoulder with all his strength.

“AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!”

BOOM!

A massive crater formed in the ground.

The sun had now fully risen.

The Khais began to vanish, its body slowly dissolving into the morning light.

Chandra watched it disappear.

“So, it finally ended.”

Vikram panted heavily and wiped the sweat from his forehead as he walked toward Power and Chandra.

He groaned tiredly.

“Haaaa…

let’s go.

I’m tired and sleepy.”

Power rolled her eyes.

“As you command, Your Majesty.”

The three of them began walking back.

Chandra glanced over his shoulder one last time at the vanishing Khais.

For a brief moment, he thought he saw a faint smirk on the creature’s face before it completely disappeared.

Chandra looked puzzled.

Power nudged him with her elbow.

“What troubles you?”

Chandra looked at her.

He was about to say something, but the words died in his mouth.

“Nothing.”

They continued walking.

Power looked at him for a moment but decided not to press the matter.

Vikram yawned and stretched his arms over his head as they walked away.

Power went to her room in the Mayasabha, which was made of clouds, golden-white marble, and walls covered in intricate designs.

She clapped her hands, and a few maids emerged from thin air.

They prepared her bed, helped her change into a white silk nightgown, and she soon fell asleep.

Vikram lay on his bed after bandaging his head.

Chandra, on the other hand, was still awake, thinking about that smirk.

“Anyways, we’ll see what happens next.”

He opened his laptop and started studying Python basics.

The three of them returned to their daily lives as they continued dealing with the threats appearing around them.

The police station had a different aura that morning.

All the constables and officers were gathered inside SP Samradh’s cabin.

He was reviewing files on the supernatural incidents that had occurred across the city.

He opened the first file.

The first photograph showed a robbery incident that had happened twenty years ago, when a group of robbers abducted Vikram while fleeing, intending to use him as leverage to stop the police from following them.

He turned the page.

The next incident had taken place in a hospital.

Sadhna, a woman who had somehow gained control over her hair, had caused massive destruction inside the building.

He turned to the third page.

The report described the abnormal deaths at Mazegaon Dock.

A crane on the container road had been cut cleanly, as if someone had sliced through it like butter.

He turned the page again.

The next file contained the Petrol Pump Road incident in Amrut Nagar—the abnormal death of the victim, with no one having heard a single sound during the incident.

SP Samradh closed the files and looked at the officers.

“This is a strange phenomenon happening around us.

And according to the reports, there is one more person involved—someone they call King.”

Ansh spoke up.

“Yes.

We saw him on the CCTV.

And it’s not just Ansh.

That boy, Vikram, is also involved.

Although neither of them displayed any obvious supernatural powers on camera, their immense physical strength is abnormal.”

SP Samradh rubbed his forehead and sighed.

“Keep an eye on Vikram, and try to find this King guy.

I have a feeling these strange incidents are going to increase.

I’ve already informed the Defence Minister.” Enjoying the story? Read on at g.com.

He looked each of them in the eye.

“They have witnessed multiple people displaying strange powers.

This isn’t a rumor anymore.

It’s real.

People are gaining supernatural abilities.

They’ll soon tell us what needs to be done, but the current state of the world is already like a Cold War.”

Everyone gasped.

One middle-aged constable asked worriedly,

“Sir, but we haven’t seen anything about this on the news or anywhere else.”

SP Samradh looked at him.

“Because all the governments in the world are actively trying to suppress this kind of information.”

He typed something on his computer.

The printer suddenly came to life and began printing several pages.

“We have the names and identities of everyone who has gained these powers.

They don’t know it yet, but they are being actively monitored.”

Several surveillance operations were already unfolding across the city.

A man standing in a building a few lanes away was watching Vikram’s window.

At Sadhna’s house, a maid remained on high alert, keeping a close eye on Sadhna’s every movement.

Elsewhere, King sat on the corpse of a spy, casually looking through the dead man’s wallet.

“Wow.

He managed to find me.”

Kali replied in a deep, ancient voice.

“They are certainly keeping watch over all those who possess supernatural abilities.

Things are becoming rather interesting.”

King laughed.

Back at the police station, SP Samradh handed the printed documents to the officers.

“These are all the identified people who possess supernatural abilities.

They have been classified as ‘Siddhas.'”

The officers looked down at the papers.

Ansh read one of the entries in amazement.

“A twenty-five-year-old male named Bhim.

He becomes stronger the longer he fights…

but apparently, he also gets drunk?”

SP Samradh scoffed.

“Hmph.

As I said, weird incidents.”

A man entered the cabin and handed everyone tea in small paper cups.

“Thank you,” several officers said.

Samradh took a sip.

“So, in conclusion, we’re living through difficult times.

Don’t take this lightly, and report any Siddhas you come across.”

Ansh hesitated before speaking.

“Don’t you think they’ll capture them?”

Everyone went silent.

“They will,” Samradh said.

He placed his cup down on the table.

“These guys are more dangerous than people with guns.

They’re unpredictable.

If the wrong person becomes a Siddha, then he could become a threat to thousands of people.”

He paused.

“Power is a drug.

It makes people do things without worrying about the consequences.

And in times like these, who wouldn’t want to rise above everyone else?”

His voice hardened.

“We need to find them.

Keep track of them.

And if the time comes…”

He paused for a moment.

“We need to finish them.”

Everyone fell silent.

They looked unsettled by the way he had described it, but none of them could deny the truth behind his words.
